It's Just Lunch

The experience has been wonderful and exciting. My attempts at using online services have not been successful in finding the potential partners I am looking for. It's Just Lunch program allows for the process to be relaxed and enjoyable. Low stress.

Thanks to Carissa, I just had a great date! She was so very patient as I described my ideal person and she found him! He actually called me the very next day and we have plans for a second.
I trust Carissa and am looking forward to more dates because I know she knows exactly who I'm looking for.

In the beginning with its just lunch, I had several matchmakers who really did not match me up with the right people and I even have one that matched me or somebody three hours away. I was very disappointed I thought I wasted my money.

However my current matchmaker Debra S. Is excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. She really listens to what I'm looking for end of the dates that she sent me up with what I liked and didn't like. She definitely showed more enthusiasm and was overall very thorough and trying to find the right match for me.
Although I'm currently not renewing my membership due to family reasons, I told Debra, That when I am ready possibly later next year I certainly hope she is still around and then we can work together again.
So is my experience in the beginning was not very good and I was disappointed I definitely turned around mainly because of the matchmaker Debra!

I was so hopeful that I could find someone through a service that vetted men, but that was the only thing that was helpful. My dates were all at halfway points which were as far as I was willing to go to date someone. Most lived 1 1/2 to 2 hours away. I am a city girl and only one man even liked going into the city and even then he was gone every 2 weeks. I cannot believe there was not one man in the city I could meet. Most dates were only once a month. I wish I just would have saved my money since I really did not have that much. Still paying till January and no dates at all since one in September. Sadly I was hopeful at my age and nothing worked out at all. Sorry that I had to write this as I really liked my counselors. Not their fault if there us no one for me. Back to the bars!

I've been with IJL for a while. I first joined in Philly, then Cleveland and now back in my hometown. I really appreciate the effort they put in to finding me a partner! However, at times I don't think they hear what I'm telling them about the type of lady I'd like to meet and that I want to meet somebody in my area I live. IJL has set me up on dates at a greater distance than want to travel. I know, you never can tell were you'll find a mate, but distance is still an issue!

I signed up for Its Just Lunch in April 2020. During the pandemic I was offered two 'virtual video dates'. One was out of state, the other couldn't figure out how to log on. Its now been almost a year since I signed up for 12 dates and they have scheduled my FIRST date for the end of February. During the past year, I've had 5+ matchmakers - no consistency - how could they match me if they've never met or talked to me except to read my initial profile. Months went by with no contact from anyone at all. During transition between matchmakers they appear to have 'lost' my file. Or never reassigned my account. I filed and requested a refund and they denied it.
If they have been able to find ONE potential match in a year, How long will it take them to find 12 dates? Will they scrape the bottom of the barrel? Or just match me with anyone that doesn't match my criteria? The service is terrible. Not worth the money. RUN!

I would agree this is a total scam. First, I was charged $3600 for 3 dates, which clearly from every other review on here it seems I should have only been charged $1500. The fact that there is no standardized pricing and this rep tried to tell me that was a deal is false and misleading at best. I think this company should be sued just for that fact. In addition, I had one date that it did not take the matchmaker very long to find and it was obvious there was no consideration into what I was looking for put into it. They just match you with whoever to get you through the cycle and make money. Worst company ever.

I love working with Tanya. We are on the same page. She gets me and has my back at each dating opportunity.
She is a great listener and knows what I want. Plus, she works hard to make sure she finds the best gentleman for me. I have not been in
It's Just Lunch long, but have already had two other matchmakers. There's a saying about the third time is the charm - well Tanya has been the charm for me. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

Online dating is horrible, these guys make it so fun and easy! I always know my dates are pre-screened, and hand picked by experts. I have been on 3 dates so far and have enjoyed getting to know great new people... My matches have been exactly what I asked for, and I am looking forward to my second date tomorrow night with my most recent match... Thank you It's Just Lunch for all you do! I have had a wonderful experience joining. It's just lunch this fall. Salina, who started the process was wonderful and Sarah. My Matchmaker has been great. :) I just submitted another review that had some images of myself as well. I am looking forward to a second date with my first match and meet my second match to kick off 2023…excited for more amazing first date options to come. Bring on the Lasting LOVE of my LIFE! Unfortunately, this is a bit of a scam. They promise to "match" with someone who shares your interests and values and is basically "compatible" with you. But they don't seem to have enough members to do any of that and end up picking people according to age groups. I have also been misled by the "matchmakers" who provided me with wrong information about the match's occupation and other details that I consider important. In a nutshell, it is like paying $4000 to tinder and letting it match you according to its algorithm without you even approving the match... I am almost sure the algorithm would do a better job than the IJL matchmakers. Avoid, no matter how frustrated you feel about the app dating experience... join a book club.

I've had a good experience with It's Just Lunch and specifically my matchmaker Debra! She has made the process easy and is truly interested in finding good matches. She asks great questions, listens and works on my behalf to set me up with quality people. Thank you Debra!

Anita hit on my core values that I was looking for in a companion! The only thing missing was location. Regardless, she was spot on in suggessting Scott for me. He would be a 2nd date (or more!) match if he didn't live so far away. But no doubt, he and I will remain longtime friends! Thank you Anita!

I would not be in this service if I was not cared for as an individual and I found that in my matchmaking team. Both Eugene and Elizabeth truly love what they do and this passion is shown in how they treat others. They bring humanity and genuineness back into relationships. Anita found a wonderful match for my first date. We shared stories, talked a lot spent almost two hours for lunch and laughed a lot. The laughter was great. Since we live at quite a distance from each other we decided to not pursue a second date, but we did exchange phone number. Anita is now looking for match #2.

My initial experience was not good. My first matchmaker was not responsive and did not have a good handle on the type of man I was looking for. I suspended my contract for a period of time and then decided to try again. My experience with my present matchmaker, Jaiye, has been very good. He is responsive to my calls and texts and knows the type of man I am looking for and it shows in his selection of dates.

My matchmaker Sarah is the best ever! I am new to It's Just Lunch and Sarah made me feel welcome from the first phone call and our first zoom meeting. I love hearing from Sarah when she follows up to see how my date went. Sarah listens and takes note of everything I share. Sarah takes time to find me the best match and arranges dates who I would be interested in. She truly is one of a kind! Thank you

My first date went well, we exchanged numbers. Jaiye was very good in selecting someone who seemed compatible. From what I'm understanding there are different packages as far as the cost goes. I did not realize that and should have asked more questions. But Jaiye is a great wing man for me! He listens and understands what I'm looking for in a mate. I'm confident this process with be the end of an unwanted career of dating!
