“I don't know why people are saying it's bad...”

Lydia S.
1/19/21

Most of the people saying it's 1-star are just people who hate math and reading, which is understandable... but would you rather do IXLMath where it does NO explaining, NO help, just "you got this wrong and I'm not gonna tell you why."? I thought not. You can get coins from lessons to play games, and it gives you a break in the middle of tests. They explain your incorrect answers, and it adapts to your level of reading/math. It's not really as bad as people are saying it is!

I don't know why this thing exists. I am so over this piece of crap! First of all, you have to take a stupid diagnostic, with dumb, long questions. Then the "lessons" have these characters that are supposed to be really 'relatable' and 'rad'. And the darn lesson itself takes 45 freaking minutes to complete. This app is terrible. And then the so-called 'learning games' have no point whatsoever and are really stupid. You can tell by just looking at it that it was cheaply made. Oh, and another thing: it treats us like we're two years old. "Wow, those chickens must be hungry!" Why do they make do this stupid app? Even the name is stupid. "I-ready". Everyone hates it in our class. I swear, I am going mentally insane because of it. It's basically a torture device but in a app. And the teachers just sit there.

I've never learned something from this. And its very boring. When i get a answer right it tells me im wrong? And its just horrible honestly. "what does nice mean?" and the answers are "the act of being nice", "being nice", "doing nice things"...

This app sucks and is a waste of brain cells, I can literally eat a rotten cow than use this garbage. Its really horrible to be "good at this" because you get the easiest questions and some how be wrong. This is something that the government would use as a torture device for 17-5 year old kids. I hate this app and I hope it burns in hell with me when I die.

I have used I-Ready for about 3 years. Not as long as some of you guys. But I HATE it. It takes me 2 hours to complete and when I fail It takes me 4 hours. It is a waste of time and makes kids want to kill themselves. The government could use the people's voices to torture people. If they did it to me I would last about 5 minutes max. I-Ready has caused the death of so many innocent youth. They where fine before starting. After they wanted to kill themselves. I do NOT recommend this to anyone!

Tip for consumers:
Don't use it. Trust me on this one.

There evil people and want to suck your energy, every time I get a lesson wrong they make me do the whole thing again! They could've let me do the quiz but no! They don't care! They want their money! And don't get me started on those animated characters, they're loud, annoying, and VERY creepy, don't you think they should stop I-ready because this app is messed up.

So, it's too easy, now it gives me hard questions? What is this? Why can't I just type my age? It's terrible, I always avoid this at all times. But my teacher keeps saying, "Do it." It's not even a bad app, it's TERROR!

I-Ready is awful! The lessons are full of rambling nonsense that many times either make no sense or is hard for the child to follow. Then there's the issue of the multiple choice answers you choose from. There are typically several answers that are worded nearly the same or multiple answers that will in fact answer the question asked. That does nothing but aggravate and completely frustrate kids! The lessons are nothing but long and ongoing pure crap that doesn't help or teach kids yet makes them hate doing it!

The actual workbooks and in-person curriculum create a deep hatred for math. Not only is there no joy, but it is really bad curriculum. I have seen students' scores decline since this curriculum was adopted in our district. It is a very disorganized, confusing, developmentally inappropriate curriculum.

First I'm going to talk about the reading section. Its so boring they treat you like 2 year old's and every lesson is the same. Or it haves the same vibe. So it just gets boring overtime. Now for math it's less boring because it's actually helpful MOST of the time. Its pretty helpful and fun. BUT sometimes it really messes me up. Would not recommend.

First of all, it treats you like a 4 year old. Second of all, it tries to be hip just like the GrubHub Ad "delivery dance" The animation is terrible it looks like a 4 year old drew it. They don't even move their mouths correctly. The person who made I-Ready was probably adopted then quickly disowned.

This program moves at a snail's pace. I have a 6 year old in kindergarten who appears to be in pain when doing these incredibly slow math lessons. They are far too easy for him. Then I have a 7 year old in second grade who I can't keep seated because these little aliens are moving and speaking ten times slower than he reads. The lessons are 30-40 minutes long, and I only know this because I sat there and did 2nd grade "math" for over an hour! And what did that "math" consists of?! 30% of the time was actually moving blocks into different columns, 60% was waiting for these alien characters to finish talking, and 10% was the ungodly long pauses between screens! This is ridiculous!

I do not even know why this exists. What kind of stupid thing is this...
It sucks and nobody even likes it. If you get 3 little questions wrong in a boring lesson, they mark it as fail. Just shut up iReady, you talk too much. A few years ago when I used it, I told my teacher that it is absolute garbage. Every single student in the school just complains about this boring website. The people who created must be disowned by their parents...

I-ready is a complete waste of time and it teaches you nothing. I-ready lessons can take so long and can be so exhausting staring at the computer for that long. It doesn't even teach you what your actually going to learn in class. Also teachers think that it's a good program but its not I absolutely hate it. It makes me tired and not motivated to do anything else. I wish that this program gets taken down because it's the worst thing I had to do. I think that instead of wasting your time on this program actually go educate yourself on what your actually going to learn because I-ready teaches you nothing so dear people who made I-ready delete your program!

First of all, let's talk about the lessons. Each lesson is drawn out with a ridiculous amount of questions added to a problem as you answer the questions. After you complete the problem your progress barely even goes up at all, making each lesson over an hour long in some cases. Plus, if you fail a quiz at the end of the lesson you have to restart the whole lesson. The only good thing about this horrendous bore-fest of hell is there is a decent soundtrack sometimes.

I'm in 9th grade. I've been using this god damn app for 7 years now and it's complete $#*!. It makes you feel like you're stupid, I have a 157 point iq, I've won many awards for education contests blah blah blah. Why have you been asking me the same exact questions for 4 years. Every time I go to the principal of my school with a group of 3-4 dozen other kids to ask them to get rid of it, they just shrug it off. They don't give two $#*!s about what children think about this app. It's terrible. And I'm not saying it's terrible cause I'm lazy. I love to learn, and I'm a hard worker. I don't want this gone cause then I have less work I want it gone cause it's a waste of your time, it's stupidly boring, rattles on about the same $#*!, and doesn't help anyone. Obviously if this many children are thinking this way there MIGHT be a problem I don't know. Every single person I ask hates this app. Take a $#*!ing hint.

Iready should be banned from the WORLD! If you are reading this bad review and you like Iready. Please reconsider thinking about this flea in poop.

During the time I have used i-Ready, I found it boring, awful, and unbearable. Our public school systems already feed us Marxist propaganda, and now we have this? In a total of 50 times, I have exploited i-Ready's insecure systems.

I-Ready almost made my kid commit suicide. It's amazing how teachers and schools still hold on to this crap I swear If I don't see I-Ready banned I will go to I-Ready headquarters and strangle everyone there. Edit: So recently my son went to the hospital due to i-ready why? Well I-ready kept changing his answers to the wrong one, his teacher gave him suspension just for this piece of garbage for my kid's sake I went over to i-ready headquarters and made a complaint. They then said that they are not responsible for my son. He went to the hospital because he banged his head on his computer repeatedly almost killing him. I swear I need this app to get deleted NOW.

"I-Ready causes stress for students and does not teach anything to students, is a big waste of time and has no benefits. It can cause hours of time to get past the tutorial of 1 lesson. Not to mention, usually teachers assign at least 5 lessons of I-Ready a week" google says, while they are right! No body has ever learned a thing in class! Please ban iready

I'd like to say that iReady is helpful, but that's only because I have a high score. As a student, I think if schools wanted to kids to be happy, mentally fine, and smart, they would get rid of this bore-fest. They've got god-awful jokes, unfair questions, and characters that look 40 but act 3. So, reader, if you want people to hate going to school, if you want people to lose their sanity, if you want us to go onto sitejabber.com and review something we hate with a burning passion, then this is the site for you.
Much (hate) love,

One reason is because A website for students that teachers think will help their grade, but in reality it makes them want to kill themselves. A website that causes suicidal thoughts, depression, ptsd, anxiety, and adhd. Another reason is because, I-Ready causes stress for students and does not teach anything to students, is a big waste of time and has no benefits. It can cause hours of time to get past the tutorial of 1 lesson... With all this time students will not have time for extracurricular activities like sports.
