Installed the tall sissy bar on wife's XL. Fit & finish is great. Seems like it will remain very solid & durable. Like some other reviews stated the hardware could be upgraded. We didn't have issues w/the heads stripping, I believe, because of reading reviews prior.
JP had extensive inventory for picking out my air cleaner intake. However I evidently over looked the additional mount kit required for the installation, which doubled the price. The intake filter material was foam not my first choice very disappointing all around experience including the JP reps both of whom sounded as though they didn't want to be there disgruntled.

Often parts advertised are not in stock with either an unknown lead time or delays of many months before being due into stock. After 5-6 years of generally good dealing with this company I have moved on to more reliable suppliers.
Received a Memphis Shades windshield and it looked worse than the one I took off my bike after 6 years of riding. Scratches everywhere, dirty, and rattling around in a very. Cheap box and almost no packing. Would never order anything from J&P again.
Shipping is the worst! My last order took over a week to even process. Just ordered carb rebuild kit last Friday, still says in processing. Amazon from now on, I don't understand the J&P business model, won't be around much longer I'm sure. I wish I could give negative stars...

Have used J&P many times & had no complaints. Ordered a set of Michelin Scorchers and received within a day. The only problem is that they were manufactured over 6 years ago, in 2012! Old, dried up rubber tires are not safe to put on a MC! I tried for an hour to contact J&P by phone & could not get thru. Finally reached "Nick" on live chat. Was told "No problem, just return the tires for a full refund." This is a problem because now I must wait for a refund and find NEW tires from a reputable source. In the meantime, J&P can sell the OLD tires to someone else! Nick said they use many warehouses across the country & cannot specify exactly which tire you receive. Just wondering... how many consumers have been injured or killed due to J&P junk parts?!?!
Ordered a helmet which never arrived. 7 phone calls back and forth with these people. Each time told a different story. Another one sent. Lie. Will check into it. Another lie. Finally after 2 weeks I requested a refund. Took an additional week and finally showed up in my account. Lesson learned. Never again. Stay away from this company

I was talking to the person that helps me on the chat feature and we went through a couple different seat options and when I described what particular issue I was looking to avoid they recommended this seat.
I chose JMP cycles because they’re the best! They always have great product availability and a wide range of products for my particular bike which is older now.
I was looking for a more comfortable seat for my longer rides.
My experience with these people is exhausting and frustrating. Only takes seconds for those folks to take your Cash and who knows how long to get it back. The only thing received from them was lip-service full of you know what. No Items ever received and after cancelling the order based on incompetent behaviors, they said it could be two weeks before a refund happens.
Based on there performance to date, I doubt they can get that right either.
They'll probably lose track on returning the items to themselves.

They don't really have a customer service department. It's actually their customer disservice dept.
I haven't even received my first order from J&P and they've already lied to me about when they would be shipping my "in stock" item - 3 times in the past week alone. They are slow to ship, but they certainly wasted no time processing the charge to my credit card.
There's a saying - "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I promise I won't make another purchase from them.
The only reason I selected one star is because there isn't a lower rating. If there was, J&P Cycles would certainly qualify for it, hands down.
After multiple talks with the staff about my product not shipping they said they would pay for expedited shipping when it does ship. After it shipped my tracking number showed standard shipping. I chatted with there staff again and was told we can't do anything anymore. Pretty much lied to me. Better off purchasing from harley as this place will take you 3 weeks to get a seat.

I was looking for a seat to replace the original one from Indian motorcycles, Very uncomfortable on long rides. I found one I liked on the Mustang site, I almost purchased, but I decide to take a look on J&P and so glad I did.
J&P had the exact same seat priced 30% lower than the manufacture. Made my decision very easy!

Ordered four items in June they received payment from PayPal the same day. All items said were in stock check status after a couple of weeks only one item in stock all others waiting on vendor. Wasted way to much time trying to call an email them total waste. Finally asked to cancel and credit my PayPal account 7/19/16. Now let's see if they do it.

J&P is absolutely terrible! I ordered an "In Stock" item over a week ago and my order still says processing. I tried calling customer service and was on hold for over 20 minutes before reaching someone and they told me that their warehouse was backed up. I cancelled my order and found another company to work with. I'll have it in hand this weekend!
Truly a bad experience. After getting a recommendation on a baffle from their online consultant, baffle ended up not doing anything. Top things off... they won't accept a return because I had to put it in to test. Customer service was never apologetic or sympathetic. Just made excuses.

John Parham was bitten by the motorcycle bug early in his life. His enthusiasm led to a partnership in a small motorcycle shop from 1975 to 1979. In 1979 he and his wife, Jill, established J. Parham Enterprises, Inc., the predecessor to the present J&P Cycles, Inc. During this time, John still worked full-time and followed his "hobby" in the evening and weekends. In 1982 John was laid off from his factory job. Two years later, in 1984, their small motorcycle shop burned to the ground.
When they easily could have given up, they didn't! Instead, they decided to rebuild the shop, and run the business full-time. Today, J&P Cycles has grown from one employee to over 300. In addition to the Anamosa, IA location warehouse, in 2007 a new 35,000 square foot facility opened in Ormond Beach, FL. At Destination Daytona. The new location features a 15,000 square foot retail space and separate call center.
