Used it a few times when i was looking for some alternatives other than the more known ones, and this one worked perfectly. The thing that caught my eye the first time i ever logged on the site was their extensive language and currency preferencers, they are pretty easy to set and the website interface is a little bit old-school which like. You don't really want flashy animations and shiny illustrations, you just want to book your hotel, get your confirmation, check some info about the hotel and get on with it. This site is particularly cool for that, prices are competitive and the website often provides pretty good deals and discounts as well. So, simple and east, streamlined, supportive, competitive, it has all the good ingredients to be a really good alternative.
Never booked through hotelone.com these scoundrels will trick you into booking a non-refundable hotel room with zero warning. Once you book, they bill you the full amount automatically and then it's almost impossible to get your credit card company to even reverse the charge. I had a booking a month in advance on a trip I had to cancel a month in advance & the hotel refused a refund as well!
At 6:30 PM office was closed, and I had to drive to a different location to check in, and then was sent BACK to the original location. Took me 45 minutes. Unacceptable. Room was very clean, though basic. Won't stay this way again.
Hotel I wanted wasn’t available. Choices were offered.

Refreshingly straightforward, thank you! Sometimes those who design websites (maybe computer geeks?) make things unnecessarily complicated for ordinary people and put me off doing things online. Happily, not so in this case! It was helpful too for getting an idea of the facilities which would be available.
Quick and easy however I did try to cancel using booking.com but, an error popped up. Stay here is great…front personnel helped me…I was nervous after going through a terrible storm through I-35. My stomach was in knots.

So far I have only booked my accommodation. The site was easy to negotiate. Plenty of accommodation in my price range was available and booking went through straight away.
No payment needed is also a bonus.
First I have to say the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. We chose the hotel based on several criteria with an in house restaurant near the top of the list. It was required because my husband is physically handicapped. However, the restaurant was closed. Finding a wheelchair accessible restaurant for every meal turned into a nightmare, so we will not choose the same hotel - or town - again.
It was an accident. I thought I was booking through the hotel itself as I booked from the hotel website. But the booking itself went well with no hiccups.
Good website, informative, fast, thank you. I had previously googled (elsewhere) to see if the hotel I selected had air conditioning - yes, was the response - but this was not confirmed either by HotelsOne or the hotel itself. HotelsOne have, however, been very attentive in confirming my reservation, explaining the caveats, and even sending me directions by road.
It was super easy to book a room at our desired hotel. It would have been nice to see if there were other rooms available for our dates (a King bed rather than 2 queen beds) but we are good with what we have reserved.
Another family member booked this hotel so we booked it also
Honestly,. I had no idea what HotelsOne was and never heard of it before. I was booking a Best Western hotel in Ontario and somehow ended up on the HotelsOne site. I found the best price for the time I wanted and booked it immediately. I got a confirmation shortly afterwards and have not had an issue at all with this site. I will be using it again to book my hotels and thanks folks,... job well done.
Really,... I did not choose them. By chance I was looking for the hotels own site and ended up on HotelsOne. I will be looking for this site again when I book my next hotel for sure,. No issues at all with this site,. Thanks so much.
I, as many others, did not pay adequate attention and thought I was on the actual hotel site and not a third party.
I had a sleepless night pondering if my reservation was actually booked, but it turned out it was. I did not save any money using it, and completely restricted my options because the whole amount is paid up front and not refunded. The purpose of my post is to put others at ease who have used it inadvertently, and fear fraud. It is not fraud. However, if you use it you will have no flexibility in changing anything. Well, you can change, but don't expect reimbursement.
I booked with this site and had to add another day when doing so they billed me double had to call multiple times to get money back they stated they see where they messed up but yet as of now still no refund and keep going around circles to get action needed to get my money back
So Hotelsone pays to have their site come up at the top of any hotel search and includes the name of the Hotel that you are searching in the search results. When you click the link it really looks like you are on the hotels website. I booked my stay and put in my information and hit checkout, that's when I realized that I had not used my hotels direct site. Because I am in Canada and I will billed in USD I ended up paying more for my stay. There is no use in calling the contact number as you will receive no refund or cancellation. This is nothing more than a scam and I'm not sure why the world needs these booking sites anyway! I see that countless others have had similar experiences and its a real shame that these type of things are able to continually mislead and rip people off without any recourse for the consumer.
Sat on hold forever and no one ever picked up.
I did not knowingly choose them!
Stayed@ the Lexington Inn & Suites in Effingham, IL in August 2014. Good location, room was a little tight for 3 people. Good storage, a small refrigerator would have been nice. The tub/shower was extremely slippery-easily solved w/a bathmat-had to purchase that myself. The breakfast was good, had all the basics.
Easy access for booking! Thanks! With agents, I'm usually concerned about getting confirmation from the hotel itself. But perhaps that is not the protocol. I shall call the hotel itself to confirm my reservation.
Quick and easy I enjoyed looking at the pictures that were online to give me a better idea of which hotel I would like to stay in. Also all the information surrounding point of interest location and activities.
Reservationist put me on hold several times but could not provide me with the reduced rate negotiated by wedding party. I finally gave up and reserved on-line. Requested refund of difference from customer service. To date, crickets…
Reservation desk could not give me the reduced rate for the wedding party I will be attending. I paid full price and requested a refund of the difference. No word from customer service regarding this matter.
Made reservation before Covid 19 was identified. Subsequent "no travel" restrictions were implemented, in addition no services were open in the area of my intended travel. Contacted "customer service" {truly a misnomer) to cancel or at least move reservation once travel restrictions were lifted. No response, tried again with same no response in any form though credit card was processed on their end.
Email today offering some sort of "deal" for people who had to cancel but you cannot access the "deal" via their web site. I'm sure my $500 has been well spent in India. What a pathetic organization, ought to be indicted.
I booked the wrong dates, and cancelled within five minutes of seeing the confirmation email. However, their cancel button on the website does not work - I learned the hard way. Upon calling customer service, they acknowledged a "system error" and said you actually have to call them to cancel. Because I did not do this within the stated cancellation time (because I didn't realize the cancellation did not go through on their website), they refused to refund the penalty, which was >$300. The hotel offered to refund this but HotelsOne would not. Also, I thought I booked this through expedia, not HotelsOne. Not sure what happened there, even my credit card says expedia but the reservation went through HotelsOne. This is a total scam.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you CALL to cancel or modify reservations
This company which I believe is a subsidiary of Expedia, started by presenting their search result on Google made them look like they were the actual hotel being searched for, Their site continued this deception by boldly and in large font showing the hotel name. In much smaller text and in a box the HotelsOne name appeared, but it looked much more like an ad than a site identification. They then listed a rate as "Best Available"which was higher than the rate available on the actual hotel website. Finally, they marked up their actual rate by nearly 70%. Likely making more than the hotel in this transaction. Responses from "CustomerCare" were evasive and not helpful. Avoid this company if you see it creeping into your booking.
Original ad featured low price and no cancellation fee. Confirmation added extra fees to make final cost not competitive and warned of possible cancellation penalties. Also, not clear we were dealing with 3rd party.
Won’t again
I was surprised to see that the full amount of our upcoming stay was deducted from our credit card on the day we made the reservation. Reading the fine print, I now see that we have until several days before our stay to recover the fees without penalty. On sites that we have used in the past such as Bookings.com, they are very clear about when you have to pre-pay and very rarely do other booking sites charge any credit card amounts prior to your stay.
I guess simply by selecting the hotel -- in this case The Cliff House Inn -- we inadvertently "chose" HotelsOne.
I booked through HotelsOne and needed to change my booking. I didn't see how so I cancelled and redid my reservation. Then saw no credit from the cancellation and went to look up contact info for HO when I saw all the scam warnings and negative reviews. I panicked. I sent a message immediately and directly to the resort who confirmed my reservation... so far so good. And then I messaged HO. I haven't received a response yet, but already had my money back- less than 24 hours later, faster than their website advises. I'm very happy with the experience so far. If anything changes I'll be sure to share.
It came up with hotel search.
30 days previous to the 1st week of July 2017 is when I take my vacation. I am a Hilton H honors member and I went to the website to make reservations. Without me knowing hotels one snatched me into their website. I began to make reservations and after the reservations was complete I print my receipt. They have their computer set up where it automatically changes your date so they can charge you more. If you try to cancel there is no refund at all-and they keep your money. With all this being said I do not recommend anybody to do business with this company. They are bogus and a total scam. Please proceed with caution.
I want to cancel this reservation and rebook with the hotel. I did not realize you were a third party. I also saw the phrase free cancellation which is patently untrue. Further, the hotel says they do not require a cancellation fee unless one cancels 2 or fewer days before reserved stay.
