I am in IT, and I have been doing this over 20 years, I like Hostgator, but its not user friendly. I had used Godaddy in the past, and found it much easier to use, perhaps I should of had the system build my website for me.

I did have a problem with wp form (would not deliver in my box) many many tries. I chated with gator support. They sent my request on to wordpress support with no response after 5 days, I ended up paying fixrunner to fix it, which in the end did not solve the problem. That was my only complaint with gator, that they sent me on to wordpress... which did not happen... twice.
I did describe above.
Learnt thru tylor's smart advertisement trick. It was good though. I appreciated it. Lets see what the bill wil be next year!

I have had a ticket open for over a week without any response. My website is down, backups kept for only two days so no rollback available - no response to a ticket asking for help to uninstall an unhelpful WordPress update

I've been with HostGator on and off for over 20 years, utilizing shared servers. However, the last 5 or so has been an absolute headache. The latest is due to an outdated MySQL version which I need for my WordPress website plugins. I'm told that I must change to VPS or Dedicated Plan (which is out of my price range) or just not use those plugins. I'm going to have to seek another hosting service at this point as I cannot wait to see when HG ever gets around to upgrading.

Everything is made harder than it should be. Chat assistants don't seem to be reading messages properly so have difficulty understanding the basics of my enquiry.

I have contacted support chat twice and both times they said someone from the team will contact me. That was last week and at least 7 days ago. In the meantime, my hosted websites are still down with malware.

I redirected www.bamini.uk to other hosting services and they are running properly. I would like to know how to fix www.bamini.sg if I am hosting it in hostgator. Please let me know asap. Thks!

My site is down every other day and when chat with the representative, they say it is A Record something. Additionally, my SSL for webmial is not working. It is mail.myumasecurity.com it says it is unsecure where I paid for it. The client service I chat today did not helped and disconnected me and I was really pissed off of his responses.

I originally chose HostGator because it had a competitive price for the features it provided. That is no longer the case, as HostGator has jacked its prices up nearly 50% over just the past couple years, plus when I tried to ask for a price match with a hosting service offering the exact same features at half the cost, not only did HostGator decline to do this but I have been receiving an EXCESSIVE amount of direct advertising to my inbox from HostGator since, typically receiving about 3~5 such ads a week, asking me to spend even MORE money I don't have on HostGator services. As such, I will be switching from HostGator to another provider in May, three months ahead of my site's automatic renewal in August.

Of all the times I've had to worked with Tech Support, this experience was one of the three best experiences I've had with Texh Support. I needed to know how to access my email in my site as I've never done this before. Not only did ˆ learn how, I also learned what I had previously requested to be done, (i.e. Setting up a "No Reply" email, as well as an email where it was from "Sunnye"), this was not accomplished. One was not set up correctly (No Reply) and the other (Sunnye) was not st up at all.
This time I got Louise and she set up the "No Reply", as well as showing me how I could set up the "Sunnye" email, as well as the signature. Her patience and professionalism were exemplary. I'm so appreciative of her for showing me how to do something that is new to me.
Louise is an asset to your Tech Support team. Please remember to reward her when review time come around for her. She is definitely a valuable member of the Host Gator Tech Support team.

Hostgator's customer service sucks! Billing issues have to be handled by disputes with credit card issuers because Hostgator refuses to make corrections. But of course you know you suck!
