We have been using Jacquie Lawson cards & advent calendars for about 10 yrs now. My husband found it and sent them regularly and generally purchased about 12-20 advent calendars for a lot of our family. We have never had an issue with any of it. It isn't always the easiest to contact them but I did have to 3 times over the years (getting the account switched from my husbands name to mine after his passing) and always got a fairly rapid response. I have really enjoyed the advent calendars over the years. That being said, the most recent one here (London 2021) is definitely failing to live up to the past one (I still use the Cotswolds one from last year tho). It's as if they're tired or someone else took over. It's bland, not as interactive, and not very Christmassy (?). I'm am less than overwhelmed with this years calendar but still hopeful that they will bounce back next year.
There are 2 worst types of c artist, those who pretend to be charities and prey on the weak, and those who prey on happy occasion seekers. This is the second. They took my money, let me delight in choosing a card, then told me that because I had previously had to block their email address (due to it being hijacked for spam) that I could not send the card. No fast help to get my money back, they don't do online chat in UK hours, so having to wait for them to reply to a strong email. Also worth noting you can't buy UK gift vouchers either. Anyway, Amazon do a lovely card and voucher with no hassle at all, so use them and not these people. Will update here if they fail to return my money without me having to go to my card issuer. This outfit is dangerous, do not under any circumstances give them a penny of your cash.
I purchase the new Advent calendar every year and feel like a child, anticipating each new activity in December until it is Christmas. I have given several gifts to others as well in order to bring Christmas cheer as we anticipate the season and Christmas draws near. The calendars are beautiful from an artistic view, and the activities are fun and creative. I love the room where you can play solitaire, put together puzzles, smash Christmas tree bulbs, etc. (each year's activities differ). I'm sorry to see some reviews saying customer service has been bad; I've been a customer for many years now and can only rave about my experiences.
I've been using the service for about 6 years. I really like the service. It's easy and keeps you from missing anyone's birthday. I think once they " forgot" to notify me. I wrote a letter of complaint and it hasn't happened again. Well worth the money. The cards are keep up to date with new designs.
I have had a membership at this site for a number of years and it has been a lifesaver many times when I needed a last minute birthday, get well, congratulations, or other greeting. They have a huge variety of animated online greeting cards and you can customize your own greetings on most of them. No problems with payments and the few times I have had questions or issues needing resolution, they never went longer than 48 hours. Very happy with their quality and customer service. My favorite thing about subscribing to this site is that you can send unlimited numbers of cards on unlimited occasions.
I joined Jacquie from the very beginning and used her cards a lot for more than 20 years. Then for some reason she turned it over to some hot shot who thought he/she would "update it." Into something unusable, unable to find things, and unable to send.
But now they're back and back to being easy. Congrats!
I have an iPad and this may have some bearing on why this is happening. Once I complete my message in the message box and press send, the message disappears. Gone.
Further, I have used this programme for 14 years and they have a way to access new credit cards once old ones are decommissioned or compromised. This without our knowledge or consent. Every business contacts you if the credit card is not valid. Scary! This has happened several times and I know a request for a refund is a waste of time especially after reading the reviews. Will need to use the bank to stop payment. Stay away from this company.
I have been a customer of Jacquie Lawson for over 10 years. I absolutely love her cards and use them throughout the year. Anyone I send one to is thrilled with their card. I just sent a Christmas Card to all my friends and they have thought it beautiful and touching. There are so many cards in different categories that there is an abundance of choice. I also purchased the London Advent Calendar. I thought it was amazingly beautiful. The artwork was wonderful. I think that I will continue to stay with Jacquie Lawson cards.

There are so many cards to choose from. Listen and watch your choice all the way through to make sure it’s the card to send. Also, fill out your wishes on a small card that comes up at the end of watching the card. The singing and music are beautiful. Easy to use. Quick delivery.

I use Jacquie Lawson cards online. I just sent out my Christmas card list to my friends and the cards went to people’s online addresses. Very simple. Just put a check mark next to who I want to send a card to, and it goes out immediately. I am already receiving glowing comments from friends as they are able to send me a note letting me know that they received their beautiful card from.
I also bought a London Advent Calendar. It was beautiful and I enjoyed it every day until Christmas.
Despite Jacquie Lawson confirmation on 23/09/2023 that my anniversary card had been sent, it did not arrive.
I am aware that you will state that actual delivery is not your problem, this is the first non-delivery I have experienced with Jacquie Lawson cards. Especially disappointing since it is our Wedding Anniversary! I was also unable to view the card, going through the web site provided. Not a happy chappy!

I have been a member of Jacquie Lawson e-cards for many years. If you are looking for beautiful cards with lovely music, you want to use a Jacquie Lawson card. Their cards are not only beautiful, but their customer service is wonderful too... although rarely needed. Besides the cards, they have Widgets for your desktop and Advent Calendars that will blow you away. With the Advent Calendar, you can decorate Christmas trees, make Christmas Stockings & wreaths, do puzzles and so much more. Every day in December reveals another game to play. During the day the sky is bright & at night the sky is dark with a moon & stars. Because the clock on the towers tell the real time it knows when it is day or night. Definitely a site worth seeing. I can tell you from personal experience that you will be glad you checked it out.
I really don't understand how you could not give J LAwson cards a 5 star for many years I send her Dogs, cats and animals Xmas and New Year cards. All my friends love animals and they just love her cards. Just beautiful experience. If you have cats and dogs and are in touch with nature and love animals this is place to be. Just charming. Chudleigh her chocolate lab was first hero but he died but he still features big. All the cats and dogs remind me of my menagerie. Such people with bad taste... giving poor review.

Dear Jacquie, I have been a fervid follower over many years and have had
so much pleasure from your work but now I feel you seem to have lost the
plot. From your breathtaking lovely simplicity of the Christmas cottage
and the spiritual joy of the sheep in Silent Night to the truly awful
brash and totally commercial Alpine calendar that is so packed with
technology that it slows down the action to jerky waits even though fibre
rates of 38 cannot cope.
Please please consider a return to the peaceful,beautiful amusing work
that brings so much pleasure.

Today I sent a card for immediate delivery and one for later this month but made an error by clicking on "Renew Membership" by mistake. It isn't up for a long while but I received a thank you and am worried that a charge on my credit card will be made a year in advance. There is no way to reach them as the Contact Us button does not function.
In reviewing these two cards the print is not where I typed so I went back and forth changing the position of words to improve the look. I wish to opt out at the end of my first year but I noticed today that I am locked in for two years and am sure I would not have agreed to that as I was 80 when I joined and I don't commit to anything that long ever. Jacquie is quite a business person making sure everything is in her favour and tough on us.

I so enjoyed the 2016 Advent Calendar that I ordered the 2017 Alpine Calendar this year. It is a serious disappointment. I can go to each day's activity and complete the activity, but when is click on "Return to Scene" the program does not take me back. I have to re-download. Then, when I open on the village scene, nothing that I have done shows up. The scene remains the same as it was at the beginning and does not show my Christmas tree that I created and tried to put on display. I contacted Jacquie Lawson on their site for help with this problem. Three days later--no response.
I've been using JL cards for years. They are lovely and those I send them too always compliment them. However, the new "app" is the worst! Nothing works well and there is no technical/customer support. Not the classiest cards 9n the net anymore. Hopefully someone at the company is reading all these reviews regarding customer service and will do something. A small company trying to get too big too quickly and ruining the company in the process. Sadly, will not renew my membership in the future.
I just received a charge on my credit card for $32.00 from Jacquie Lawson. When I called the number on my discover charge, it was American Greetings and they told me I would have to contact Jacquie Lawson. But there is no phone number to call. So I sent an email. This charge was for an automatic renewal on my membership. Not only did it go up from last year but there was no notice ahead of time to let me know that it was coming up and what it would be. Any other company that I have an automatic member with, lets me know ahead of time that a recurring member is coming up and what it is going to me. I asked for a cancellation of my account and a refund on this payment. But they refused and only offered to give me the year's membership at last years rate. Needless to say, after this year I won't be doing business with them any more.
Love how I can send a card and the recipient receives it on the actual day! The cards are beautiful and people love them. Easy to use and gives you 1.30 mins of well wishes from the sender. Thank you Jacquie

I was gifted and Advent Calendar which I still can't access 4 days before Christmas. They say you just need to register for a free account but when you try, they ask you to choose between $20 or $30 (2 years or 3 years) and you have to put in a credit card to register - that is NOT a free account. I wrote to customer service and detailed the issue - they responded over a week later and didn't read my entire message because what they told me to do I had said didn't work in the body of the email. Shady practice to have one person but a card/calendar then make the receiver put in a credit card to receive it!
No Diwali cards or anything suitable. Amazingly un- diverse. Website address books chaotic and updated fir the worse. Time consuming loading of cards/pages. Unsuitable fir those with ADHD. No faster speed option as with Audible.
Video Cards are too long snd aged, suitable for children and elderly. None contemporary. Fee static cards and of the 2/3 they are too aged to send. No changes regardless of complaints. Hard to believe I paid for 3 yrs subscription for this with no redress!

Why oh why did you bother? Your Seaside calendar last year was a joy; this one is a horror show. Why have you switched from the downloadable form to this monstrosity that requires an internet connection? Why is is only videos? Why is it a web-based page? What a total waste of time and money!
You can't please all the people all the time, but there are cards for ALL tastes and every occasion. I've been a customer for at least 10 years and I am very choosy about greetings I send to friends and family.
I now have a second friend sending me these tedious ecards. They go on forever and are a waste of my time. They are really so impersonal I would much rather have the person send me an email saying thinking of you hope you have a happy birthday. They might be more appropriate for little children. Crossing my fingers I never receive another one
I've delighted in the Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar for years! But the changes that were made this year 2017 were so retrograde. No, not even retrograde, the changes destroyed the charm of all these years...
I'll think twice about ordering one this coming Christmas 2018,,,, so sad.
Don't know the reason for the bad review stats. I guess that those with complaints look for a place to blow off steam. Some don't even know the fee is for unlimited card. Auto renewal is normal. Unsubscribe if you want!
I purchase the Advent Calendar each year: One for me and one for my cousin. This year's is terrible. I cannot get any of the days to load. There is no number or email any longer for customer services. Just a bunch of questions and answers. After 20 years, I will no longer purchase anything from this site. There should be a person to whom one can contact. It is money that one is spending on gifts that should work.

If you want to lose your money and not be able to speak with anyone or email at least, then use it.
