Used it a few times when i was looking for some alternatives other than the more known ones, and this one worked perfectly. The thing that caught my eye the first time i ever logged on the site was their extensive language and currency preferencers, they are pretty easy to set and the website interface is a little bit old-school which like. You don't really want flashy animations and shiny illustrations, you just want to book your hotel, get your confirmation, check some info about the hotel and get on with it. This site is particularly cool for that, prices are competitive and the website often provides pretty good deals and discounts as well. So, simple and east, streamlined, supportive, competitive, it has all the good ingredients to be a really good alternative.
Never booked through hotelone.com these scoundrels will trick you into booking a non-refundable hotel room with zero warning. Once you book, they bill you the full amount automatically and then it's almost impossible to get your credit card company to even reverse the charge. I had a booking a month in advance on a trip I had to cancel a month in advance & the hotel refused a refund as well!
The date box is too wide and looks like you ought to put the whole date in and not just the 2 digit date.

Booking process was straight forward, but the fact that the booking was non refundable was never mentioned until I had already submitted payment. That isn't honest sales.
It was the website chosen by the hotel.
I paid 49.00 for the room and was charged over a hundred. Thought the price was for the hotel fee that they charge. Nope I was also charged at the hotel. Unreal. I will Not come to this sight again.
Website was user friendly. I entered what I was looking for, saw where the hotels are on the map and could easily click on the site to the hot to book.
I just don't understand why I have to pay before I stay in the hotel room. I understand half down but the full pay before staying there? Not sure I agree with that.
We love our room and the process was easy. We booked the room with now issues and the check in went very smooth. The staff were very welcoming and we were treated very well. The rooms are beautiful!
Wanted a nice room
I was able to find a hotel that suited my needs a a reasonable price very easily. The form to book the hotel was straight forward. I received confirmation immediately.
Ideal location and single beds for a group of ladies
Quick & easy. One difficulty was to view the various types of room available. I had to call the 800 number to find the button I had missed. Overall, the website was clear.

Wonderful experience. The room was excellent, beautiful decor and roomy. The security of the room was excellent. I enjoyed my stay and having the hotel beside for meals was great as well.

Hotelsone charges your credit card immediately even if your reservation isn't for several months. If you cancel, they state on their website that a refund may take 30 days.
If you book directly with the hotel, the hotel will not charge your credit card until the reservation date. If you cancel within the terms of the hotel, there is no refund because you were never charged.

He reservation experience was OK. I would have preferred to talk to the site but no one answered. I would have preferred to speak to the hotel proper but that was not possible.

Booking great, easy. Appreciated the email asking if reservation was sent, as it had gone to spam and, despite not getting in 1st place, worked out fine.
Went to book directly with the hotel, ended up with a redirect, booked the reservation, $164 room, total with tax $192. Today received (first of its kind in all my travel arrangements through 20+years) an email asking if we received our confirmation email(3options): yes, no, we cancelled it. So i called the hotel and they said they received my reservation BOOKED THROUGH EXPEDIA at a rate of $134. I DID NOT use expedia. Furthermore, if i had made the reservation over the phone with the hotel i would have SAVED an additional $8 and not had all this confusion. Gave 2stars instead of 1 because at least i have a hotel booked & confirmed after thinking i was booking directly with the hotel.

This company has no idea what customer service is. FRANK helped me out first leading me to believe I was giving my payment information for a deposit and then charged me the whole amount in US currency. I cancelled my reservation only to get half of my Money back. I just got off the phone with a rude little girl that had no idea what she was doing or talking about named DACKESAE I asked her repeatedly if there was a supervisor because she wasn't listening and trying to understand my frustration. WHAT kind of service is that!? And why is there no supervisor? Very shady reservation agency. DONT EVEN TRY TO USE THIS COMPANY... YOU WILL END UP REGRETING IT. Thank you for the lesson.
I wish I could give them a 0. Please be aware when booking any travel through them, I believed I was booking a hotel through the actual hotel website, but it was actually them. I booked it and needed to cancel immediately, and called to cancel and ask for a refund within 10 mins of booking. I was unable to ammend the booking or get a refund, I could only cancel the hotel and be charged the full amount anyway. The customer service line told me the "property" opted not to give a refund even though it was well before 72 hours of my stay and the hotel itself stated that they can offer refunds within 24 hours of the stay. I was kept on hold for an hour and then read the non-refundable policy.
BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BOOK THROUGH ANY WEBSITE AFFILIATED WITH THIS COMPANY.
I will tell everyone I know to be careful of booking through them and warn them away from this company.
This was my first time booking with HotelsOne. It was a simple and straightforward experience and I would have no hesitation in using HotelsOne in the future.
I wasn't aware I wasn't booking directly with the hotel until after my credit card was confirmed. There was nothing about HotelsOne until then. A bit sneaky, really.
Their booking fees are way to high and I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, but got scammed with this booking site. I would NEVER USE THEM. I overpaid almost $600 for their BS RECOVERY & BOOKING CHARGE! This was a business trip and even the hotel said I got ripped off.

I called to make a reservation at the Alt Hotel at the Halifax airport. I called a direct line to the hotel but somehow my call was re-routed to Hotelsone.com. I had no idea that I was not speaking to a clerk at the hotel. The operator who answered told me that there were no vacancies at the hotel but that she could arrange another hotel near the airport. I later found out that there were, indeed, vacancies at the hotel that I had originally called. I tried to cancel the reservation that she made for me at the holiday inn but I was told by the desk clerk at that Holiday Inn that they could not cancel it and that I would have to go through hotelsone.com to cancel the reservation. When I tried to do that, I could only reach an automated system that informed me that if I cancelled the reservation, I would lose the full amount of the booking. How in the world my call was rerouted from the actual hotel to this company remains a mystery to me. But I would say that this company is pulling some major scam and is involved in some kind of fraud. The people at Alt Hotel told me that they never use third party companies for bookings. I am going to be forced to stay at the Holiday Inn for the sake of avoiding getting charged for a room I didn't use.
