I see so many reviews here, and elsewhere, about how this site doesn't give them enough samples, or doesn't give them to them often enough. Jeez people, they're FREE samples, be grateful you get any and don't sound spoiled! I've been with this site for about 2 years and have received 3 sample boxes. They had a fun mix of products, and typically are geared toward me based on survey answers (one was a school related one, and I am a college junior, so that was fun!). Just check regularly for any new Virtual VoxBox (no physical sample, but often coupons and fun activities), and keep up with the survey questions. Be patient, and you'll get one eventually, and when you do I guarantee it'll be great! Usually 5-8 products, some VERY expensive normally like a Covergirl foundation I once received, and a good amount of time to sample and review before the event expires.
Influenster is a pack of liars. They tell you you're getting this great product, only to have it not show up. They're scumbags, their customer service absolutely sucks and they've left me embarrassed and upset. Avoid at all costs, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
WAS NOT ABLE TO SIGN TO https://www.influenster.com/ to leave a review. Any of my e-mail address return as user already exist. When tried to recover passwords, - no e-mail received. Wandering who is writing those very nice reviews? Product manufacturers themselves, or Internet bots, or people paid to write nice reviews?
Wanted to leave a review for a product and this came up... seemed ok. But then wanted me to use Facebook which fortunately had a notice saying "your picture and everything will be given to influenster"... no thanks dudes!
To those who are saying that Influenster is justified for taking so long to provide free samples to the users of their site, you guys do realize that there are other websites that provide several free samples for consumers to try with much, much less effort on the consumer's part, right? Ive spent a year on their site providing info and writing reviews and I have not received anything! I will never go back on their site ever again. So, unless you have a huge following on social media, don't expect to get anything from them. The only people who I have seen getting a sample box are vloggers on Youtube.
I have been on this site for a two years never got anything in the mail no box I don't see why I have to work for free. No one else would. The makeup you have to buy yourself and if you hate it you are stuck with it wasting money you don't have to begin with. Then you have to answer people's questions like their going to get a different answer than what was posted. It's bull$#*! and no one gets anything but their account hacked and used.

Different reviewers make the exact same comments ("Best investment for my health so far") and the exact same typos ("all Tue time"). These reviews come from a review farm.
They have you fill out a bunch of reviews and take surveys they can get paid for via product brands. In the end, they say the more you do the better of a chance you have at getting a box but in reality they're making money off of you before even sending you anything.
I've joined a lot of trial websites, but this is one is kind of the worst. I was promised a holiday vox box that I earned by writing eBay guides, and I have yet to be invited to one. I was looking forward to the reward I was promised, but it's been months and I've yet to receive it, or any word of it.
I love this app but i wish I could click on the button that says write a review but everytime I click on it nothing happens. One reason why i love this app is because it gives us free samples just by entering a contest and following the rules
I have been with influenster for 4 years.weather you do your dailies or your a perfect match for the next test product does not matter.i have received 81 voxbox pre surveys since nov 2021 yet have not been picked for 1.but you see others getting 2 or 3 a month.it is all in the allgorithm they say.i say the allgarithm is prejudice.it should be based on weather you fit the product for testing.not were you live.how old you are or how much income you bring in.we are all here to give our honest opinions and influence and promote for future sales on the product.i think everyone should have a fair chance.but they don't
I had noticed that the stores that sold Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Bars no longer stocked them. I happened to find some Nutty Buddy's in a Dollar General Store. I ate one or two. Taking it out of the wrapper it fell apart and didn't come out whole as it normally does. Noticed that it was soft when I ate it. The Nutty Buddy Bar upset my stomach and caused Gas! I had lots of farts. When I Farted i had real loose Poo in my pants. It was terrible! Every time I would Pee I had to wipe my Butt from the times I would Fart! I called Nutty Butty Office of ConSumer affairs. They contradicted everything I said. Said the bars had melted after I bought them. I said no I bought them that way. Well I couldn't wait to eat one when I got home! I love Nutty Buddy Bars and have eaten many of them. Buying them every 2 weeks when I would buy groceries. I told comsumer affairs that The Customer was Always RIGHT! They were NO help at all that's why I'm up here making a complaint.

This app is primarily for reviewing products you own or have used. You can view other's reviews and use that information to determine what products might work for you. Everyone complains that they sont get free stuff. Yes, we all want those expensive brands for free. But theres more that goes into it. You have to be active, link your social media, etc. I'm 44. I've gotten a box. I've never been hacked. If you dont do your profile and stay active, you limit your chances of getting a #voxbox. And no, the big influencers dont get first dibs and no, you can leave any review you want. I've left one star reviews for products I have purchased myself and used. You dont have to buy anything, they do have campaigns where you can buy something and submit your receipt for cashback for an honest review. But those are not common and they are limited to very specific items.
I have never heard of this site/app until 15 minutes ago. I wanted to read some real reviews for products after seeing the reviews on Amazon and other sites seemed to have fake/all positive reviews, and Influenster prompted me to register/log in. I tried to register with an email address I never use or give to anyone. The site said I was already registered. So I tried with another old email address I haven't used in 11 years. Site says that address is already registered. I tried with my personal every day go-to email address. Already registered. I searched each email account - no record of ever having/receiving anything from this site/domain despite the fact that I've never deleted an email from my inbox on any of the first 2 accounts. So I went back to the site and tried a password reset for each of my email accounts. Never got a password reset email in any of my accounts. Something is seriously wrong with this site - either they're registering fake accounts with email addresses they got from a junk mail list so they'll look legit, or the site/account creation/login/etc are all broken.
Tip for consumers:
avoid at all costs - it's a scam.

So far i have received 2 influenster vox boxes to try i have reviewed one but i have not reviewd the second box yet...but i can definetly say that influenster is amazing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQsne2By10Y
I wasted SOOO much time "earning badges" and writing reviews for influenster and received a few emails saying I was a match for a voxbox and I just needed to fill out a survey to receive a box full of samples however I "failed" those surgery EVERY TIME! They always ask questions like "have you heard of these products below" and when I answer honestly they fail me on the survey. Personally I feel they waste your time and promise you these big fancy boxes and give them to half their participants but not others. Id rather use sites like "bzzagent" and freesamples.org because they garauntee you free things...
Their new site and app are awesome! It used to be difficult to update and add reviews but now it's a snap-plus you can try just about anything free to review.
I have been VERY active on Influenster for almost 6 months, done hundreds of snaps, dozens of reviews, created lists, finished almost every campaign and several other badges, and I have received ZERO products to review. I have to assume that is because of one of the following: I am not a member of a "desirable" age bracket (I'm 46, and I've heard other older women ALSO don't get boxes), I am not attractive enough in my photos, I am CRUELTY-FREE, or that I don't have a smartphone and can't use their precious app. I wrote them about the latter, and they assured me that had nothing to do with it...
So months later, why have I still received NO products to review? I am done with Influenster, and I encourage other older or cruelty-free women to consider the same.
THis app/ website is a load of crap you will never receive $#*! from them. I was only able to submit my 4-5 star reviews. They just make you buy anything and everything with fals reviews
I was very excited upon first enrolling in Influenster. I am very active in social media, with a lot of followers who care about my opinion. I have a professional background in communications and marketing. I though it would be a fun way to try some new products and share my opinions with all of my followers. I was mistaken. The formula that Influenster uses to determine who receives products to test is quite puzzling. It doesn't appear to be based upon anything that would actually help them market the products to the correct target audiences. I found that Influenster is actually populated by legions of reviewers who are much like the people who raid Sephora dumpsters looking for free makeup. Barely literate, bored moms who are grateful for any free scrap thrown their way. Meanwhile, the company is taking in millions on the backs of the free labor of these women. The last straw for me was completing a qualification survey that took me ten minutes, and ended up yielding me TWO 6.7 ounce juice boxes. Not worth the time or effort. Not to mention all of the "Virtual Boxes" that require you to actually go out and BUY the products they want you to review. I am sure there are better companies for those truly interested in product testing and sharing reviews. Influenster is disappointing, however.
Yes there collecting our data and know exactly what we do online. But that is where we signed up for. People think it's a Santa app and just apply and get lots of free products but they haven't read how it works. So they get mad because there not getting anything.
They don't read the terms and conditions. If you read it you know what you signed up for it's not a bad app.
Only they are growing to fast and making to many changes that's why it's a mess. I am disabled for a few years now and it is better then doing nothing. That's the reason i am a member of more similar websites and apps. But we don't have many in the Netherlands. To bad have of the people do it for free products and don't even know what a review is and what it can do to a product or company.
That when you give a product a one only because you don't like the color or the product or just write bad things because you had a bad experience then please stop and do something else. The brand pays a lot of money on this, and you could see the product works perfectly and I would buy it again but then in an other color. This is a little bit to bright for me but that is my personal opinion maybe you love this color then this is perfect for you.

People read the terms and conditions before you sign up for something. Nothing is free.

Influenster is amazing, it's NOT as hard as many people make it out to be. Patience and participation is key! You won't get high end products for free without putting in a little bit of work.(Completely understandable). In my opinion, it is a lot of fun to be an influenster. You get to try amazing products for free, read reviews, write reviews, and communicate with others. It's a great way to find out about new products and find out if they are for you or not. It gives you something to work towards and it really is a pleasant experience. Most people assume you have to have a high impact score or you won't get a box, that is absolutely incorrect. I am proof of that. I do NOT have a huge following at all and I just received a really awesome box and I'm waiting on the next one to arrive! My score is only 859(medium) and it has gone up since I received the box. I believe it was 780 when I was selected to receive the box. It's mostly demographics, completing snaps, writing reviews, and interacting with others on the app that matters. Of course, I'm sure a higher score helps, but it's not a requirement. You do need to complete a few easy tasks to earn a badge after you receive each box, but it's super simple. It is a lot of fun to be a part of influenster and it's very exciting to receive boxes and to learn about awesome products! Try it out for yourself and see! If you do it right, you'll really enjoy it.
I've been on Influenster for about 2 years. When I first started, I honestly didn't expect to receive the amount of Voxbox's I have received. (I've received about 5-6). The boxes are great because they (usually) come with full-size products. The thing about influenster though is that you HAVE to review these products, do activities, share photos on Instagram/other social media (which I don't have a problem doing). They give you a great amount of time to do these activities, and you don't *have* to complete all of them, but it's nice to get the badge for it so you can qualify for more voxbox's in the future. You also have to have a good social impact, which depends on the amount of followers/friends you have on your social media accounts (they add up the total amount). If you're looking for a place to sit and get free products for nothing, this is not the site for you. Influenster is about influencing your followers and friends to use products sent to you by participating brands.
The only thing that grinds my gears about this site/app is that there are so many people who copy and paste reviews from other reviewers for products, and who rate and write the same generic review on every item ever which is really unfair to those of us who spend time and effort writing great reviews to be qualified.
Is it because of my age that I don't ever win. I might be 52 years young but I could pass for 30. Just asking to give me a chance. Thanks Sherrie Mullaney
I love Influenster! I've heard from friends who signed up and did surveys, filled out the voxbox forms and never received a product. I have no idea why that is and can only speak from my experience. I signed up one day bored and recently gotten into makeup. I left a bunch of reviews on makeup products I recently bought and within a few weeks got asked to fill out a survey for my first voxbox. Please note I had no followers or much engagement being on there and the social media linked is just average, I don't have a huge following. I got a full size Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation (which I already owned but love so had a backup). The checklist for reviewing products is easy, leave a review on the app and places like Sephora which I do anyway. After that I'd get a box of products every 2-3 months. Products have varied. I've gotten drugstore makeup/hair products, skincare, ranch dressing, full size designer perfume and most recently a $60 ABH face pallette that just launched. I love Influenster and I've been doing it for a couple years now. I definitely don't sit on there and review like I used to, honestly I don't leave reviews at all unless it's part of a product I received but I still get good items on a regular basis.
After I first joined Influenster, I was always getting Voxboxes. It has been about two years since I received a Voxbox from them. Every minute they send an email to answer a survey to possibly get another Voxbox or participate in a cashback campaign. I have been accepted for alot of cashback campaigns lately, but I haven't received a Voxbox with a free item to review in a long time. In addition to that, the campaigns can only be done on the app. You can not go on the actual Influenster website to do the campaign. There was an update that was done on the app last year and it made the app so much worse. I am seriously thinking about uninstalling the app. I prefer Shespeaks to do reviews now.
