This is the worst experience I have ever had with a website. After setting up my website on Hostgator, I have received thousands of calls, texts, and emails from solicitors, spammers and scammers trying to sell me website creating services. Blocking them doesn't help with the call volume, purchasing the privacy package does nothing to stop the calls, their website doesn't let me change my contact info to a new number, emailing their privacy service to ask them not to sell your personal information to 3rd party solicitors does nothing to help, and customer service has been no help at all in resolving this. Customer Service told me I have to wait until my one year subscription ends before they can take down my site. Seriously?! I have had the same phone number for the last 20 years and for the first time ever, I am going to have no other choice but to change my DAMN phone number. It would nice to have had a WARNING not to put your real contact info when setting up the website. Horrible experience.

There was a bit of confusion on how to get the site live. And there was a problem with the SSL not recognizing the site however thanks to customer service these issues were fixed.
Fixed the issue within a reasonable amount of time.
Suggested by a former customer of yours.

I am finding the website very confusing and hard to find what I need. I spent hours yesterday and got nowhere. There is so much info and new terminology I am finding it overwhelming.

The representative was unable to even locate my account even after sending screenshots of the account. This went on for 2 hours and they wouldn't even transfer me to anyone else for further support.
It's almost impossible to reach anyone to get any kind of support.
At this point I am contacting other companies and looking to switch away from HostGator

I've been using hostgator and weebly website builder for 3 years, and it's been easy and convenient to use. I am satisfied with the overall experience and will continue to use the hosting service.
I've contacted customer service a few times throughout the years, but unfortunately, they don't seem to help much. Instead the issues resolved itself eventually.
It's been recommended by a friend. I forgot the details, but that's what made me take the leap to make a website with Hostgator.
