There are lots of reviews on here that have one or two stars but those are just kids who hate learning and don't know the Insufferable pain that is I-Ready. IXL has helped me a lot through middle school and to put how helpful IXL is into perspective I learned imaginary numbers in 7th grade. Please do not listen to all these whiny kids who don't like learning.
IXL would have been great but, it makes no effort to actually improve the students that are using it. Unlike Khan Academy it does not have real time help options and a lot of time the explanations do not make sense. It has an extremely harsh points system that only gives about 3-4 points for correctness but takes close to 6 for a question input wrong. I have seen students have nearly 200 questions answered 2+ hours of time trying to pass and still give up at an 80. IXL causes more harm than good and has negative effects on the mental health of students. The image shown shows how long it took for a student to get to a 100 on their IXL through all 6 sessions

Ixl is the most riged stress racking rage incurgeing learn app out there, it shoulden't even be an app, and its all the same. Example, you go to forth grade reading and do the theme and you go to eghth grade and do the them catigory they have the same Q and A. Nobodyy likes ixl but like 1 person in my class, it sucks over all and the presedent should ban ixl.

I'm a child, BUT I STILL GET PAIN FROM THIS, I used to love ixl, do it everyday without problem years ago, BUT ON ONE DAMN DAY I ALMOST MISSED DINNER JUST BECAUSE I WAS CRYING FROM MISSING ONEEE QUESTION, I had spent HOURS getting to that point and what did I get? PROGRESS RESET TO 80, THE CHALLENGE ZONE IS INSANE AS WELL, IT GOES UP ONE BY ONE, SUCH ASSSSSSSS (not the curse word), you spend 2 hours getting from 90 to 95 in challenge zone, you mess up, NOW YOUR AT 86- my parent don't see the pain I get from this, I literally told my mom about how your progress goes down so badly from just one wrong question, AND SHE SAID ITS JUST HOW TO LEARN AND SOMEEEEE PROGRAMS DO THAT, WELL YES I KNOW ITS HELPS ME LEARN, BUT ITS NOT WORTH ALL THE TEARS YOU GET FROM IT!
