“I too went through HELL!”

debra d.
8/8/10

I too went through HELL! W/ Kevin and I was a ferocious nasty witch. Different though than most of you, I never entered the site. I got emails goading me to go in or lose my bid points- trust me i was tempted to get something. I was so f-ing mad though i refused and just kept fighting w/ Kevin. This started 8-9 and today the 26th I finally got a refund for $150. But trust me I had to be tenacious! What I did learn though is being respectful to him went a long way. I had started out as a demon from beyond hell, calling him terrorist and filthy names coupled w/ chilling threats. I was exhausted and SOOO angry. I stopped and regrouped, decided to be HUMAN w/ him as my other self wassad and unhappy, and exhausted. I spoke to him respectfully and thanked him for his cooperation in advance, today my bank assured me it came in last night. Needless to say, lesson learned. Good luck everyone. Don't let the Hate eat you up!

“What a major rip off!”

brenda c.
11/11/14

What a major rip off! I signed up believing I was getting some free bids, next thing you know they charged my credit card (which they said they needed in case I won a bid) $150! After trying to contact a human being, I was also sent to web site, but could still not get any refund. Worst of all... all they stuff they have available for bidding is the same uselessjunk they have had for months. Don't even get caught in their crooked scam like I did!

I too was ripped off... I feel like a fool. But, to combat that feeling, I am taking the following steps:
1.) Post here
2.) Contact ALL state attorney generals' offices (http://www.naag.org/current-attorneys-general.php)
3.) Contact the Federal Trade Comission (http://www.ftc.gov)
4.) Contact my bank to seek their help

Good luck everyone stopping these theives.

I wouldn't get involved with these people. It is a complete scam. They offered free bids if you registered by a certain date, so I clicked on the link and registered and then I find out that they charged me $150 for the bids. When I contacted their customer service department to explain about the mixup and sent them an e-mail about my concern, all they tell me is that it was disclosed when I registered and that there are no refunds. They won't even address the fact that I didn't get the free offer. I will tell everyone that I know not to ever join or do business with this company. They are complete jerks to say the least! I will dispute the charge at all costs.

Stay away from this website. Total scam! Like every one else, I got ripped off and was charged for $150.00 when I signed up to this website. I won 6 bottles of Centrum Multivitamis and they charged me additional $13.76. When the products arrived, it was not Centrum but some unknwon brand. I E-mailed them and requestd a refund, no one get back to me. I tried to dispute this website from my credit card company but didn't succeed. So stay away from this thieves and con artist people.

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! JUMBOCLOSEOUTS is a scam. I am going to try to get my money back from these idiots. FBI, BBB, my bank, whatever. I will not let them steal from me like this. Since they took my money, they have only had about 20 items at most to bid on... The bidders are pretty stupid as they bid and keep bidding until the item finally is won... Who the hell bids on vitamins? What a crock. Make sure to fight to get your 150 back!

Just to Follow up on this, I too was suckered out of $150.00 Live and learn as one writer notates below. This company will pay! Poor lady with the sons birthday cake!
I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm working with their webhost Rackspace.com to take these theives offline. The webhost is in NO way affiliated with these thieves other than the fact they host their website. They can be contacted by *******@rackspace.com.
I can't believe I was taken as well, I guess I've just developed a trust with the technology that is not necessarily good I suppose! If you find out anything that can help take these scammers offline and save someone else the grief, please offer suggestions.

There are roughly the same 14 items to bid on. A couple of gift cards, a ipad, kindle, few laptops, and 46 " samsung plasma. Three of the auctions are for discounted jumbodiscount bids? So you bid for the chance to get discounted bids to bid on discounted items...(about 10 different items). T
He biggest ripoff of this site is the obvious rebidders they have that will up the price and time limit every single time you bid on something. And they have the same screen names if you watch. At. 50 cent a bid, these people are bidding 4 times as much as this stuff is worth. When you see the news report, look above at the advertisement label. I have seen the same news report attached to different penny auctions. STAY AWAY FROM ALL OF THESE!.

Stay away - they charge you $150 without you explicitly consent to it... and would refuse to refund the money. O. K. I accepted this and won two auctions - AND NEVER GOT any of them. Complete scam!

I fell for this scam also... it was even mentioned on Good Morning America, shame on them! The first thing they do when you sign up on this site is deduct $150 from you banking account... I am going to dispute it, in addition to contacting the Better Business Bureau for false advertising. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!

The only thing I would like to say is that I ended up at Jumbocloseouts by reading an article that looks like a newspaper article in regards to JumboBids. The article was written in what looks like a newspaper named the Memphis Gazette. What I want to point out is that if you look at the so-called newspaper article carefully, you will notice that under the name of the paper it says in very light, small print "This site is not affiliated with any newspaper publication". HELLOOOO! That's enough to make me turn tail and run, run, run!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! These CROOKS take the cake! Not only did I get ripped off by their registration fee, but I actually won an auction at a low price and these SCAM ARTISTS did not honor my winning auction. So, not only will you get scammed out of $150 to register, which they don't tell you, you won't get your item even if you win an auction. I don't think these crooks have real actual products to ship or sell. It's all a SCAM!

When I asked for a refund, I was told that they don't give refunds. What a bunch of #@##!**^%# BS! I'm Filing a Dispute with my credit card all the way!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! STAY AWAY FROM JUMBOCLOSEOUTS.COM OR YOU WILL GET BURNED!

Like everyone else, I got scammed, and I am usually ultra careful to be sure I'm not the dummy!
I fought with my credit card company, Master Card, and got nowhere after sending them pounds of evidence, including pages from websites like these. While I eschew CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS, I would have no problem supporting one that INCLUDES MASTER CARD in such a suit, as they are profiting from this, and not exercising any diligence with their merchants to whom they sell the Master Card processing account. They are just as responsible as the jackasses that run this site!

Well, I was fooled just like everybody else. In fact I called multiple times until I finally talked to someone. When I did I threatened to take extreme avenues to get my money back. I then was told to email the billing department and I could possilby get some money back. After not hearing back from the billing department, I decided to call over and over again and then threatened to report them to the authorities.

I was then literally talked into doing what's called a tier 3 promotion. Where instead of $150 they would refund me $100 and I would still hang on to the 300 bids... that was on Friday 07/30. It is now Thursday 08/05 and I haven't seen any refund!

I also went on and tried to win by bidding only to confirm what everybody else said... It's a complete joke! Who in their right mind would waste that much money only to pay some more money on an item! SCAM!

I'm going to report this site to the FBI... everyone should join me. Simply go to the FBI's website and you will find a link where you can report fraudulent websites.

Good Luck guys!

SAME AS OTHER COMPLAINTS. I HAD SPEND 3 HRS TO CHECK ON THE BID, AND FOUND OUT THAT THEY PUT AN AUTO BIDDER FROM THE INSIDE TO RISE THE UP THE BID. IF YOU PAY ATTENTION YOU WILL SEE THAT ONE MOST COMMON BIDDER GO FROM THE BEGINING TO THE VERY END OF THE AUCTION. LOOK LIKE THIS PERSON WANT TO PAY 10X THE RETAIL PRICE.
