Resume Review Service

I purchased the Resume Review service in June. I attached the original resume and wanted to enhance it to attract the systems recruiters use. The representative rewrote the resume and removed so many important highlights of my experiences. I asked for it to be edited and gave some feedback as to how I want it to be done and had to write portion of the resume. She still didn't complete it to my satisfactory. After posting the resume Indeed wrote, I got no feedback from employers that I applied for. A matter of fact, less reviews than my original resume. I contacted support to assist in either redoing my resume or refunding my money. The representative rewrote my resume again without speaking to me or asking what is lacking. When the resume was sent over, I replied with experiences I need to highlight in the resume and the response I received was " sorry, you exceed your 3 revision and will have to do it yourself. Have a great day!"
Not only do I find this unprofessional, but at $155.00, I expect professional service. It's disappointing that a company of this level does not care about honoring their own mission statement.

Title: Frustrating Experience with Indeed

I'm a legitimate business owner seeking to hire employees, and I recently had a frustrating experience with Indeed. After creating an account and providing all the necessary documentation to prove the legitimacy of my business, my account was flagged and subsequently disabled.

What's most frustrating about this situation is that, as a business owner, I understand the importance of platforms like Indeed in connecting job seekers with potential employers. However, when my account was restricted, it left me feeling like the system was working against me.

I reached out to Indeed's customer support, and while I appreciate their responsiveness, the issue remains unresolved. It's disheartening that despite providing clear evidence of my business's legitimacy, I still face barriers to using their service.

I believe that platforms like Indeed should prioritize enabling accounts for businesses once their legitimacy has been proven. It's discouraging to think that a platform we rely on for hiring might not value its users, particularly those of us who aren't paying for premium services.

In conclusion, my experience with Indeed has been less than satisfactory, and I hope that they can improve their customer service and account verification processes to better serve legitimate business owners like me.

Candidates were not qualified. Those that were qualified were largely unresponsive to interview requests yet. I paid for a sponsored post so i was charged for every resume that I did not reject within the 72 hour review period. Most of the unqualified candidates were able to be flushed out prior to the review period. However, we moved forward with and were charged for 12 candidates. 10 of the 12 candidates were either unresponsive after some contact, and some were completely unresponsive from the outset. Save your money and don't post here.

Sent everything in to verify our business. Finally got that approved. Then posted our job in a few locations. Sponsered them on and off for 3 months. Added a new location in michigan, and next thing I now they have flagged all of our job postings then disabled my account. So we have paid over 1k to indeed and now dont even have access to our applicants. They couldnt give me a reason why it was disabled. We will be getting lawyers involved. So if anyone else has had similar experiences please reach out. We can make this a class action lawsuit.

I recently got disabled from using Indeed for a new account I opened, sent all appeals and original documents they asked for, yet their trust team kept saying they couldn't verify my document. I'm so angry and frustrated with the back & forth and I hope this issue is resolved because I need to hire candidates ASAP! Indeed please do the needful!

Fake jobs

On indeed I found fake jabs and fake pictures. I would nor recommend looking for a job on indeed. Its a scam

I have had an employer account for last 4 years, and finally tried to place an ad for hiring. Everything was entered in, set up the ad and entered credit card. Received email to tell me that my account was on hold pending verification and I needed to provide one form of documentation. I submitted Certificate of Insurance, which I was told could have been forged and not accepted. Send in another form of documentation. I sent in CRA gst statement, was told it didn't contain address. (It did). Followed up with Home Depot Account statement and WCB, all of which are current, contain the date, address and company name. Just received another email telling me I need more specialized help, and a link to the Help section questions. This has been 10 wasted days of trying to appease the Indeed gods, who obviously do not review the documents they request. My biggest concern now, is the sheer amount of information this "company" now has of mine. As a side note- Kijiji ended up bringing in over 50 resumes for far less.

It used to be better

This has always been one of my top search engines for new jobs, it pools together all the roles you need.

But overtime I've noticed this company has fallen down a bit. They spam your emails, texts, and even WhatsApp and it's quite difficult to turn off.

There's some bugs and issues with the app too and sometimes it makes me feel that there are better alternatives.

You're still good, Indeed, but I think you need to pull it together before you slip even further.

Employers reviewing job applicants now lot more time consuming because as of August, 2023, Indeed no longer shows employer pre-screen question answers on applicant's 1st page. Now required to click a link to see applicant's answers.

As you can read from their reply - its always the same reply - Why do they not ask for documents before allowing you to sign up? Because they want you to pay to advertise, it is not a free service! It is Indeed a giant scam - ask their directors to show you their drivers licenses & documents first before providing yours.

If you read the reviews & replies from Indeed you can see what type of company this is. They make every excuse in the book. It seems they wish to cater only to fortune 500 companies & the little business man is not welcome on their site. They have the vaguest rules, in fact they can & will shut your account down if you do not apply to applicants within a day or so. Accounts disabled for no reason. You wont hear back from support. BEYOND DISGUSTING.
You post a job, one day it works, the next day it doesnt. Bad support, bad ethics and quite questionable. They want to verify all businesses posting on their site yet the company themselves act in a very shady manner.

I was getting back to candidates when all of a sudden they blocked the account. They say 48 hr review, which is basically you go into a black-hole, you are not getting your account back at that stage.

Unless you are prepared to spend thousands with them per month, do not use them!
It is not a free job board
It is a money making scam.

Reading Indeeds responses is painful. They make excuses, they make up the rules as they go. Mark my words, in time, they will lose their market share & they just need to read the reviews on this site to be reminded why it went downhill.

I am not waiting for them to review my account, I am shutting it down. PLEASE do not have anything to do with this scammy, slimy, shady, company that uses every trick in the book to throw at you in order for you to get your money. You must give them your bank account details, you must give them your LTD company number - who is this company to demand this?

They think they own the job market.

Pissed! I have provided indeed with all documentation to prove I'm a legitimate small business. I was deemed suitable for indeed and 2 months later they shut my account down.

I have spoken to indeed for 3 weeks or more and finally got the account back open for 1 day and they shut it down again!

SERIOUSLY INDEED….I have explained what I do repeatedly and provided my documentation. Are you targeting small businesses across the board or is just me. Maybe a class action suit needs to be brought against you.

I need you to open my account back up my clients depend on me.

I am recruiting for a school support position for my autistic son. I had signed up for what I thought was a sponsored job and set the monthly limit for $150.

I was billed twice that amount for a charge, I still don't understand because the company's whole site is misleading and is designed to have you pay for services you don't know you've subscribed to.

After contacting support, I was reimbursed half of the amount. I then tried posting an "unsponsored" job as I no longer wanted to give my money to the company, but still needed to find a support person for my son.

Unbeknown to me, I was signed up for a "pay per candidate" option where I was supposed to reject candidates within 72 hours or be charged. I was then charged $600!

I contacted them again and they said because they had reimbursed me for the transaction prior, there was nothing they can do and laid out the rules for the program I did not willfully sign up for.

Same game larger price tag.

This company is NOT transparent. They mislead people into incurring charges they do not consciously sign up for.

In my situation, the $600 they deducted should go towards my son's care, not a greedy corporation. Shameful!

In addition, you have the ability to pause or close a job posting at any time. PPA pricing also offers the ability to review candidates. Reject a candidate within 72 hours and we won't charge you for it.

No warning

After many years of using indeed they have charged me for applications that I wasn't able to review! I wasn't aware I'd be charged for the applications and did not sponsor the jobs. This is ridiculous! Didn't even look at the applicants and was charged for them. I wasn't given any help when I talked to the customer service representative. This service is not recommended.

After years of tracking and chasing Indeed regarding my employer account and then again this year for months; I submitted an appeal to reconsider the disabling of my employer account with Indeed just for them to say:

"Thank you for contacting Indeed. We have reviewed your account and have found it to be unsuitable for Indeed.

For your reference, we have linked Indeed's Terms of Service and Job Posting Guidelines.

Please note that your account currently is not accruing costs and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This is a ridiculous response and I'm not going to push the issue or look for jobs on this site any further. It's a crappy platform to say the least with awful employer/employee matching. Every employer I was hired from this platform resulted in employment discrimination lawsuits. Time for a change and I'm ok with that. Beware, don't waste your time or money using this platform.

What you should know is I would have to be a Barron not to seer you guys obviously do not verify the jobs being real that are posted. If I see another take job on indeed I will keep escalating. I cannot beLIEVE how pathetic you guys are that we cannot see the fake jobs being posted that are not even active on their side AND Not real. Can anybody in our society admit their wrong besides me? We have our job postings on Indeed.ca. All of a sudden during hiring the account got disabled. There is no warning, no email, no one called and the night before it was working and the next early morning it was disabled. Immediately appealed and called Indeed. The answer is it is a standard review process. I suggested that if you want to flag an account due to Indeed itself did not collect enough information for whatever its own purposes, please email and called us.

Before that happened, a message was shown on the account that the account did not meet the standard. We called Indeed a few times to clarify as on the screens, every single field was entered and there was no more information on all the boxes that can be provided. The customer representative said that it was a massive email sent out to customers, didn't matter you account comply or not. She further indicated there would be another such message on our account, just ignored it.

It has been 5 days already since we found our Indeed account got disabled. Called a few times, no one can give us an answer so that actions can be taken to re-activate our account. The first time, please wait for 48 hours, the second time wait for 24 hours. All had passed but still no response.

If we did not know what Indeed wants, we can only sit and wait for Indeed.ca to give our verdict. This is not even close to a friendly service. Not to mention that it is an online recruiting site that time is critical. Indeed shut us down, we have sponsored jobs, not only did it stop its revenue, it also kill our business by disconnecting our recruitment business.

Indeed.ca has so many customer representatives to answer the calls, why it doesn't hire more people to review the accounts and help its customers to do business. Even better is to modify its computer program giving a more pin-pointed areas that Indeed.ca wanted the information. We as a customer of Indeed.ca wants a win-win situation, not a lose-lose situation!

After years using indeed and spending many thousands of pounds with them our account was disable without any notice. As a small recruitment agency this is incredibly hurtful as it means we can't supply our clients on the timelines agreed and without previous notice for a contingency plan. What is utmost disgusting is that when asking for a reason after several emails and phone calls, all we have been told is that the decision is final (We tried appealing) and that it's because we have been reported for charging employees which is FALSE. We have asked for proof of this and been denied it, this should be unlawful and it is defamation for anyone to accuse a company of something so serious and not provide proof, Indeed should be requesting proof from any people that reports an account before taking any action as you don't know if they are angry candidates taking it out on the recruiters!
