I booked the wrong room!
November 23, 2025

I made a reservation online at the Inn on Lake Superior. I hit confirm then noticed it was the wrong room. I called the the reservation number and Prince helped me book the room I wanted... the one with the view of Lake Superior. Thank you Prince.

We were on 95 headed north to go home from vacation. We went online to find a place to spend the night. This Days Inn had good reviews, was moderately priced and offered breakfast. We made a reservation over the phone and headed to the establishment. The girl who took care of us behind the counter was very pleasant, gave us a room, and we went upstairs to rest up before we hit the road the following morning. Unfortunately, when we got to the room, the phone didn't work, the TV didn't work, and the room was disgusting. It was not clean, the bathroom, shower and tub was not something you would want to even step into. Also, the bed was all lumpy and we knew that we could not stay there. Also, we found out they did not have breakfast as stated online. We went back downstairs to speak to the young lady, but she said we needed to call who we had made the reservation through. We made the call the gentleman that took care of us was extremely helpful and we were able to resolve the issue, get our credit and move onto another facility. I was very happy with Mr Jesus handling the cancellation and refund. Great customer service!

Superb Customer Service by Edgardo

And then I just received this link to do so... He is extremely polite and professional, not to mention prompt and proficient at his job and as much as I travel, people like Edgardo make all of the travel worthwhile...

Microtel reservation

Pleasant guy but lied to me. I asked if reservation had free cancelation until June 16 like it said online and he said yes. He offered me a refund offer thru June 19 if I paid an extra $194. I said free cancelation thru June 16 was good enough. The reservation that came via email says NO cancelation! What?!

Easiest Reservation Ever!

Shiera was so helpful booking a ground floor room at our preferred hotel on the day of surgery. We got early check-in and a room with a kitchenette for less than what we found online. The entire phone call took less than 10 minutes, exactly what we needed on a stressful day!

I don't appreciate being up sold

I called in to make a reservation for arrival date the next day due to a family emergency. I could have gone to …… I won't name site, that gives discounts for last minute reservations. But I chose to call Marriott out of loyalty.
The gal on the phone changed pricing so many times, talking quickly, it was very difficult to keep track. But given the stress I had been under from this emergency ( not your problem, I agree, I went with her numbers.)
At the end, again, the total changed. This time I did question if I heard correctly because I remembered a different number. She proceeded to explain there was a fee added to protect me in the event I needed to cancel and get a refund. AGAIN, I EXPLAINED I was ARRIVING THE NEXT DAY AND WOULD NOT BE CANCELLING. She took the fee off. I felt very manipulated.

I generally hate dealing with customer service! I was completely relieved when my reservation had not gone through and I received an email and he quickly solve the problem for me and even allowed me to deduct the $48 cancellation insurance! Not too many times I'm able to be pleased! Lol

Very helpful, very pleasant, Tina was so professional and without her help I would not have made the reservation. I had serveral experiences with others that hung up on me and made me feel like I didn't even want to come and vacation. But Tina made my experience wonderful. She went above and beyond all my reservations attempts. And Tina was so personable. I enjoyed speaking with her. She is a keeper and I hope I get her the next time I make a reservation!
