My website had been down for over 24 hours. I communicated with at least 4 different customer service persons in your organization. They all let me down. They were either uninformative, or evading questions i had, because they did not know the answer. However, once I reached Mayre, i explained to her my problem and mentioned my anxiousness is not directed toward her personally. She not only understood, but she took it upon herself to communicate with technicians who could give her answers while i held on the line. She was patient and not frustrated or intimidated at all. Once she had the choices in front of her, she gave me the options. We discussed for a moment, I approved one, and she handled the fix by herself. She turned out to be great. Just what i needed. This person is a perfect example of proper customer service. She should be a manager, and if she isnt yet, you should make her one. Let the others learn from her. It is my honest pleasure to take the time to give her credit. She deserves it.

I'm happy that a rep reached out with a fix that worked for me. It's unfortunate that HostGators email system is not effective but I'm happy to rely on Google instead.

This was a server migration from one VPS to another, fragile, complex and fraught with problems. After one week the migration was a total success. This is great in anyones book.

The old Hostgator Billing Portal use to be functional and easier to navigate. Now its a struggle just to jump to your Cpanel or Emails quickly as a site / server owner

Ionos sucked so bad, I had the biggest website nightmare of all time and after the second time of them messing up and deleting my whole entire website there was absolutely no way I was staying.

Overall, the experience is good as a Windows Hosting package, but there are items missing such as the ability to access my MSSQL database via Plesk. This is forcing me now to obtain hosting from another provider (SMARTERASP.NET) as they do provide this feature. I had contacted Hostgator about this, but got no result.

New account portal is painful and right now is not working - when I click on the cpanel email link, and then email boxes on the pop up, I keep ending up on an error page.

I have not once had any downtime with hostgator. Every question I have had were answered quickly. I have recommended my friends to them and they have all been happy with them.
When I switched to my main income source of business being online, I put my faith into hostgator. I have been quite pleased with them. When you think hosting providers it comes down to just a few key things:
Price: You can get the first month hatchling plan for a penny (coupon code: PENNYSAVER), then its only about $7 a mmonth after that. I have not found anything with a similar price value.
Reliability: I work from home, and it is super important to have 100% uptime. Hostgator does this for me.
Speed: So, Google now can rank sites based on their loading speed. I have gotten every one of my sites on the first page of google with the speed that hostgator has.
Tools: They give you a lot of tools in the dashboard. You won't need half of them. Buuut they are all nice to have just in case.
I highly recommend them.
