IKEA is my favorite furniture store for its affordable prices, modern designs, and convenient shopping experience. The showroom layouts are inspiring and make it easy to visualize how pieces will look in my home. I appreciate the flat-pack packaging, which makes transportation and assembly a breeze. The variety of styles and options available ensure that there's something for every taste and budget
Nightmare with their IKEA for business sector. Sent wrong products 4x in a row for my office cabinets. Their financial team never verified the return process and posted to a canceled account without authorization, then never followed up with me directly with mail, etc. after multiple attempts to post the return. I'm an extremely patient person with customer service having experience on an IT helpdesk phone system, but quickly found their customer service is challenging to work with. I got transferred three times only to wait on hold for 2 hours. Reached the original person who transferred me improperly and was patient only asking for a manager, but was rejected. Finally forced my hand and manager is an intermediary at least, but no communication with the source has caused more confusion on the issue.
I am completely frustrated by the service provided, mainly by the online service and delivery. Telephone service is extremely time-consuming, as the waiting time is immense. Besides the delivery being expensive, the furniture I bought arrived damaged and the exchange is being massive, since the delivery says that the box was delivered to an address that I have no idea where it is from. It looks like a store for the elderly, where they still don't know how to use keyboarding in a decent way, and offers a completely frustrating service to customers.
We did not receive our delivery, when promised, after taking the day off work and waiting around all day for it. When I called, I was told that the delivery company never received the merchandise form Ikea. After many calls, on my end with no follow up on Ikea's end, we found out that the deliver company did in fact have the merchandise the entire time. Even thought it was their error, they rescheduled a new delivery 3 more days out and then didn't show up for a 2nd time. When I called, they had no answers for me as to why both deliveries didn't show up, I will never order from Ikea again. This is a terrible company and they have a terrible delivery company.
I was in the store yesterday to buy a dresser, saw one for a 199.99, well that was the price that was showing, but when I got to the register, then I found out that that was not the price of it. It seems that the white dresser was 199.99 and not the one I had planned to buy. I feel that if they are different prices, then all the prices need to be showing and not when you get to the register, I brought the dresser because I needed it for my daughter's room, from now on, if I need some furniture, I'll just go somewhere that's not worried about showing the true price, even if it is more. Because of this little mishap, I will be shopping somewhere else and I feel that we should of gotten the dresser for that price, until they fix this mess, I feel that Ikea is misleading it's customers and this is false advertisement and they should have to pay everyone back that was misled.
IKEA quality has improved since they first started selling here on Long Island. Over the years I've purchased quite a few high quality items; bathroom sink and vanity, custom closets for our bedroom, TV stand with storage, and many smaller items that I use constantly. I love visiting the store although I don't like to travel throughout the entire store when I'm there to purchase just one item. Even their cafe is a nice place to visit. In addition, many bloggers are using IKEA furniture and redesigning/renewing, etc. VERY interesting phenomena.
I love this store. They have the best products in services. I hate that isn't not in Alabama so I have to shop from online or go to Georgia to shop. I am very intrigue about the type of products they have.
Ikea gives assembly service, I brought furniture and they assigned me assembly service over phone. The assembly service team came and said u want Sofa covers to be changed, give me extra money because we are here for assembly not not dissamble the sofa and remove old covets.
Tip for consumers:
Very bad customer service, they provide no compensation to customers

None, I brought 2000 dollar furniture sitting in my home. I brought furniture because there is assembly service and they faxed it.
The company IKEA hired to deliver my shelves nalogistics decided they couldn't find my address which every other shipping company has found easily the last 15 years and then they said they couldn't contact the driver which probably never even tried to deliver our shelves. Now they say they might deliver them in a week but I wonder how that can happen since the nalogistics company can't find our address. The absolute worst day waiting for them to deliver our shelves
Do NOT buy anything online for delivery. Waited in all morning, no driver arrived but we received a text stating our order had been delivered! Phoned IKEA apparently Driver couldn't find address! IKEA has delivered to this address on numerous occasions so it sits on their sat nav system- just a lazy driver who couldn't be bothered on a Sunday to deliver. Heartbroken 4 years old no new bed etc., had arranged for her old cot bed to picked up this morning so no bed for 4 yrs old to sleep in tonight. IKEA could only deliver in 5 days time or maybe at a push tomorrow but IKEA couldn't definitely confirm that; I would have to wait a couple of hours for the next phone call... We WILL NOT ever purchase from IKEA again. Off to buy a bed from John Lewis their customer service can never be faulted. They care about their customers.
Ordered a wardrobe for $700, it was missing two key parts so we couldn't put it together, on top of that build quality was terrible. We then spent 3 weeks organizing a return, two no show pick ups, 2 hours on hold every time we tried to call and their on-line chat doesn't even work, no reply to emails ofcoure. Credit / refund still not issued. Will never buy anything from Ikea again, so disappointing and terrible experience and we will be taking them to NCAT.

I ordered a shelf unit and 5 inserts delivered. The inserts were delivered, but the shelf unit was not. I called Ikea to be told that the item was backordered. No one called or emailed to tell me this. The rep told me they don't notify customers anymore. They don't know when it will be in stock. Obviously the inserts are useless without the shelf. It will take 2 weeks to get my money back. BEWARE - when you order online, it does not come from your local store, even though the order process makes it seem like it does. Just because it is available in your store does not mean it is available in the distribution center. What a waste of time.
Ordered online they took money out of account next day, weeks went by no call no delivery. I cancelled the order it has been 3 weeks still no refund has been issued of my $1500. 00, went into the store they didn't care.
I used to love IKEA, but honestly now I wont have to think even one about going back. I tried uploading a pic of my cancelled order # ************** but they wouldn't let me upload a pdf it had to be jpeg, png, gif (FIGURES)
I will pursue this till I get my money.
I will NEVER purchase another thing from ikea! Im still waiting on a delivery from my purchase on may 22. Was supposed to get delivered july4, then changed to july 27. Still no contact and no delivery. Cant contact customer service due to high number of calls, cant email cuz thats only for cancellations. This is ridiculous! Even messenger says they were last on 11 days ago. What a joke! Where is my order ikea? I DO NOT want to cancel my order! I want my items!
I love Ikea products! What I don't like... going to the store! It gives me heart palpitations. I walked in there knowing exactly what I wanted and was herded through the maze like cattle being led to pasture. I was stuck in the middle of this massive line of people and couldn't see any way out. I tend to buy what I can from Ikea online now and avoid the store as much as I can!
Worst experience ever, They give you a delivery date and it just passes. Then they blame it on shipper. Turns out it is sitting at IKEA.
Try to call them and they just put you on hold, Can't cancel order if you could get a hold of them because they have a 2 Hour cnx policy after order submittal. Just don't ever bother if you want your stuff.
I bought almost 3,000 $ furniture from Ikea,Khobar Saudia
Promissed delivery between Dec.6-12.2022
Until today waiting, calling and writing emails daily. All i hear hopefully you will get it in a few days, but what date? Cant tell?
They talk alot about their customer services but when you try them, you will see how bad they really are. I even emailed Ikea international office by email, and no response!
They failed badly.

Placed an order on March 19th. Today is April12th and still no sign of our outdoor table set. We've tried to contact IKEA twice and waited over 20 min each time with no answer to where the product may be. We then asked for a refund and didn't get a response. Well, that's because we were hung up on... twice... Going to dispute the purchase with my credit card company and see if they can maybe get through. Unfortunatly I still want the set for our houseboat since it's a perfect piece for limited space but I just don't know what else to do now. I feel like Seinfeld... "No Delivery for You"
Hi is there any way you can rush another monagram to us. We completely screwed up and didn't realize the brides initial goes first. We actually need MKJ by Wednday June 9th. We love it but really messed up.
Thank you,
I'm always shocked at the terrible level of quality and durability of Ikea products. Every single one of their fabric products I've ever purchased, carpets, rugs, towels, Sheetz basically anyting made of any synthetic material is chock-full of chemicals. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Ikea, their return policy is horrendous. They seem almost intentionally drastically understaffed, there's always a huge wait, they even have a number system if that tells you anything about how long the wait is. I've only tried to return a single item in my entire consumer live at Ikea, a $299 carpet that had a tiny hardened spot probably one centimeter big that they claimed was a paint stain, the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, it was the exact same color as the carpet fabric was probably there from the time that I purchased it. They're like any other horrible big corporation that finds any excuse and take your money but not give it back.
Affordable prices and good return policy. Online shopping is not good and shipping/delivery is expensive. Best to buy things in the store. Be careful about the quality of some of the furniture and the assembly requirements. Great kitchen items like appliances, cabinets, countertops, and dinnerware/flatware. Good lighting and kitchen tools/gadgets.
I had enlisted the help of IKEA to deliver some much needed furniture to my new apartment, as I have recently moved alone to a new continent to start a new job. I should have thought better of it. I was told that my delivery would happen on the 9th of August, and now I am being told that it will happen on the 22nd! This is a disaster for me, as this was such a big and necessary order. I am told that this is because IKEA does not effectively communicate with the delivery companies it works with, and gives them demands that they cannot meet without informing the customer of any of this. I was only told in response that the terms and conditions states this is a possibility, but I do not find this good enough as this would be easily solved by assuring that they can meet the delivery date before confirming it. Take it from me - do not trust IKEA home delivery if you can help it!
I contacted Ikea and paid for a $99 delivery but without knowing a third party XPO was involved. They didn't show up but they reported the customer wasn't there. I reschedule the sooner they could, 3 days later but they only brought the small boxes not the bed frame I ordered. They said I could returned no accept the partial delivery but they didn't mention that means an automatic cancelation with Ikea. Ikea customer service was "nice" but useless, they didn't offer any option.
27 items drlivery. Ikea has sent one thin boy for delivery. Despite informing the Turbhe Mumbai store that lift will not be available for goods as there is no service lift. The residence is on 2nd floor. I had t pay fine to society even for small items as lift is new.
Go to the local IKEA for the meatballs, ligonberry jam, and the cheap, flimsy furniture. But never shop online! There is no customer service whatsoever. The website wouldn't accept my oft used login info, and when I submitted for an email to reset my password, it took 9 hours, 2:00pm-11:24 pm, for the response. Followed immediately by an email locking my account. With no remedy indicated. They never answer the phone, when they do they can't help, and don't know who to send me to. Spent 2 hours this morning trying to get through, when I did the nice lady said to send an email, she couldn't help me. Eat the meatballs, run from the website!
Nothing to say except the words of gratitude. I bought some pieces of furniture for my bedroom. They are really nice and their quality is fascinating. Thank you for providing such goods!
My daughter made the huge mistake of buying a Malm 6 Drawer "Particle Board" Dresser from IKEA.
Big Mistake!
It's amazing how this company has the nerve to charge over $400 for a dresser that's made of 150% sawdust & glue that is pressed together.
The broken piece that is pictured, has absolutely nothing to do with being careless. All my daughter did was simply close the drawer.
When you assemble junk like this, make sure that your are satisfied where you put it because if you dare move it in the future, it will easily come apart and snap on you. Your beverage rings will also be well noticed too….so lay a towel down 1st. (thats what happens to sawdust.)
I even went to IKEA's website to get replacement parts. Their website is useless. You cannot order replacement particle boards.
When the day finally comes to launch this junk out on your lawn, be sure to cover it up. If it gets wet, it will swell and become 50 times heavier and your garbage men will be mad at you.
What happened to the good old days when furniture was made of this thing called "real wood"?
If you are looking for a furniture sawdust & glue mill….IKEA is the perfect place to go!
If you want to see what real wood furniture once looked like….visit a history museum.
