My buddy showed me when I didn't know what I was doing and said it was the best deal. Support has been helpful as well.

My only concern is that website was put off often. It is getting fixed after contacting customer support but this time it took too long

Great. Everything went smooth for the most part. The phone agents answer pretty quickly however there seems to be a bit of a language barrier.

The ssl certificate expires every few months as a routine and give a lot of headache. Wish you could fix it one and for all.

I cannot log onto my own dashboard to update my website. Going to contact customer support. This problem has been intermittent for some time now.
* HostGator attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

Sometimes it loads very slowly and that is a bit of an issue for the seo. I still can not understand the reason behind it.

Quite confusing at times but I put that down to the fact that I am 77 and can no longer concentrate well on technical subjects.
A little confusing but OK
Years ago I tried many hosting companies. After many years Hostgator proved to have the best service and support. However some years ago I shut down all my web sites because Hostgator refused to help with what I saw as a simple problem. I mostly only use the domains for email now.

24/7/365 AMERICAN support. Nothing against other nationalities but I really don't want to speak to India or Mexico. I'm not tech educated and there's nothing more frustrating than trying to receive tech support from someone who speaks broken English, thick accents and doesn't understand why I'm so irritated because I keep having to say, "What? What? What? I can't understand you. Your support has ALWAYS been English speaking AMERICANS. If this ever changes due to a company buyout or shipping customer support to another country I have no problem transferring my domains and hosting to another company other than HostGator. I have been EXTREMELY happy with HostGator even though I have dormant domains with ongoing hosting that I haven't used in YEARS because I really appreciate the support I receive when I periodically fiddle with my domains. I have been helping a friend get their LLC company up and running and just recently helped them to purchase a domain and 3 year hosting package from HostGator because I value HostGator as an AMERICAN based company with EXCELLENT support. I didn't have any expectation of reward for myself for the referral, only that my friend receive the best domain and hosting experience as not everyone is tech savvy. I trust and hope that they experience the same excellent service I have over the years and we both look forward to a long partnership with HostGator to service our domain and hosting needs.
