Jotform is a great free online service. It provides advanced form submissions. I was surprised how many conditions I can apply to specific questions on my form. They also have easy integration with payment, mailing marketing, google, dropbox. Jotform has endless options that provides a small business to create professional forms.
I signed up for free service to utilize Jotform for a Vietnam Veteran Breakfast my community and I will host this March 2024. I came across Jotform on youtube and it seemed like a good choice. I created 3 exceptional forms with hours and hours of fine tuning and input from multiple volunteers. I put my confidence in Jotform and was optimistic this process would save us time from doing it manually as we had done the previous year. Everything was going fine for about 3 weeks then today the QR codes stopped working, people are calling me, I am locked out. So, I reached out to customer service online and received an initial reply where I was asked to provide documentation that I am legitimate. I am like WHAT?!?! Why didn't they ask me about all this when I signed up. Customer Service says 24/7! I have tried to connect multiple times in the last 10 hours with no response. I complied with everything they asked for to prove my legitimacy. Shame on me for not backing up what I created! To recreate this would take a boat load of time. I don't know if I am more furious or heart broken. I pride myself on doing my best for my community and our Veterans. This makes me and my good efforts look unprofessional. And yes it makes Jotform look unprofessional too. Subscribers, buyer, user please BEWARE!
I have been using JotForm for a few years and find the platform very easy to use and navigate. The new improvements are great. The pricing structure is a little pricey, but still works for us.

Always a back end issue, for someone who uses online forms for sales it's not good. Mistakes happen fine but it's always a song and dance to fix reoccurring issues! I wa spaying monthly and all of a sudden a customer messaged me that when they went to fill out form it said I (the business) maxed out our limit of submissions (classy for customers to see), so I went online and they said I had to upgrade in order to TURN MY FORM BACK ON! After hours of being disabled and losing sales I paid it even though I was confused because I knew it was gonna take forever for customer service. When I paid I used a different email and they gave me a whole new account while also enabling my old. The new account sat there 3 months with zero forms and them taking payments now for 2 accounts. Only 1 was ever used. I kept in touch the whole time and now they won't refund me because it's past refund time. $39 3 times! Imagine if they did this to everyone and what if I didn't catch it. A lawyer would have a field day with this class action because I know I'm not alone. Jotform is $#*!, not the program itself but whoever is running behind the scenes is stealing!

This application was very easy to use and setup. I took over the account from a former colleague and had to figure out how to use and navigate on my own and I had no trouble. I had to poke around to see where the other preferences etc. for my account were, and it would be nice to have a panel on each page to be able to view these for ease of navigation around the site. Some of the updates and other help-related or explanation articles are a little advanced and I have no idea what it really means, but that just means that it's too advanced for me to use so I don't go down that road.
Besides those points, this tool makes it super easy to setup the forms, and receive and use the information. You can toggle the attachment (upload) size of files and make all different kinds of fields and selection options, requirements, and I even used some 'conditional rules' so if the submission is about a particular item, certain other fields/selections can pop up or not depending on what you want. This makes it easier for the customer to only view or need to fill out relevant information for their particular instance.

Jotform is a tool that allows you to easy build forms to collect data. The data can be automatically saved to a google sheet or directed to many other types of applications at the click of a button.
In addition to having the saving of data/sending of data at the click of a button, many other exciting features exist. It can easily be wired to paypal for purchases which makes it a great solution for small ecommerce type applications.
Results can be mailed as they are submitted. A cool feature that exists is the ability to send it from your own email address! Many sites do not have this type of feature because of mail relay challenges!
Last, but certainly not least, our use case found some interesting features that you may not realize. You can publish an HTML report that has results available. The coolest connection to that data that I have found is to then point a tool like Microsofts Power BI Desktop to it, to visualize it! It's a great way to see your data in a visual format, right on your desktop because of the power HTML report feature that is exposed with Jotform.

The templates and hence the sites you can create with this site may look nice, however, your frustration level will peak before you get there, because the form builder is quite bug-y. Making adjustments that go beyond the usual colour and format adjustments, need to be done in CSS, which not everyone who just wants to build a simple form, may feel comfortable with.
The display showed colours that weren't the ones I had picked (but in reality, the colours that I had picked were the ones displayed in the final form, so don't let this throw you off).
When you finally have your form on your site (after several hours) and are ready to test it, you might come across an error message saying that the form is not secure. I tried to rid myself of that problem by using the encryption that one can select for the template, and downloaded the encryption code that I received, however, despite all that, I never got passed that security message.
I sure don't want my website's users to see an error message about a security problem with the form, so I cut my losses and deleted the form from my site. As it took me several hours to complete and customize that template, I have to say my mood was pretty bad for the rest of that day.

I've been using Jotform for about 9 months now and I have dumped many, many hundreds of hours into building my forms. Therefore, I can say that I thoroughly understand the product. The reason why I originally choose Jotform is because I knew my forms were were going to be complex and I would need an incredibly flexible form builder to build the type of form I am trying to build. I can confidently say Jot form has met every challenge I threw at it. The system is incredibly flexible. However, what I would have to say is even better than the form builder itself is the customer service. This service team does not just answer questions, but they always go the extra mile. For example, when a form needs to look for preform a certain way, they will often write the CSS code for me! In addition, they always answer in an incredibly timely fashion! Typically, I will receive an answer to my question within two hours! I just wish all customer service in other industries and other companies were as good as Jotform's customer service. Anyway, I would give Jotform stars if possible, as I believe they deserve it. I highly recommend their product!

Yesterday my new boss asked me to create a membership form for his web site. I said "Sure - I can do that." I had set up numerous forms for the TV station where I used to work a few years ago.
When I went to actually start work on the form I discovered that the generator I used to create forms for the TV station was no longer available. I searched around the web for another free forms generator and found a few, along with several commercial forms sites.
I decided to try using an HTML tutorial site that showed several examples of. Php-based forms. I tried one - went through the lesson and produced a form, but it didn't work. I couldn't get the email notification to function correctly. I then tried several different sites and couldn't get any of them to work properly. The basic code would work fine but as soon as I tried to customize them for my needs they failed.
I finally got one of them to work, I thought, but then found that I couldn't get all of the information captured by the form to show up in the notification email. I spent several hours in what proved to be a fruitless endeavour.
I finally decided to try a commercial site and did a little research on the subject this time before going any further. My research led me to JotForm (www.jotform.com) and I am very pleased with the results.
JotForms' simple, user-friendly interface and sophisticated customizability were just what I needed to impress my boss. I was able to give him everything he wanted with style.

Joform is a user friendly online application that allows you to create online forms for submission, to include SSL submissions and payments. It is easy to use and has a drop box interface enabling each submission to conveniently land in your drop box.
You can enable it to send the information directly to your email address, or leave it on the server where you can go in and download the CSV or Excel or pdf submissions or you can do all through; log in and download, have them on drop box and land in your email.
You can also configure it to have the email arrive in your account as though sent directly from the person submitting the form.
For those who will have less than 100 submissions per account, the account is free. Above that one can upgrade to premium account for $9.95 a month to allow 1000 submissions, up to $49.95 per month for 100,000.
There are numerous templates to work from with varying styles, or you can create your own.
Integrating the form is easy, using simple copy and post code for a variety of platforms.
At any point you can update the form or disable it.

DO NOT use this form builder if you take payments from within your forms. The form will semi consistently submit multiple iterations of the same submission, charging the customer multiple times on a single authorization.
This has been happening for well over a year, the company has known about the issue for at least 14 months, and has literally done nothing about it.
The problem has gotten progressively worse over time. Now we are getting the same submission up to 7 times, and the only reason it wasnt 8 is the payment failed on the eighth attempt charging a customer a total of $2254 on a charge of $322. Luckily we caught the issue on our end immediately, and refunded the charges, however, we still were charged the credit card processing fees of over $65. That is for ONE time this happened, and it happens a few times per day. Granted, this example is one of the worst.
There is ZERO customer support. You can submit a ticket, to which they invariably reply that they will send the issue to their dev team and reply in the ticket thread when it is resolved. The ticket i originally submitted was in January of 2021, 14 months ago, and I have posted in it 9 times since.
There is no phone number to call, nor will they call you, they just say "Unfortunately, we do not currently have phone support available as the nature of the support we provide here sometimes requires testing to find the problems and their solutions which can be solved over the phone"
I assume they meant "can't" but since they dont seem to speak English particularly well, I can forgive that.
Bottom line, if you want a simple "Contact Us" form, great. If you take payments, don't subject your customers to this inept service.
Note: We are building a website with all of our forms built in house. The process is just taking much longer than we anticipated as our forms are very complex, also making it not worth rebuilding them on an intermediate platform to bridge the gap.
