It was reasonably priced and gave good service for the first 3 years. However, as I'm about to renew it is charging 3 times more for three years. Sadly, it is too much. So, I have to leave. However, I really liked the service.

Here I'd like to share my experience dealing with HostGator for the last three or four years already. I like most of you, first check the company that could provide high-class hosting options for WordPress. Second, I checked the prices, and third, not less important for me I also took attention to the verbal assistance. I could say that HostGator is #1 not only in providing high class and reasonable prices for the hosting but it providing amazing assistance service. Just today I lost some important information and the serviceman of the HostGator was with me all the time until I did not find out all the necessary information. I can just say: Bravo HostGator! Today when most webpages provide either FAQ service or bot service it is so rare and so valuable to have online chat with a professional. Good Job, I'd say!

I recently signed up with Hostgator for my new website. Unfortunately I am locked out of the web site. I contacted Microsoft and they confirmed that the issue was not with either of my computers and that I should contact yourselves. Please could you investigate the problem. When | log into Hostgator and press "edit site" I get a message "unable to open the site". My address is www.scrabophotography.com, and my email is *******@gmail.com.

It appears by the hundreds of phone calls I have had since I registered 4americans2day,net. You have sold my phone number to every wordpress designer in the world, I have 10 more domains to transfer, but I am sitting on that until I find a better solution, And don't forget this, I have literally owned hundreds of domains in my life time. But I never had this kind privacy invasion. I can't afford privacy on all my domains.

It used to be a great host with excellent customer service, but the service sucks now. A bunch of asians speaking poor english with insufficent technical skills. It took me four calls to get the right person to resolve something that turned out to be simple

I am satisfied with Hostgator's service, the purchase of my domain and the management of it is very easy. I had a problem and the customer service solved it quickly and well.
I had a problem with connecting my domain to Wordpress and the customer service was very helpful. They kindly solved the problem for me. I am happy with the support I received.

I have a domain that I no longer want because the client did not want it after I paid for it. It is on auto renewal even though I did not put it on autorenewal. The dashboard won't let me take it off autorenewal. You just charged me for it which I was willing to let go, but I sure don't want to pay for it again next time. If I don't want something on autorenewal or I want to stop having a domain I need to be able to do so. This is exactly what made me leave my last domain registrar.

What has happened to Hostgator? I came in for the first time in a few months and there seems to be issues with my account? I told I am not secure and yet I pay for security through my account. (Please check invoices) Also, last time one of my websites does not chow on the cPanel.

Your support team is the best, always willing to help, polite and are your top selling point, other include your cpanel which is top notch and user friendly too.
However, the only problem I have is the limited payment method, I suggest you integrate crypto payment to make payment more convenient as it's widely used, the new trend and the future.

New dashboard have many issues, even on payment time deducted payment many time. Because on payment click your page is not moving to next step and client feel this is not going to next if you click next time you can see 2 invoices on same time.
I face issue 2 time and one time after click I checked my invoice so there have one invoice but on dashboard its not going to next step.
Also your hostgator dashboard for all hosting we can't find with name of main domain name.

Seems your company has changed, I don't care for the service as much as I used to. The representatives aren't as helpful as they used to be, the login is not as great. I have to say I can't see staying with your company long term anymore.

The only thing that get me a bit confused is that I have activated all of my site protections and on each login I am greeted with the your sites are not protected screen and it asks me whether I want to proceed with site protection for a fee or not.

I am furious that my name is exposed and HostGator wants more money to do what I originally contracted with them to do.

My sole reason for migrating from Godaddy to Hostgator was to have my SSL automatically maintained so that I had no web outages. That is not working as I hoped. Your techs are great about getting it working again, but it is not automatic.

This new dashboard is very complicated.
1- I can't find my previous orders in my billing history.
2- It's very difficult to make a payment.
3- I have 1 account with the same credit card but it is registered as 12 separed accounts if I have 12 services to pay for. When it is time to change my credit card information I need to do it 12 times.
4- I lost a lot of time using this new dashboard
5- Difficult to know that hosting plan I am using since many of then are listed but NOT working.
6- The dashboard homepage sucks. Change it please.

Time for support. The average support call based on the 7 calls that I have completed is 37 mins. Way to long. Most of the techs cannot resolve the call on their own and have to reach out to other groups to resolve the issue.

We have used Hostgator for over 10 years and use to get 1Tb storage with unlimited sites on our hosting packages. Now we are getting limited storage and websites. You are no different than Blue Hosting to be honest. This is making us now look at alternatives as we might not be with Hostgator for another 10 years as you change things

I have called the help desk MULTIPLE times to resolve an email issue and it is still not working properly. I find the background noises during these calls to be unprofessional and I can actually hear other customers' conversations.

My domain was deactivated because I didn't verify my email. I really thought my email was already verified since all my billing info an other notifications were going to my inbox. There should be an initial verification process to avoid this kind of misunderstanding. Other than that this service is great so far. I wish I didn't have to wait up to 48 hours for my domain to re-register, this is the worse possible time to be down due to being the last working week before the holiday this month.

Fraudulent company. They will not listen to you but will be quick to listen if you want to pay them to sabotage your competitor. If you have a website please DON'T host here. They will be ready to take money from your competitors and ask them to pay. When you come asking why your website was suspended they will close the chats and not even pick your calls.
They suspended my website and asked me to pay $5000 if i wanted if to be activated. Fortunately, I had a backup. It if didn't have i was almost paying.

Avoid this is fraud and scam company.

HostGator is like some; others - using cPanel. This is I feel is the best way to fully utilize the functionality and completeness of an install and full on support. Which brings me to support! Bar none; HostGator truely extends the use of the help desk functions and the individuals who are by the way quite knowledgeable. If you are using the chat function to resolve, add, move files what ever that may be fine. If it may be in the rehlm of other tech help in which your current help desk is unable to comply?; you are forwarded to that certain help desk person and - YES 99% of the time - you end up with issue / problem solved. HEY! Not everything ever goes right. As long as you can accept that - then, by all means; you will have landed the help you were looking for. With that said - HostGator is extremely reliable and certainly fully supportive of their customers. Enjoy your site choice and relax. They got you.

Early I left an online review that was not positive for another online rep and it was perhaps too hasty. That rep offered me the CodeGuard which is what I needed (and later purchased with Cris's help), but I did not understand what the product was and grew impatient. I apologize and feel my low rating was unfair. That rep knew exactly what i need, only again, I didn't understand the name.

Everything you need to have your own web site, I think. If you understand web pages and domains then Hostgator is for you. If you're new to web pages and domains, maybe a class or two before looking for a host would be very wise as the Hostgator web site is very confusing.
