I phoned a British Columbia number to book a hotel in Nanaimo BC. The Buccaneer Inn website clearly shows Canadian dollars. I was told the total was $1,451.43. As soon as I got my confirmation I received a credit card charge for $2,051.16. I was not told I was paying in American dollars - and should not have been as I was booking a Canadia Hotel in Canada through a Canadianphone number. This has been a terrible experience for me. I am now trying to get the difference in money credited to my card. Very very poor service.

Nice staff. Representative was very accommodating setting up reservation on phone and on arrival. Pretty lobby. Breakfast was nice, but my husband wasn't able to come down and signs said I couldn't bring any food back up to room so he missed out. Got room above 1st floor as requested, however, room was only 'ok'. Had several pieces of older, mismatched furniture with major scratches and 'dings'. Not what I'd expect from a hotel like this. Bed was comfortable. Also, when we came back from going out in the evening and turned on light, I saw a bug that was either a beetle or roach by the microwave. When I turned back from looking for something to hit it with, it was gone so I couldn't identify it. So it was unsettling and I kept my suitcases closed. Not sure I would return.

I am not very knowledgeable of telephone n computer work. Had to add an additional day to my reservation and took Klynyl some considerable time to help me complete my order especially when adding my credit card info. Took several tries before I can finally do it

I called a Canadian hotel number…. It goes to the Philippines! Was charged US funds …… plus an insurance for cancellation…. Which I did not ask for/ nor was I made aware of it! Absolutely dirty way to do business!

I was booking a room. The man told me to hury up. When I was trying to drive down the road and get my credit card out. We booked the room, for him to then tell me after he said he had one, that it was already taken. That we would have to settle for two queens and no bath tub. I explained to him prior to all of this my wife suffers from leg cramps due to radiation kemo therapy and needed a king with a tub. I had to cancel the intire reservation and went to another hotel. He was a horrible reservation clerk.

Rep did not provide POSTED DISCOUNT! When we CAUGHT HIS ERROR, we had to spend hours calling, explaining and finally checking to see if the corrections appeared on our credit card. We received the 15% POSTED discount plus a credit for your reps mistake.

Wow, I spoke with Neal about booking a hotel room in Asheville, NC next May. The hotel did not have a room with a walk-in shower, which was a necessity for us. So, he checked with nearby hotels and found a room across the street! So thankful!

Answer: I attempted to email, submitted a support request, called numerous times, requested call backs (received 0), attempted to chat and was continuously ignored or "disconnected", never once reaching anyone that would or could help me. Customer Service at HotelPlanner is nonexistent.
Answer: HP's staff is full of deceitful and despicable liars. Do not use HP for planning any trips if you wish to have smooth, happy travels.
Answer: Just do not use! HP is awful and they will spoil your travel plans!
