I had one of the most frustrating shopping experiences with House of Indya. I placed an order for a lehenga on the 15th, only to be told five days later that the item was out of stock. During that time, I received multiple emails and messages confirming that the order was "being prepared" – which was completely misleading. Instead of taking responsibility, their representative (Prashant) simply told me to pick a replacement item like nothing happened. I was running out of time so, I selected a replacement (Order #******* – Navy Blue Sequin Zari Velvet Lehenga) and was assured it would be dispatched by the 24th with all agreed customizations (size XL, cancan, tassels, waistbelt, bindi set). Today is the 25th, and not only has the item still not been dispatched, but the team is now claiming that my add-ons are "invalid" and only what was in the original form applies – despite me providing screenshots of Prashant confirming my requests. After that, the communication went silent. No explanation, no accountability, no resolution. This company has shown a lack of transparency, poor customer service, and false reassurances. If you're ordering for an important event, be prepared for delays, excuses, and broken promises. I would strongly caution anyone against purchasing from House of Indya if you expect reliability or professionalism.
