We purchased furniture from the Melbourne, Florida store in October. It was delivered 11/11/2020. The sofa was damaged. Long story short, without all the details, Hudson's is making it right for us. I would absolutely recommend them.
I paid $1400 for a desk. I bought the warranty. Hudson's rep told me it covers everything. What a lie. They sent a wise guy repair main to spray paint my desk. All wood furniture is like this he said. He also told me that file cabinets tip over 'its common sense'. Really. Buyer beware! My 12 yr old Staples desk was better quality and survived a 1500 mile move. Buy elsewhere. This place doesn't care about service or you.
We purchased 2flex Steel Leather recliner Couches and 1 Matching Leather recliner chair For over $6000, and purchased the extended warranty with Furniture Care. Where recliners fit together, there is a 2" Gap where it should fit tight. Warranty company did nothing to fix the 3 pieces and just took pictures and said it was wear so no coverage. Went to Hudson Furniture to see new couch to see if it fit tight and it was. They just said they could do nothing and just deal with Warranty Company. Poor service by everyone. Warranty is paper only. Would not recommend Hudson or their Warranty..
My husband & I would like to single out one of Hudson's Furniture's Certified Interior Designers her name is Darlene Allen. A very hard worker she help us every set of the way. We had a problem with a Battery Power Pack - Darlene has track the battery & talked to the warehouse so we would receive the battery pack in a reasonable time frame. Thank you Darlene for all your hard work, Cathy & Vin
I went in to a store for the Fourth of July sale. The flyer I got in the mail said
1) 50% off All furniture 2) an extra 5% off 3) no sales tax 4) 36 mo financing
So 1)and 2) the bedroom furniture I wanted wasn't included Ok it was Tommy Bahama that wasn't totally unexpected they said they have their own sales 3) wasn't included either which doesn't make sense Hudson is absorbing that not the actual furniture company so no law against that 4) they could give me interest free financing for 18 months not 36
So basically they could have not mailed me the flyer I didn't get any of the "preferred" customer perks they were advertising They did give me free delivery so I took it hook line and sinker because I'm impatient and want to finish my new bedroom Now to see how long it takes for delivery I may have it paid in full before it arrives
Robo calls on Sunday mornings, following customers, unfair delivery charges, and not paying commissions to sales people who elect to leave are just a few bad habits you can expect!
Maria was a wonderful salesperson! Her personality was friendly and gracious and answered all my questions with a smile.
Hudson's Furniture is very fortunate to have her on their staff.
So pleased with the results, keep it up Hudson Furniture Stores and keep making people smile. I visited the store in Melbourne and was very impressed!
Basically the same as everyone else, heres what you can expect:
1. To pay for furniture that is either available or said to be on a short backorder. They may try to 'set expectations' and give a 90 day lead time
2. Wait patiently for that day to come, and go, with no fanfare. No emails, no calls, no robocalls, no texts.
3. You may get lucky and get an email a few weeks later with a new date that was also pulled from thin air.
4. Call in and complain. Be told other people are waiting too. Congrats - you overpromised and underdelivered - why would that absolve you of this?
5. Get automated email with a pseudo-apology that says they wont give delivery times until they can be sure
6. Get a new delivery date. Is my furniture finally coming?
7. Return to step 2.
This company is a joke. Their prices are set absurdly high so their sales bring them to a reasonable level. The quality is good, but that doesn't really matter if you can't get your hands on the product. Pretty sure this company's MO fits the bill for unfair and deceptive business practices. They sell-sell-sell with no sense of if/when they can deliver.
There is no other name in my phone book for furniture sales, I call them up straight away when I know I need something that is well designed and well built
We just bought over 9k worth of brand new furniture (not clearance or floor models). After the delivery people set up our matrasses we asked about the couch they wanted me to sign off on it even though they hadn't delivered it. (They acted like the didn't know anything about it) after a few minutes they reluctantly brought it in and set it up then tried to leave in a hurry. The couch fabric was/is clearly damaged in multiple locations. When we asked what happened they first acted confused then they called their boss and after 20 minutes or so said that we would be getting a new one delivered then left before taking the damaged one away. We called the store and was told that we never should have accepted the damaged couch that we now have to wait on the manufacture to come out to determine if they could fix it or replace it. When we asked for a refund we were told they don't give one unless the product is defective which it is. The website said they have a 7 day return policy but that is only for online orders apparently. They told us since we didn't get the added warranty that it is "as-is" and not their fault. Which is complete BS since their drivers delivered it knowing that it was damaged and now we have to wait weeks on end for the manufacture to come out. The store or the company doesn't stand behind their products. It was not a custom order it was an in-stock order.
The worse customer service and broken promises. Buyer beware! We returned a couch and loveseat because it was literally falling apart after 10 months. We wanted 100% leather and the salesman lied to us as we found out when the repairman came out, it's actually leather and cheap vinyl. A credit was provided, and we selected a 100% leather couch and loveseat. While we were at the store, we were considering a Nectar mattress which came with a free adjustable bedframe. The store manager said he would give us a $200.00 gift card if we purchased the mattress. What a Big Mistake! Over three weeks later no gift card. The doorframe the house to the garage was severely damaged, which I noticed after the delivery guy's lift. I contacted customer care, the store manager, and the regional manager several times, and I was told the $200.00 gift card was in the mail and the warehouse manager will be contacting me about the damage to the doorframe. It's been over three weeks and I continued to be lied to. I've given up dealing with them. My next course of action is small claims court.
It's such a shame they provide terrible customer service, and they lie to their customer's. BUYER BEWARE!
We shopped in Ocala, our sales person, Darlene Allen made our experience so relaxing & we just love all our new furniture. We would highly recommend Hudson's!
If you are thinking of going anywhere else then at least stop by to check out their range, it has won me over time and time again
Hudson Furniture Stores comes highly recommended from me and I picked up their number via another recommendation. Top services at their store.
A big thank you to this amazing store and I hope that they can continue to benefit the community with their services
I never settle for less when it comes to quality furniture and these guys truly know quality. Thank you!
The staff were so accommodating and they weren't afraid to just let me browse when that is all I wanted to do. Thanks Hudson for your great work
This chair is so beautiful, I dont think I could have found a better piece anywhere else. Feeling very proud of my purchase and of my local store.
No wonder these guys have so many customers, the choice is out of this world and the service is of another level. Great stuff, thank you Hudson
I bought the bedroom outfit and loved the style and quality so much that I purchased the same set for my dining room. My home looks amazing!
You're all the greatest over at Hudson so I hope you read this review and get my message, thank you all!
I could never have wished for a better shopping experience when shopping with Hudson, they were so polite and friendly I never wanted to leave.
The team just keep smiling, they never let me down and they deliver every time with greater and greater results. Thanks Hudson Furniture Stores
Keep up the hard work and I will keep bringing back the sales. Loving the attitude they have here as well as their stellar selection of furniture
I went to the store located at 1609 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon FL. When I first came to the store I was excited! I saw the perfect cocktail table for my new home. In December I ordered the Marsden Cocktail Table and later in January returned to order two matching end tables. Spending almost $4,000 on the three pieces. There were five separate attempts to deliver this merchandise to my home. And on two occasions the delivery company came to my home to pick up the cocktail table, which I DID NOT HAVE. On each of the five delivery attempts, there was something wrong with the order, i. E. the cocktail table was not the finish, the legs and bottom portion of the table was delivered but not the top, the wood pieces for the end tables were not on the delivery truck. FIVE TIMES this happened! Ive physically gone to the store five times as well, trying to work this out. I receive apologies and a guarantee from sales representatives, General Manager Keith Hill and Sales Manager Jordan Perry that they would resolve this issue. All which proved meaningless! Not to mention the fact that I had contact the sales representatives and managers numerous times to get updates on the status of my order. Jordan even said, Im all over this! I get things done! Yeah Right! Why am I chasing them for merchandise I paid for? Finally, I HAD ENOUGH! I could not take it anymore! On April 7,2017 I cancelled my order and was promised I would receive my down payment refund. I was also told that if I contacted Synchrony Bank they would take the merchandise off the loan. Here it is April 19,2017 and I have NOT received my refund! When I contacted Synchrony Bank they told me the Hudsons had to call the bank to get the merchandise removed from the loan. I knew from my personal experience from this staff, IT WOULD BE A COLD DAY IN HELL before they did what they were supposed to do. So, I dont have the merchandise or the money I paid to Hudsons. I would be ashamed, as an owner, to have my name on this store. Its obvious they only care about the sale and dont follow-up/resolve issues that customers encounter.
I really want to give my business to family owned companies and not keep buying from Amazon. But there is no way I'll buy from Hudson's again. I ordered a Heron Lamp back in March and it just arrived today November 10th. Of course they expect you to pay everything up front so I paid a total of around $400 and didn't receive my item for nearly 8 months. I understand the supply chain issues going on and so my real issue isn't how long it took so much as the lack of communication and their attitude. I would get generic emails from them stating that the delay was beyond their control but beyond that there wasn't much communication. I was under the impression that the lamp would be delivered to me but when I finally figured out I was supposed to pick it up from their central Florida location they told me it would be an extra $80 to have it delivered to me so I paid it. Then when I stated I could not be there to sign for it when it was to arrive but to leave it on my porch they told me no. That really got me mad bc they have their own delivery truck and ppl so it wasn't like they delivered through another company that they have no control over. I was pretty mad at that point and I told them "Fine. I'll take off work to be there as long as my dealings with Hudson's is over at this point." It was then I got a very snotty email from one of their reps that stated that delivering to me was a "courtesy" that they made an "exception" for. I was really mad then as I paid $80 for them to deliver it and I had been more than patient with them only to be told they were doing me a courtesy. I can deal with having to be patient but the attitude I received was too much. I then called the store to see if I could ask someone else to have the delivery guys to leave it on my porch and someone took my number and basically said "someone will get back to you" but, of course, never did. I complained to the supposed owner about the entire issue but so far I have not received anything back and I know my message was received. It seems like customers who go into the store have a great experience but if you have to deal with online ordering it's a nightmare.
I should add this, too. I wanted to ensure that I had reason to give them a bad review (as I know it's hard to decipher someone's tone over email) so I had several other ppl read my exchanges with them and every single one of them described the attitude of the emails as "b****y." So it wasn't just my interpretation of the exchange.
All that being said the product is as it was described and I am very happy with it. The customer service was horrible and 8 months is just too long a waiting period without doing something for the customer in return. Even a simple "thank you for your patience" would have sufficed.
Tip for consumers:
Go shop in the store. Not online!
