Hostgators performance has been deteriorating over the years. I probably won't renew when my term is up. Asking me how my experience for this session is when i haven't done anything yet other than log in is pretty ridiculous.

The website certificate keeps expiring approx. Every 2 months. I'm running an Angular app which is a single-page application and every time the certificate gets updated the.htaccess breaks. It breaks by throwing a server error when user refreshes the page.

This is NOT a user friendly hosting company and finding a template is painful, actually. Don't know if I login under Word Press, or Host Gator or what! I have built 2 sites many years ago, and it was simpler back then!

The support team over chat was very helpful and fast. I rarely have a problem with Hostgator and whenever I can't figure something out on my own the support solves it or explains it almost immediately.
There was a configuration issue with a migrated domain that I couldn't figure out after trying on my own, so I had to contact customer service. They went in, fixed it for me, then explained what happened and what they did to fix it. I learned something new!
It's a well-known company and the prices are very low. Great value for what you get.

Excellent support! Over the last 2 decades I've taught myself many things, but when I get really stuck I know I can go to Hostgator Support and they will bend backwards to help me find the solutions I need. When they can't they are gracious to offer more suggestions that I can check out. In the last 2-3 years I've been trying to learn to set up an eCommerce site. I've run into dead-ends several times, and Support has done their best to help me out. I don't know if I'll learn as much as they know, but I am gaining in experience and persistence in my learning curve.

MIgration a server of accounts is a very painful process, entering each and every account detail whereas I have root access to all accounts that need transfering. Also, there is no way for me to see the progress on the transfers.

They are low cost. But they have screwed up my WordPress and email for the last month. 10 hours on the phone and they still don't have it configured correctly, but after 2 weeks with the site down, it is working at least

HostGator generally provides a quality service for a reasonable amount of money with good support that is always available. However, they upgraded the user interface recently and there has been nothing but problems recently. I hope once these issues are resolved that the service returns to the reliablity that I have come to expect.

I had an issue changing my domain name for my Wordpress website and Sharan quickly helped me troubleshoot my issue through live chat support. I was a bit nervous that I did something wrong and it would be difficult to get my website back up, but he made the fix was smooth and was extremely patient in helping to answer all my questions. I was able to get my website back up and running within 30 minutes. Thank you Sharan for your assistance. The renew fee is exorbitant! I demand to know if there are any options for reducing the cost or if there is a way to negotiate a lower fee. It's important to me that I'm getting a fair price and I will not settle for anything less.

Looks like things have changed and I don't care for that. You required I made a pin with 6 numbers yet I already had one with 4 numbers so it was confusing and now I have to hunt for stuff after getting assaulted by ads.

Set a new site on my account. Generated a 404 error I could not clear. Deleted the site, now I have an error saying my dashboard is unavailable. Additionally, I had wanted to set up WordPress, but, it was not available. Did a support chat, and they couldn't help me but kicked it up to another level of support.

The new site design is terrible. Before, I used to find things really easy. But now it's gotten complicated for no reason. It might be simple and easy for the one who designed the site, but not for the user, I'm afraid.

I had several questions concerning my latest bill for hosting and also pricing. The representative took her time and investigated the issue and found that HostGator had made a billing error. She corrected it immediately. She also answered all of my questions about my account. I received excellent service from this HostGator employee and would recommend HostGator to my friends.

Simple Machines Forum was not working, page was coming up blank; seems database was not connecting. I think SMF version was changed from 2. 0. 6 to 2. 0. 19 by Hostgator "admin" that support representative was consulting with. Still cannot find where the database is stored. Changes that Hostgator Admin makes, could be listed so that we know what to look for in the future, as this was the second time the forum disappeared.
website forum was restored
Monthly rate was low for our club and Hostgator support does seem to respond quickly, although fixes take some time on the phone or chat (~1 hour). However, problems and fixes done may not be understood by this customer... need list of actions taken.

I don't feel I got the service equal to the value I paid. My websites and hosting are insecure. Even they have been hacked and some installed they domain on my package. Never got comfortable with the way Hostgator displays the billing or help to keep them safe and organized renewal. Never happy!

Two issues: Every time I sign in to my account it automatically tries to suggest a password instead of me being able to use the password I saved. It's really annoying that I have to go find my password every time and plug it in manually.
2. The links on my account do not go to the proper pages - I have two accounts and they are mixed up with links.

The are too many things to pay apart, and even though I had already paid to renew the security of my website, it is again saying that it is not a secure site. Why? I don't know. Also, the platform is not easy to understand.

I've been a hostgator customer for more than 10 years, I always recommended you guys because I consider you had a great services at a great cost. Also your hosting packages were flexible enough.
