Frustrating to try and resolve something on chat with agents who are not very helpful. Only 2 of the 4 who i dealt with were a bit helpful.
average - had several different people deal with and issue when I bought my business hosting package and discover that i was not provided with all the components that I paid for in the package. I had to spend extra money to call Canada and over a week trouble shooting issues related to my dedicated IP address for my domain. This was a weeks worth of work lost due to your system failures.
I'm new to website creation and was recommended by a developer from a youtube video i watched. He was an affiliate site user and he offered a discount to use host-gator. I did not have any specific hosting preference at the time.

The service advisor was very helpful and resolved my issue. He also answered my questions so hopefully the issue won't happen again.

There is an ongoing problem with my Reseller account. My account is periodically blacklisted and it is not anything at my end. It is all happening in the Host Gator server. I am unable to access my websites, my email accounts, and general cPanel or WHM access. My clients are frustrated when they cannot get their mail and their websites are unavailable. I call nearly every week, and often the support assistant will escalate my issue. At some point it is resolved and my service is restored. But it happens again in a week or two. No one tells me what the problem is about except to say there are too many login attempts so the black list protection goes into effect. I am not generating those login attempts and I have asked my clients not to keep trying to login. My ISP NEVER blacklists my account. I have checked the multiple attempts and they are to accounts I don't even host. I would love to stay with HostGator because when your service works it is the best. I have contacted Bluehost, but found out they are a sister company, and they don't have reseller accounts. I need a real person to address this issue. Everytime I call, it takes up to one hour of my time to go through all your protocols. PLEASE FIX MY ACCOUNT. My next acts will be to broadcast my displeasure of the lack of customer support to social media or anywhere I can dispute HostGator as a top provider.

I am still getting emails about my SSL certificate not being correct. Every time I call, I am told that it is OK and to just ignore the email.

My experience with HostGator has gone downhill over the last year and a half. Specifically when it comes to technical support and live chat. The wait time for chat is extremely long compare to when I first got my subscription. And once I finally get someone, I have to CONSTANTLY REPEAT the issue I am currently experiencing. The responses take a long time, and its very short unnecessary things. I prefer to get straight to the point. Sometimes chats will terminate while I am waiting on the agent to respond then have to start all the way from the beginning which is ridiculously irritating and time consuming. I am also HIGHLY DISSATISFIED with the hosting package capabilities. I was under the impression by the info giving to me by those in sales that this plan would be great considering it offered UNLIMITED WEBSITES, and would work well for the types of sites I would be building. However the 4 sites I have created are above the file limit for the plan. Nothing was properly explained, and now I will eventually have to switch to dedicated hosting. I don't appreciate games. I was told the number of files wouldn't be an issue if I were building small one page websites...I RUN A BUSINESS. I need business level power behind my websites and HostGator has really let me down.
