We are quite dissatisfied with Indeed as an employer platform. I actually found MY current job on Indeed... and now, as the business has grown, we look to expand. When I placed the 1st job ad (a free one just to get us started) they find my "account" to be unsuitable? And disabled it. They sent a form email saying it was a final decision, no details, reasons or explanation. How can they expect to run their business that way? If we made a mistake, we are happy to understand and fix it. But we are a small business, just trying to expand and grow. I had great expectations that Indeed could help us - I guess I was wrong.

Hi Rob, we would love to provide some clarification here. All accounts and jobs go through our standard reviewing process before they can become fully active on our site. The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not be able to show these openings in our search results and the account will remain in its current status.

In addition, Indeed does not allow non-job postings. This includes, but is not limited to, training and education opportunities, franchising opportunities, multi-level marketing opportunities, jobseeker employment solicitation, expired jobs, and jobs which do not represent a specific employer vacancy.

As the account has been disabled by Indeed you do not have the option to post a new position. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. This used to be a great company but had become a money grab. I spent some much time putting together the job post based on THEIR guidelines. After reviewing some of the candidates, I received this message with no further explanation!

Your ability to post jobs on Indeed.com has been disabled.
At this time your employer account has been disabled and you will not be able to post any additional jobs to Indeed.com. If you believe this is a mistake and would like to appeal this decision, please contact us.

Hi Jamie, it appears your account is going through our standard review process. It is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our job posting guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're now experiencing.

In this case, we see that an appeal was submitted on the account and our moderation team has already emailed you back yesterday November 2,2022, requesting additional information. You will need to follow up with them directly via that email chain in order to move forward with the review process. Another inconsiderate site that draws people into wasting time creating accounts/posts, then deletes the post AND the account with 0 warning and no specific reasons. They allowed 1 appeal, which denied me. My asking what the problem/solution was resulted in vague "no further info will be given" type of lines that seem to be mostly automated.

UPDATE: They emailed here about their policy & after i gave into their picky document demands, they still deny my posts AND gimme the same vague/robotic lines. They probably only acted helpful by emailing here cause my bad review here is being seen by many. In my regular email, 1 of their useless replies said to call, & they were closed.

Trustpilot users say Indeed bans all non-paying users so they call in and are pitched a paying version. So indeed can indeed enjoy the bad reviews, & karma, they earn from this. This kinda stuff helped greatly hurt sites like ebay.

Wow Indeed... I'm hiring an additional admin person here in the office... I set the budget, hoping I'd get some qualified applicants... couldn't be further from it... after 24 hours, the only barely qualified applicant doesn't even have the qualifications I wrote down... they gave me a nonsense response such as views, clicks, etc... all I have to say is wow! And this cost me $99.52... these job boards are becoming such a scam!
Now, because of this, they're probably going to suspend my account just like they've become know for doing... we'll see...

Almost useless
September 16, 2020

Was looking for a retail job. I got so many job postings that I'm not interested in nor qualified for. Nursing jobs is one example. Medical reception jobs another one with minimum of 1 year experience required. Nowhere on my resume was this listed. Very bad also about using one's zip code and distances. Also, two few job notifications have postings of salaries, where the location is, etc. Good luck if you use them.

Tried many other places like LinkedIn, Glassdoor + even posting on Craigslist. Get the most candidates and best qualified candidates. It work well. Only glitch is you have to always communicate via Indeed masked email account even at the very final stages of process, these emails sometimes go to spam, which is frustrating.

The new pay-per-applicant is complete crap. If you so much as click on the person (to see if they are a decent applicant) you're charged a fee (close to $100) per person. So, you pay for unscreened and completely aloof applicants. You also might pay for someone who has zero background for your position but applied anyway. One applicant I got was my top pick until I uncovered she was a FELON with an extensive background of stealing from her employers. One guy showed up for his first two interviews, then ghosted us. Another woman did the initial interview, was excited to come back, and cost us time and MORE money by ghosting us again. Indeed is a great place to waste money and lose faith in the human race. I don't care where you find employees, DON'T do it here.

Please keep in mind that Indeed is not able to control candidate behavior and we cannot control candidates not showing up to interviews. We would be happy to pass along your feedback about that! Also, with our new pricing cost per application model, users do have more control over your quality and spending because Indeed lets users review applications before they're charged, giving users the final say on which applications they pay for. Users can also reject candidates within 48 hours of their application to avoid charges. After this period, will users be charged for the candidate, if not rejected. To confirm, employers do not get charged by clicking on candidates who applied. If you wish to sponsor the post using a daily/ monthly budget, you can select the "classic model" or "Switch to old model" option that is displayed when going through the job posting funnel. Indeed have suddenly disabled my account without warning when there are 2 live jobs running. Used them before and no reason for this action. Totally unprofessional and unreasonable but they are very happy to take my money even if the service isn't being delivered!

Impossible to post a job as they just disable your account. Nothing bad with our offer, fully professionally written, great rate of pay and a fantastic opportunity for someone but it seems indeed only allow agencies, Amazon or fake job postings on their account.

Unbelievable
October 12, 2016

For some unknown reason our Indeed account was disabled. When I inquired via their web site, I received an email response which stated that my account was suspended and that further appeals for this suspension will not be considered or responded too. Signed by someone named "Indeed Compliance." I have no idea why and they never contacted us for additional information. This is pretty poor customer service. We have a few jobs opening up in the coming months. Too bad for Indeed. Good for Zip Recruiter.
