IXL sucks soooooo much! NEVER EVER NEVER use it to learn, if you get one right you go up 3 and if you get one wrong you go down 10?!? Like what!? ITS SO FRUSTRATING AND STUPID and the examples are HORRIBLE, you can spen 50 min on it and only get to 30💀💀💀💀

I implore you, do not use this website. My younger brother and I have actually cried in Ixl, you get 1 problem away from finishing, and then it brings you down 10 points. I request that you do not call this "education" it is simply an excuse for a painful way to get kids to memorize a sentence. This website is absolute trash and I hope it gets ripped to shreds like paper, please, don't use this.

The point system is unfair, making a lot of stress for students. Also, the explanations are trash as f##k, adding even more stress when students get questions wrong and then they see the same exact f##king thing over and over just cause they got one wrong. This site should be banned from all school districts forever and ever. (Seriously, just use khan academy).

It is the BEST BEST way to put your kid into a complete breakdown. You can make him/her have constant mental breakdowns, and see him/her get frustrated. Its also the best way to turn him/her into a nuke! The constant setback with its lenient punishment for getting a question wrong is THE BEST! There's ONE MAIN ISSUE; for some reason, after I do ixl, my computer always is folded in half again, and has a few more cracks in it. It also for some reason, has this green thing with small boxes and lines and letters... I don't know

As you can see from the other reviews from this site, IXL is a learning site... THAT IS SO PAINFUL! Though IXL says it's personalized learning, all it does is push skills towards you. In each skill you have to get 100 points to earn mastery. At first, you get 10 or more points per question... but then that number dwindles to a few points. Worse, IXL is really unforgiving - mistyping, misclicking, forgetting a zero, making a rounding mistake, and more can cause you to lose a TON of points later in the level.
If you are an adult reading this, DON'T MAKE KIDS DO THIS! If you are a kid like me, GET AN ACCOUNT AND WRITE A REVIEW!

If you fail one question in like the 70s then you go all the way back to like 62 if you fail in the 90s you get pushed back all the way to 79 and when I'm done with the ixl thing I don't remember anything from the ixl also every time I get pushed back a lot I get angry and the quality is really bad.

OK, I'm gonna be honest, this site would not be so GODAWFUL if they changed the question format and gave us a 'Dark mode' setting. I mean, you're gonna see the same damn question like 400 times if you get it wrong ONCE. And there is no setting for disabled people like a line reader or anything. Only a stupid little piece of sh*t they call the 'Drawing tool.' I mean, come on. No one actually uses that except when they're bored of being on IXL, which is a little ironic. So, some tips: don't use. Boring as watching paint f*cking dry.

The idea is, you get a question you get it right +____ points wrong -____ points, but as you continue you lose more points, and gain less points.

ALTHOUGH IT IS BETTER THAN ACHIEVE3000, THE PRICES ARE TOO HIGH TO BE ENOUGH FOR ENOUGH TEACHERS TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE FULL VERSION

The only reason why I didn't put 1 star is because the only thing IXL is good for is a good reason to give out prizes. My teachers give prizes to the top 3 people on the leaderboards. I found this cracked strat called HP.14. Search hp.14 in the bar. It will give you so many correct questions for math IXL leaderboards. Watch the video for guidance. (By the way, I did not buy it. The school district did.) [6th grade]

I could never get a question correct! I was assigned it every night for homework and threw a fit because I had answered 47 questions and only at 28 percent. IXL is all about points, NOT MATH OR WHATEVER SUBJECT YOU ARE WORKING ON!

Ixl makes me slave away 100 hours a day. I have not seen my family in 22 straight days since 1/2/24... I miss them so much. Please bring justice for this horrendous site that won't and will not EVER let me catch a break. For over 432 days, i have been slaving away. I thought it was a harmless site, but NO! I was happy to join the time, but like iready... I slave away, each day, crippling loneliness... depression. Justice to the slavess of IXL

If you get one question wrong when you're about to finish, it will take away almost half of your score and you will have to do it all over again.

I am a middle school student, age 11 who loves going to school but IXL just ruins it. IXL was a good idea but the owners have failed to execute the idea decently. IXL can be stressful because of the point system. The point system doesn´t make any sense because why should I be losing 16 points over 1 question? The percentage system seems way more reasonable here. I did not buy the IXL subscription and I am happy that the school does because I would never buy such a thing. IXL should change a few things.

It just doesn't explain well enough. When I get something wrong, I want a good concise explanation on how to do it, not a bunch of yapping going nowhere or 10 words basically saying "look at the picture". Just use Khan Academy, it's so much better

Almost every day i have to do it and right now i am in tears because of this stupid website that brings dawn my motivation when i use the website every thing about it is stressful from the points to the questions and its not like three are real instructions like what the absolute!

IXL sucks and has caused me multiple mental breakdowns especially when your parents are in favor of it and are making you not use a calculator when you very clearly need an effing calculator. Also, my teacher assigned ELEVEN FREAKING IXLS THE WEEK I LEFT FOR KYA THAT THURSDAY. And my mom wont agree with me that ixls suck and are causing me soo much stress and she is nagging me bc I can't remember what the heck they are and is threatening to ground me bc I don't have half of them done from last week (the week I left for Kya) and have a B in math. Don't get IXL. Save yourself the pain

Ixl is trash ounce you get past the 90 percent it gives you crazy hard question and is overall very stresfull for students and we even get hw on ixl its HELLLL! Ixl is a sumb website.
