After setting up an account w/hosting, I received an email 'Getting Started with Optimized Wordpress' with info for my account and links to guided walkthroughs to setting things like email and wordpress up... NONE OF THE LINKS WORK! They either go straight to the customer login portal and then dashboard and no tutorial, or they link to a page like this https://www.hostgator.com/domains/?walkme=******* or in other cases a nonfunctional page. Not one of them actually goes to any helpful info. WTF?

Selling someone a hosting package with listed features and then taking away the features, I believe is called false advertisement and theft. Waiting for a call to find out for sure.

Completely Dissatisfied with the Technical Support Services, Renewing the SSL for 3 months and every time the site goes down for a week or more but they are not interested to look in to the issue seriously.Issue at HostGator End because they are the one renewing the SSL certificate and each time the site having problem.

My site has been down multiple times and receiving 503 errors where it is unavailable to update the site. Also loading the site takes a while and the website does not have any heavy content.

Not a very intuitive interface for rookies. For example, I don't even know how to simply delete a website that I created from the Dashboard. Terrible design.

I have chosen HOSTGATOR for over 13 years because they were the best. But two years ago I started losing all my customers, losing everything Hostgator had helped me set up thanks to perfect service, escalated support was available at any time. The supports were simply human.
But everything has changed, today I lost my business, services have become more expensive, escalated support interventions take time.
First level support is no longer able to resolve the problems.
Today I am honestly thinking of leaving hostgator because I no longer recognize hotgator which I liked.
I have lost more than 60 clients and every day clients leave my agency because when there is a problem, sometimes after weeks, the problem is not resolved and when it is resolved, it is too late to We are losing customers.
I was sincere.
Soon you will suspend my hosting again because my credit card is not yet credited by my bank.
You gave us 10 days after the due date but you canceled all that.
You are no longer human and after more than 13 years of loyalty, it is with a pang of heart that I am looking for other suppliers.
Sometimes I have problems with my server for months, but you don't even give a discount.
After 13 years of loyalty, what can you do for me to bring me back?
I remain waiting for your response.

Back in 2009 when I started my reseller hosting, I chose HostGator because I liked Brent Oxley's (HostGator founder) focus to providing the best hosting services backed up with outstanding customer service.
That ended when EIG purchased HostGator from Brent in 2012. Service rapidly deteriorated to where my hosting was subpar and customer support staff was reduced to less than half, which lead to support call wait times to many times over an hour. And support tickets taking two or more days before I received a reply.
But I stuck with HostGator, hoping it would improve.
It eventually did. But it took many years.
Support wait times have reduced as well.
I am leaving HostGator because a few issues that have happened in the past few years.

P.S. My recent calls to HostGator over the past few days have been excellent with Mike and Jamie. As well as a month ago on January 20th when I called to cancel my hosting. Sorry, I don't recall the gentleman's name, but he was great as well.

The new experience is terrible for these reasons:
1) I can no longer use Bitwarden to auto-enter my credentials. I have to manually copy/paste.
2) I get a popup every day trying to get me to pay more money. I already paid once, but I still get this screen
3) To get to the CPanel, I have to click "CPanel Email", then click cancel on the overlay, then click CPanel.
The two features I use the most are "Redirects" and "File Manager" within CPanel. It takes nearly a dozen clicks to get to these features. Ideally, I would have login credentials that take me right to CPanel instead of having to jump through all the click hoops to get ther.

I choose HostGator because based on the info I researched setting up my website was going to be super easy! This is ending up being an expensive BAD MISTAKE! I have no idea where to start and I keep getting directed to WordPress which seems as UNUSERFRIENDLY as it gets! Thanks for taking my $$ and I still cannot set up my website!
