There is no security check in the server for fraud access. One of your support said that through website any body can have access to the server like add fraud email forward

It took several weeks to get my sites up. Multiple correspondences went unanswered. Eventually, two sites were restored but one wasn't so I had to reach out again.

I am a hostgator reseller and I have been one for over 15 years. I DREAD having to contact support when I have a problem. First Level knows NOTHING ABOUT ANYTING. Completely untrained and unable to read English, they ask me the same questions over and over then tell me they need to escalate it to Tier 2 which is 24 to 48 hours... which is a lie, its more like 5 -14 days. Im out - this last one today was the last straw and IM moving my reselleer sites somewhere else. Its like I am chatting with 12 year olds who have no computer experience

I have asked to cancel my domain and I turned off auto renewal. I then got an email today saying that my credit card could still be charged unless I contact support again.

It's OK at the moment. No major problems. But with Wordpress, Elementor I encounted some limitations with certains themes and I had to remove my images and video clips due to responsive restrictions and not appearing as I wanted in the mobile view and tablet view. I think this has to be tested by Hostgator extensively, and exhaustively about the formating limitations before you approve webdeveloppers to plugin new or old popular themes or plugins. Otherwise reputation responsibility comes to Hostgator.

I have been with Hostgator for 10 years
In the last 6 months I have been experiencing consistent trouble with the SSL padlock... my 2 sites go off because of the SSL is not active, and I have an active ssl with both of my sites www.marugarcia.com and www.humanstrategy.net... I´m tired of gasting time calling for support for the same thing at least every 5 weeks for one of my two domins.

So I started a migration of my Wordpress website off of GoDaddy 4-5 days ago. Unfortunately, the Hostgator techs could not access my GoDaddy C-Panel to migrate my web app files and SQL database due to firewall issues on the GoDaddy portal which I could not whitelist. After many chats and a few online phone calls, we were able to plow ahead and get the job done. Very happy with Nishmitha tonite because he/she accomplished the final steps to get my website, scribbleimages.com, back in perfect order. And it is much faster on this Hostgator platform than it was on GoDaddy. So far, very happy with the outcome. I am in their Shared BABY hosting plan - saving a lot of money with more capability than I had with GoDaddy - what's not to love.
Tip for consumers:
If you are migrating a website, start at least 2 weeks before your current provider's hosting contract runs out. I was able to get this done in about 9 days - but I probably had a more complex situation than most.

I previously was rebilled after receiving a refund from HostGator for services I never used and had canceled. The agent that I spoke to to receive the original refund even confirmed that I had cancelled, but the next month I was rebilled for the service. Since I don't monitor that acct very often, it wasn't caught for over 6 months. Extremely disappointed
