Installed the tall sissy bar on wife's XL. Fit & finish is great. Seems like it will remain very solid & durable. Like some other reviews stated the hardware could be upgraded. We didn't have issues w/the heads stripping, I believe, because of reading reviews prior.
JP had extensive inventory for picking out my air cleaner intake. However I evidently over looked the additional mount kit required for the installation, which doubled the price. The intake filter material was foam not my first choice very disappointing all around experience including the JP reps both of whom sounded as though they didn't want to be there disgruntled.

All the products I received were actually what I wanted, nothing wrong with the quality of their products, the problem was actually getting the products, I finally received my last item a day ago, after almost 3 months. My initial order contain 7 or 8 items, I receive two of the items in a reasonable amount of time, but after that I had to contact the company 5 or 6 times, they kept giving me the run around, saying that the items either shipped or were on back order. I would receive emails stating my items had shipped, but after a little investigating it turns out that a shipping label had been created, but to items had actually been sent to the shipping company. I do not recommend buying anything from this company online, unless you want to wait months to receive your items.
They're products are very good quality. If you have a problem with installation or setup, the customer service department will help you out, and if they can't, they will direct you to where you can get the help you are looking for. Always a good experience when I purchase from J&P.

Products also may differ like I ordered a tube with 90 deg bend in nozzle, did I get it nooooo, just a general tube, did I get the spoons I ordered? Nope got a generic version, wrong size and wayyyyy different from photo, spark plugs out of box shipping with tire irons,,, ruined,,, so smart!
Had a live chat they discontinued it as soon as they were supposed to be held accountable.

I have bought from J&P a couple of times over the last few years and not had an issue until now. I bought an "on sale, in stock, usually ships in 1-2 days" Arlen Ness air cleaner assy. That online purchase was on 3/31/16. After a phone call (after being on hold for 1 hour and 7 min) that only gave me an order number and a "pending vendor arrival", which is also all I get each time I check the site for a shipping status and two unanswered emails later. I still have no idea when the item will ship. If it says "pending vendor arrival" that to me means they don't have it. If they don't have it then why would they advertise it "on sale, and show it as in stock" Seems like false advertising to me, completely unacceptable practices.
Last time I buy from them. I guess they think there are not hundreds of other online vendors out their gladly willing to take our money just for being the middleman between us consumers and the actual manufactures.
The worst experience Ive ever had ordering online. Would not ever recommend anyone to order from this company. Ordered a windshield for my bike. Was supposed to be instock and even sent me an email stating it has been shipped. 2 weeks later it is still mia. I leave tomorrow on a 5 day ride without it. I called and canceled it and my GOLD membership. Lmao. That really means a lot.
This place has a lot of hard to find items. Be a little cautious of the cheap import items, cause they will bite you in the butt. All in all a great place for antique items if you don't have local hard to find part shops. I shop here on a regular for my Harley! Helpful staff as well.
I ordered a primary cover on recommendation of their tech. It came with no starter bushing. I called back to ask my this wasn't included and why this isn't mentioned on the website. I also paid for second day air, btw. I was told "I don't know why it wasn't included either but here is the part number... order it if you want to buy it". They didn't even say sorry or match the shipping I paid for. I'm a motorcycle shop and they've just gotten the last dime from me ever!
Great company have gotten many things from them good friendly and knowledgeable people when you call to order have question about a part. Just wish they would quit using ups as their shippers. Anytime I order and ups is the ones delivering my goods to me I may get it or I might not. Please JP Cycles use Fed Ex 9r usps as your shippers I would hate for your good name to go down the crapper because Ups is a crap shipping company

I ordered a helmet no prob right? NO after waiting I call in to find out it's discontinued and they told me it may take months for shippment. How does it take months if the item is discontinued. I swear out nation is getting dumber. Stupid, unintelligent, ignorant, dense, brainless, mindless, foolish, slow, dull, simple, empty-headed, stunned, vacuous, vapid, idiotic, half-bake... that is what I think of j&p cycles.

I ordered a saddlemen seat from here, only because it bypassed the 20 day wait from saddlemen themselves. Once i recieved the order i got a seat that had been hacked at with an angle grinder on the bottom where someone had clearly tried to make it fit onto a bike and remounted the bracket with self tapping screws into plastic. When i tried to get it exchanged they said they would only replace through ground shipping once my item was returned, which added almost 2 weeks till id receive my seat which would not work with my time restriction, since my bike is in a shop waiting on only a seat. Ill never order through them again and if i knew itd be this much of a hassle id have just ordered through saddlemen instead.

I placed two orders, both were delivered with half missing. I was made promise after promise and they did not deliver. I continuously tried to cancel my order yet they wouldnt do it. They took so long I went somewhere else and purchased what I needed. I no longer need the parts and just got an email a month after I placed my order reading that my package has shipped. John Parham was bitten by the motorcycle bug early in his life. His enthusiasm led to a partnership in a small motorcycle shop from 1975 to 1979. In 1979 he and his wife, Jill, established J. Parham Enterprises, Inc., the predecessor to the present J&P Cycles, Inc. During this time, John still worked full-time and followed his "hobby" in the evening and weekends. In 1982 John was laid off from his factory job. Two years later, in 1984, their small motorcycle shop burned to the ground.
When they easily could have given up, they didn't! Instead, they decided to rebuild the shop, and run the business full-time. Today, J&P Cycles has grown from one employee to over 300. In addition to the Anamosa, IA location warehouse, in 2007 a new 35,000 square foot facility opened in Ormond Beach, FL. At Destination Daytona. The new location features a 15,000 square foot retail space and separate call center.
