Installed the tall sissy bar on wife's XL. Fit & finish is great. Seems like it will remain very solid & durable. Like some other reviews stated the hardware could be upgraded. We didn't have issues w/the heads stripping, I believe, because of reading reviews prior.
JP had extensive inventory for picking out my air cleaner intake. However I evidently over looked the additional mount kit required for the installation, which doubled the price. The intake filter material was foam not my first choice very disappointing all around experience including the JP reps both of whom sounded as though they didn't want to be there disgruntled.
I've mad this seat on 3 of my Harley's now. It is perfect in form and function.

Carefully before ordering. You will not get 2 day shipping. Most likely week. Then they blame it on everyone else. Rookie parts people. Secretaries at best. Best ordering from e bay or Amazon. At least you will get it on time. Then J P. Will tell there is nothing they can do.

Well, went to install the grips today and lo and behold, they would not fit in the housing when trying to close them up. But, I have a J&P store within an hour's drive so I went there to return them. While there, we (employees and myself) tried a few different sets from Avon in assorted housings and the same issue happened. Will not close on the switch housings. Easy return, but just a total PITA!

What i know for a fact that i won't shop with them again. Their service agents are not helpful at all like they don't care. I have ordered items 2 days ago when i found out its not shipped i reached out and i was told that i need to wait 5-7 days because some parts are out of stock! Why i wasn't this highlighted before i order! My ordered has 22 items, why was it held back for 1 or 2 items that are out of stock? I didn't even get any email after placing the order notifying me to expect delays! Definitely not shopping with the again. Its the 24th and order still processing!

It was ok with the exception that I was under the impression that I was getting a 10 percent discount. I ordered the seat anyway and it arrived without any hiccups. In the future I will make sure I get the discount when offered or I will not continue with the purchase.

I have been very happy shopping here BUT this last time, the order shipped UPS and then transferred to USPS. At that time, my address was nto legable and was not delivered. If it hadn't been for me the next day talking wiht my mail delivery person and him finding it at the facility and delivering it to me 2 days later. WHY if it is mailed UPS does it get transferred to USPS?

Had purchased a high dollar item from another reputable, large vendor. Item was on back order. Found the same item at J&P Cycles. J&P had the same item in stock and they advertise a price match on the website. Contacted a rep with the company. Was told because the item was on back order with another company that they wouldn't price match. The rep even referred to me as "partner", not sir. Rather rude employee. Informed him I'd gladly buy from the other company.

Quality and ease of access
The seat I ordered arrived and looks great! The problem is that after installing and testing it out I found that it positioned me more forward than the stock seat. When I inquired about working out some kind of solution to the problem with a company representative I was told that because I had installed and ridden the bike that the seat was considered "used" and as per their policy it could not be returned. I told him that I understand the policy and was asking if we could work something out to our satisfaction. The answer was sorry no. My question is how am I supposed to know if a seat is going to work for me or not without trying it? I'm now stuck with a seat I can't use.

Every time I order from them there are mistakes which then I have to return parts. I just cannot deal with the large amount of time it takes to order, return and wait for it all to get sorted out correctly! This causes me a huge loss of time waiting for parts, dealing with them on the phone and office time to figure out all the screwed up paperwork! They do always seem to get it straightened out but the loss of time is just not acceptable!

I ordered a saddle bag and rain pants from them on 09April... The bag arrived in 3 days... The pants were listed as not available from vendor... After many E-mails and attempts to get someone on the phone[this is all but impossible] Elise called me on the SIXTH OF MAY and told me the pants were no longer available... I requested a refund... She said my credit card would be credited. It is now 17 May and no credit has been issued
Bought an extension kit for 16" bars and brake lines were incorrect. When I called up there asking to return the 2 steel braided lines and just get one the length I need, they told me what they sent was the correct part and I could not return it, unless I returned the whole kit. Then told me the lines would have to all be ordered separately, and I would have to build them. The guy on the phone told me what I needed isn't available anywhere so I was SOL on a $400 line and cable kit.

Website showed my bike, parts that fit it, and green also indicating proper fit.
Part did not fit.
They said I have to pay shipping and insurance to return to them.
After several phone calls they agreed to pay "this one time" as if it was my fault.
I emailed a print screen showing how their website was wrong.
Once the item was returned, they did not pay back the shipping of $31 and additionally charged $8 restocking fee.
No one will return my emails, and I am not calling a 5th time as they make me so angry trying to make me feel like the bad guy for trusting their website.

Update: They refunded the shipping. Just left the restocking fee.
Alot of work in phone calls, emails, and trying to correct their mistake.
Still will never recommend them or utilize their services. And I'm out the $$$ for restocking.

John Parham was bitten by the motorcycle bug early in his life. His enthusiasm led to a partnership in a small motorcycle shop from 1975 to 1979. In 1979 he and his wife, Jill, established J. Parham Enterprises, Inc., the predecessor to the present J&P Cycles, Inc. During this time, John still worked full-time and followed his "hobby" in the evening and weekends. In 1982 John was laid off from his factory job. Two years later, in 1984, their small motorcycle shop burned to the ground.
When they easily could have given up, they didn't! Instead, they decided to rebuild the shop, and run the business full-time. Today, J&P Cycles has grown from one employee to over 300. In addition to the Anamosa, IA location warehouse, in 2007 a new 35,000 square foot facility opened in Ormond Beach, FL. At Destination Daytona. The new location features a 15,000 square foot retail space and separate call center.
