I was very impressed with the finished product! After giving my ideas of what I wanted to do, a site I was very happy with was developed. I only had to call twice for minor changes I wanted to make, and they were done quickly. A pleasant experience!

I have been a client for 20+ years. They treat me well, they treat me like crap. It depends on the rep I get. I am a big fan of Cherry. I am not sure how many you have but she is worthy of recognizing. As a company, you don't treat me like a 20+ year client. That is too bad.
For the most part its all been 5-stars but you do have some 1-star reps.. I just hang up and call back to get someone different.
That was 20+ years ago I don't remember.

Since they have upgraded servers my email forwards do not work and no one has ever been able to repair them due to change in software to a lesser mail app. I have been with Hostgator for over 30 years and always they have handled such things and made sure they got fixed. I have had to scramble to fix and patch and piece together ways for my clients to continue to receive their forwarded alias emails. All that and my rates have continued to go up almost every year lately. Yes disappointed.
No one could ever fix the issue and they passed me along to different people for days. Still no good results.
Years ago they were excellent with tech support and the cost was fair. Neither is the same anymore..

For several years, HostGator provided me with an excellent service to host my domain and everything that came with it. At some point last year, I began to be charged double the monthly subscription fee without warning. Moreover, this fee had increased by 10$. I never received a refund or any legitimate reasoning or apology for why this occurred. After seven years, I've chosen to leave and take my business elsewhere.

You took my sight down with no cause and affected my business. No apology or any compensation was given to me after multiple empty promises of communication from your "support team." I will personally make sure every business I deal with know not to use your services. I hope to find a class action lawsuit to join against you one day.

I have been with HostGator a very long time, like 15 years. I also use SiteGround, but HG is less expensive. I like it in every way but speed. It seems to be slow. I know one of the issues is a video on my home page, but if the service were faster, that wouldn't matter, eh? It's just a snippet.
I had an issue with my cPanel email accounts not showing. I'd just get a blank page. The rep helped me to solve that issue. He was extremely helpful, polite and easy to work with.
I was on 1&1 and hated it. I looked for a new host and HG seemed to be the best.

I didn't receive an invoice for the last payment deducted and only knew about it when the bank contacted me for approval. We were also surprised by the amount but got it sorted after a couple of "chats".

I dont like that you are not honoring old customers. We can buy new plan with special prices, but we can not renew already bought plans. We are forced to pay expensive prices for renewal, or to buy new plan for better prices, and then migrate our services from one plan to another, wich is not easy and require downtime for our services 2-3 days. I am surely hoing away from hostgator soon because of that!

Took such a long time to fix things - i had to spend more money to update my malware protection - you were not able to update from a back up - kept telling me that the malware had been removed and all was well but it wasn't - the malware protection wiped out the malware but also removed a lot of my website data. I had to get the person who set up the website in the first place to fix it in the end - at a further cost to me - so all round not happy with Hostgator support

I've had a few communication issues during my last few encounters to make some different changes to my previous setup, but everyone I spoke with & that helped me were very professional, knowledgeable & was willing to help me resolve my issues. I normally pass on leaving reviews good or bad but, I was happy to leave positive reviews after speaking with several staff members. Thanks & I look forward to using host gator for many years to come for my web building needs! Lately its hard to have any kind of human interactions with customer service if you have any kind of technical issues that may be unique & not in a forum question but its also a plus you guys have that access. If subscription expires there should be a 30 day grace period so that emails are not affected.
If the payment fails due to some issue in the card we need time to resolve it with the bank and if there's a public holidays, resolution takes longer time.

It's really hard to get any feedback or help from HostGator...the 24/7 chat support was very help a while back but now it doesn't even do anything when I click on the button I've sent emails and still no response
