My domain auto renewal was mysteriously turned off so I lost my website I had been paying to keep online for many years. I'm not happy at all and support is abysmal

Everything was good until lately when you reviewed your packages. My NEWLY purchased VPS account - (server-*******.turgidmax.com) has been so problematic with varying Errors ranging from DNS etc. Webmails don't work on this server, I am tired contacting SUPPORT on weekly basis. My old Aluminum Reseller still works Perfect with no single error. The other annoying part is that SOME of the support guys we meet on the Live Chat are not very knowledgeable. Am already moving my clients site away from this VPS account as it has affected the integrity of the services I offer as a reseller.

The operator was able to give me a link to get into my site editor but wasn't able to understand that the link that I should be able to click from the dashboard wasn't working. It is now, thankfully, not sure what the problem was but I had wanted hostgator to be aware of the problem at the time, not sure if it was ever reported that it hadn't been working.

I lost money during the Hostgator server upgrades that started a few years ago. All of my sites were compromised when the switch happened and I was told I would have to pay $399 per site to recover.

You owe me about $500 because I did not receive what you advertised - because after I signed up you say that the offer only applied to US / Canadians (you said nothing about that in your ads),
Second, when I log in I am met with a huge advert asking me to sign up for some "privacy" protection which is essentially a scam, it is not needed. And then you do EVERYTHING you can to make me miss-click, ordering that scam by mistake.
I do not know how you would think that the above is taking care of your customers.

Attempting to make the switch from GoDaddy. I have reached out to customer service 3 times not concerning connecting to a MySQL database. NOBODY has been helpful AT ALL and there is no online help either. A simple database connection has taken me hours already and I am still not able to connect. This is definitely not a good introduction to HostGator!

Everything was simple and very easy to use. My website is now loading faster than with my last hosting company.
I was concerned that the migration wouldn't be done in time before my previous host company was going to renew my old account, but they assured me it would be completed in time... and it was!
When gathering information on comparing several hosting companies, HostGator drew my interest. The more I searched, the more I was intrigued. From my comparison research, one of my clients chose HostGator, which allowed me to work with HostGator before I made my switch. Now, I am with HostGator, my client is with HostGator and two more will be moving to HostGator as well soon.

Since your upgrades absolutely nothing works, cant edit my websites, your support still have open ticket nothing been done for over 2 months, your overall hosting has gone from pretty good to of no use at all to anyone... Of course an AI bot will be reading this and nothing will happen but hey why not write something anyway. I've been w/Hostgator since 2010 and I have NEVER had a rate increase doubling my monthly payment AND INCREASED WITHOUT NOTICE. All I received is apologies for the lack of communication received from the company.
I am considering another hosting company to house all of my company's business needs. I no longer trust a company that would double it's rates on long standing customers, plus force customers to "save" credit card information on the site so payments can be auto-billed without permission, and so many other things.
Let's just say, I've grown despondent w/Hostgator and maybe it's time to part ways. They're not the only game in town (or didn't they know that).
