I used to pay $4.95/mo on a 3 year deal, now I am WAY more. You have been robbing me for the past year.

I used hostgator during their promotional discounted offer. Their promotional offer was so cheap that I decided to buy multiple domains and use their hosting for my business. I checked hostgator reviews before I signed up. There were actually a lot of "stay away" reviews. Customers complained about getting charged for services they cancelled. I naively thought this won't happen to me. Boy, was I WRONG.
I requested to cancel my domain privacy service in April 2016. They told me everything is cancelled. I have the chat message and everything. In August 2016 I realized they were still charging my business card. I thought, wait this isn't right. At this point I still had Domains with them. But I signed up for an annual plan so I should only be billed annually. So I logged into my hostgator account and saw that they've been charging me for the same service I cancelled 4 months ago.
So I contact them again and ask what the heck is going on. They said that they were charging me for my other domains. Let me note that I had over 10 domains but only signed one of them up for domain privacy. So I made it clear in August that I want it cancelled for all domains not just one. They promised they would.
Guess what? You guessed right. It's now December 2016 and I'm still being charged. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. And they still continue to charge me. I have to get a new card because these guys are liars and scammers. I should have paid attention to the negative reviews. They make money off subscriptions that people forget about. They don't make cancellations!
Stay away from Hostgator at all cost! They will never stop charging you!

Our site was down from Saturday until Monday because no SSL was applied. We didn't have e-mail until Tuesday because our MX, CName & TXT records were overwritten and the people I talked to on the phone wouldn't take down what they should be until I finally did around 11 on Tuesday. I couldn't talk to our team because we use Windows server & they don't answer at the support#.
I can't directly talk to a windows customer service rep. The ones you talk to at the support# said they only support LINUX. They are all very nice, but our e-mail was down and I couldn't get the 4 people I talked to on Monday & Tuesday to put in our e-mail record info. The 2nd person I talked to on Tuesday (5th person for the 2 days) at 11:00 finally put the e-mail info in our account notes so the team that supports us could see it. I think we finally got our e-mail back up at ~3pm on Tuesday. Our e-mail is critical so we were very displeased.
Our old provider is going to stop supporting ASP.Net websites & HostGator was the highest rated for ASP.Net.
