“Read the small print - part 2”

Jan H.
2/15/16

See previous review. After being told there is no way I will get a refund and I must spend the £35 taken out of my account, my account has just been credited with £35, so if you were told the same ask for a refund and if no luck write to their MD - it works. Apart from all that they do sell nice products and are efficient in posting items - just please read the small print

I ordered 3 pair of shoes, they took the money from my acc and they send me after more then a month one pair totally different and very very bad quality. Total amount I paid for that it was £56.40. I send an email I didn't received nothing back. I'm also afraid to call them cause I don't know how much money is costing per minute.

What an absolute con for a website. Ordered a pair of shoes (buy one get one free). Received the shoes and two lots of payments came out of my account! I rang and disputed the charges and insisted that they cancel my so called subscription. This month I was charged another £35.00... THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE RIP OFF... STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS WEBSITE... THEY ARE SCAMMING ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS!

Upon making a purchase from this Company you are given the option NOT to Subscribe. However, you will find that the following month your card is automatically debited a further £35 without any authorisation from you. REPORT THIS TO YOUR BANK AND CANCEL YOUR CARD. This is the only way you can stop this from happening. JustFab will tell you that if you Skip a Month between the 1st ad 5th of each month you will NOT be charged. YES YOU ARE!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RIP OFF - SCAM - COMPANY
YOU WILL REGRET IT

I'm sorry, but many of the people who are complaining on this site are claiming that JustFab doesn't warn you that they take out a monthly fee... WRONG! I was going to sign up to it when there was a good offer advertised but when proceeding to checkout I saw that to get that deal I would be signing up for a monthly subscription with a fee regardless of whether I actually got any shoes that month. It wasn't until late on in the sign up process but it was clearly stated and it also says it at various other points on the website. I didn't sign up to this service so I cannot comment on customer services, product quality or other issues, but I would like to argue against all the people claiming "it doesn't tell you" - it does, so it is your own fault if you are stupid enough to sign up to something without reading it through. I'm not talking about it being hidden in the small print of the T&Cs as no one reads that! It says it during the sign up process so it is your own fault for falling for it.

Disgusted, do not trust this company. An innocent purchase, where I didn't even ask to be a vip but to the offer of £9 turns out to be a charge each month of £35 from your bank account!

Absolutely disgusted with this company.
Please beware!
They offer u a vip offer of £9 for your first order but don't make it clear that each month £35 WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT EACH MONTH.
I told the advisor that I was recording the conversation in which she said she WOULD cancel my order with this she then said due to data protection she had to end the call. God knows whos data protection because it was my account I wanted cancelled.
I have made it clear with my bank NOT TO ALLOW ANY PAYMENTS TO THE Company.
My advice would be to stay clear..

justfab.co.uk tricks people into signing up to a £35 PER MONTH SUBSCRIPTION called "VIP Member".

If you have been scammed, get your debit/credit card company to refund you. If paid via paypal, start a paypal dispute to get your money back. DO NOT LET THEM RIP YOU OFF. Report them to trading standards for good measure.

If you read the terms, they clearly state the monthly "fee". However, it is not even a fee... if you read the terms you will see that you can skip the month and not be charged any fees. If you forget to skip the month, well that is on you, and YOUR stupidity... do you forget to pay your bill due the same time every month? Most like not. Well, all you have to do is remember to log in by the 5th and select skip the month. They even send you more than one email as a reminder. You can skip as many times as you want, but remain a VIP member so when you do want to get a pair, you pay the VIP price. I've been a member for years and skip more months than not. I've had to return one pair and did it within the allowed time and received my credit to use on another pair. No actual cash refund, but again, you are told this in the terms. If that is not got enough, than pay retail somewhere else. Don't spew negative comments just because you didn't read the terms (which is your own responsibility to do for anything),

Tip for consumers:
Read the terms, skip by the 5th, make returns within the allotted time.

So like most others I bought a pair if boots for £9. Unknowing doing so you subscribe to a £35 a month the fee. The boots came and was a size too small even though they sent the size I asked for.

Tried to cancel my subscription which seems impossible. So with credits I have on the account I decided to try another pair in a bigger size... So with 2 credits on my account I can't use both at once I can only use one and pay the difference with 5 to 7 working day delivery... When I tried to use 3 day delivery I had to pay the full amount of £42... Not only this when it comes to sales you can't use your credits unless its none sale items... You can't use promotional codes on anything you want to use with your credits... This site is absolutely disgusting for the amount of money it takes out of your account monthly... I currently have a reminder on my phone to remember to skip a month I won't give in I will get out of the con artist subscription... Definitely don't recommend this site to anyone I'd give it minus points if it was possible

Am afraid my partner was scammed as with everyone else, took £35 a month from my account for over a year (I believed it was a bill), DO NOT USE, I have been unable to get refund from them, they don't follow complaints procedure, they refused to liaise with an ombudsman service, and neglected to pay me back eventhough we made 1 purchase and have never even logged on to the site. My only choice is small claims court which I am in the middle, for the sake of £455 they can have the bad publicity in court!

JUSTFAB IS A LIE. AND A TRAP. They do not stop lying and catching you out. The whole thing is a scam. First they drag you in with a good deal - this is only a good deal because they then take £35 out your account every month. This £35 can be spent as 'credit'. BUT. They lie about the price - they show a price for one type of member which is a lot cheaper than another hidden price. It is really badly laid out so it's hard to tell what the price is at checkout. They just showed me a coat for £31.48. I had my £35 credit so I thought i'd use it. Just checked my account and they've charged me another £27 because the coat is actually £62.95. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE SCREWED ME OVER, IT IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF ONE TIME. DO NOT BOTHER, IT IS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND KEEP AWAY.

If I could give it a minus score I would. Ordered a pair of shoes, which didn't fit so had to refund. Once asking for a refund I was informed I was a VIP member, which I had automatically been signed up for without informing me after ordering the shoes. I then found out this membership takes £35 a month from your account unless you skip the boutique your assigned for that month. How am I meant to skip a boutique when I wasn't aware I had this membership or that it meant there's a monthly charge? So I then deleted my account immediately, which I asked them to do, I got confirmation via email that they had done this to them find they've still charged me for this month, regardless of the fact I cancelled my account weeks ago! I was then told to hold on the line after calling them to resolve this, when I told her I didn't want to be put on hold when it costs to call from uk to Asia she said okay just please hold, after explaining again she explained that they would resolve this phone call cost issue and didn't. They trick people in to a membership so they can take monthly fees without the customers being aware and do this buy advertising 'first pair for £9'. Complete scam, avoid at all costs.

I bought a pair of boots from them back in February, as i was curious and a bit tempted by their £10 boots sale. I had to make an account to order them (not unusual, so OK), and they arrived in a timely fashion. Unfortunately they didn't fit and i had to send them back. No problems there, got a full refund- all good.

HOWEVER, today i noticed a payment to them on my paypal for £35 and was confused. As it turns out they automatically signed me up to some nonsense VIP programme that charges £35 a month! Underhanded, and appalling tactics from the company, and now I have to ring them up to cancel it because you can't even do it online.

So much money wasted on absolutely nothing as I've never even looked at the site since ordering and returning those boots, and no email notifications to speak of letting me know I'm being charged such a HUGE fee!

I'll be warning everyone I know to stay the hell away from them from now on, and Rest assured they will be getting an angry phone call from me in the morning (assuming there is anyone even there to answer it). SCAM COMPANY!

EDIT: after calling the company they have refunded my Paypal account the money they stole, so I advise all other victims to call them up and be polite but FIRM with them, and DO NOT accept the store credit that they will offer. I said no to that and then after the lady had another word with her supervisor, she said they will refund me in full. They have also closed my account completely so I never have to deal with them again. Result!

Copied from my status on Facebook, don't back down and know your rights. My bank have also pulled the payment back as they are awesome (and well within their rights to do so).

Just had an interesting phonecall. I ordered some boots from Just Fab last month. Unbeknowns to me, I apparently entered into a membership upon doing so and didn't know until they took £35 from my bank.

Promptly calling them I explained I didn't see anywhere that stated I was entering into this during the purchasing process.

She told me I'd have been emailed. I advised again, during the purchasing process, I was not informed.

She advised that it is under the terms and conditions.

I advised again, at no point was I informed of this before in big, flashy letters or during the purchasing process that I was entering into this and I'd like my money back.

She advised that they were crediting it as a store balance and I can use it to spend on the site.

I asked if this would start the membership up again.

She advised I could spend it online, skirted the membership question.

I informed her I'd like a refund.

She told me company policy says they can't refund people.

I was getting annoyed by this point and called bull$#*!. Told her watchdog hate this kind of thing where you're basically duped into membership and that I know for a fact she can refund me.

She told me she couldn't.

I suggested gently that I want the £35 back in my bank or I'd be a little more than pissed off.

She refunded me.

First thing, I am impress with the quality of their clothing! I bough their white mesh bodycon dress and the cloth feels very soft cotton unlike other brands that you buy in actual store. I bought a flat sandals too and its a bit small for me although its size 7 US and Size 5 in UK which should be the right size but for some reason its a bit small. Comfy rating of the sandal ill give it 3/5.

Secondly, package delivery it took atleast 5 days that includes weekends (sat and sun) which is pretty fast for normal delivery. If I have bought my stuff by monday, It will probably arrive at my door by wed or thurs.

Third and Last! I ordered my stuff on justfab before reading all the reviews and honestly I panicked about the company taking my money without my permission or scam. I mean who would want to get scam right? But I read their faqs and terms and condition again jut to make my mind clear and there I understood how justfab actually works! It clearly states there that skipping a month on the 1st-5th of the month will prevent you from taking a membership payment which is surprisingly for me that people dont actually read the faqs and also when you receive your package they will also place a piece of paper inside and on top of your stuff saying how VIP member works and skipping a month procedure. So for me, how could people miss that out? It just shows how people can be so stupid sometimes and easy for them to blame the company because they lost £35. If people use their brains and take a minute to read how VIP membership works, they could save their self from unwanted charges!

Well where do I start?
2 for £35... load of bullcrap this deal did not work on 1 of my 5 purchases.
They take £35 from your account every month, I did not read clearly so yes that is my fault but every month of you having this account the money will be withdrawn and sometimes they have the cheek to take the money more than once.
Delivery is awful takes about a week.
Also the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced, told no numerous times when I asked for my money back because I did not want shoes and because the website would crash when I tried to skip the month. I have 5 pairs of shoes from this website only 1 I willingly paid for the rest I was forced into picking a pair or that money would have gone out the window.
Then when I tried to cancel my account they always spoke their way out of it and wouldn't let me. Today I had a live chat and asked for a verification email to make sure it was cancelled was told to wait 24-48 hours before I received one.
If it wasn't such hard work would have taken this rip off company to court and sued for all those having money they cannot afford to be taken with little or no permission.

Bought a pair of shoes in March - didn't sign up for ANYTHING! Was told by a friend (luckily!) that this was a subscription - called to cancel 13th April assured by person on the phone that NO further money would be taken - woke today to find they've taken £35 out my account! Called AGAIN & assured the £35 would be refunded withing 5 days & no further money will be taken but not holding my breath! A absolute con & an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

Cannot slate this company enough! Like many others, I was unaware that I had signed up for the VIP membership and was being debited from my credit card every month for 9 months! I was furious and phoned the company immediately to cancel the account. When I phoned up I was told that I was to pay a ridiculous charge per minute for the phone call, in which the sales assistant kept me on for a very long time. I could hardly understand a word she was saying, but what I did get was that she was trying to take every action possible for me not to cancel the account, even though I kept telling her that that was all I wanted to do! Eventually she cancelled it and I left it at that. However, to my disgust, I checked my account only to find that it had been debited this month after I cancelled it last month! I am going to phone the company and give them havoc. While some supporters of the site argue that it is our responsibility to read the terms, which I agree, being charged AGAIN after I had CANCELLED my account is certainly not a fault on my behalf. In addition, the shoes were poorly made and a pair of wedges I bought, which looked beautiful, were damaged after one wear, and all i did was go food shopping!

Like many others I hadn't fully appreciated that I had signed up to the VIP membership, I possibly should have been paying more attention to what I was doing but the shoes were pretty and I got excited. But here's where my experience differs, I found cancelling the membership quick, easy and painless. Yes, the girl on the other end was trying to offer me further discounts to try and get me to stay but I politely explained that I couldn't justify it, nor would I want to bother to remember every month to opt out of buying the shoes. It must have taken 5 minutes from the end of the phone call to receive an email confirming my no-longer VIP status.

The girl I talked to did seem to be reading from a script, but so do many places; she still was friendly, polite and did understand my reasons for leaving.

The only reason I'm giving them a 3 stars is because my shoes won't be here for another 3-5 days and I don't know what the quality to be like; but at £8 (and I'll only be wearing them once) I can't really complain.

If there was a 0 star rating I would
If there was a 0 star rating I would have honestly gone with that. The way I've been treated by JustFab is disgusting and unprofessional. Any review that is over a 1 Star rating on here must be fake, or made by a colleague that works for them.
I've spent days/weeks/months trying to resolve a problem with JustFab I had been told I could return the clothes I ordered in exchange for my money back, as I found the clothes are so cheaply made and not worth even 1 penny of my hard earned money, to then being told I'm not aloud any of my money back but can only return my clothes for store credits (in which you HAVE to spend it on their cheaply made clothes, even if there isn't one thing that you find remotely eye catching or pleasing) I've had numerous conversations with different people that work for JustFab, over email, JustFab chat and on the phone and each of them have all told me different things. I was returned some of my money by a lovely gentlemen that understood my frustration, and understood that to not return my money it would be completely ridiculous (as it is my money after all). So I just want to say to anyone considering signing up to this scam do NOT waste your time!

If 0 stars was an option I would definitely choose that. My experience with JustFab started back in October when I bought a pair of boots from them for a very low price of £8.75. The boots arrived, I don't wear them but I didn't want the agro of returning them for the sake of 8 pounds. Since then I forgot all about them, it's only recently I've discovered they've been taking £35 out of my account for the last five months (sincoriginsl purchase). I've gone back and forward with emails to a different person everytime, all saying the same crap that when I purchased the first item I was made a "VIP" member (something that isn't made clear enough from the start)
So like many others I fell into the trap of JustFab)

Eventually I rang them and couldn't understand a word of the lady speaking, she again repeated what all the emails had said, obviously reading it off a screen, not letting me get a word in. It wasn't until I threatened to quit as a member that she offered me a refund. I am now cancelling my card so they can't take anymore money and then my account. This "mistake" of mine cost me £175 so don't fall into the trap of this $#*!e company!

When trying to return my parcel, I rang at least 10 times over a period of two days to organise a time for my parcel to be collected and not once did anyone answer. I finally got through to someone via the online chat service, where I was told my parcel would be picked up on the Wednesday. I spent all of Wednesday from 9am-6pm as I was told these were the delivery hours and no one came to pick up my parcel. I contacted them the following day and was told that no arrangement had been made for my parcel to be picked up, so it was 'rearranged' to the following week. It was picked up, but it has now been over one week and I still haven't received a refund so I am quite worried! Also, when I looked into it, the 'VIP member' which I was automatically signed up to when I made a purchase meant that each month £35 is deducted from your account, and if you don't pend this online then the money isn't returned! When I tried to cancel this, they kept asking me why I would want to cancel this, and I politely told them I didn't want to be a member. They were very persistent, and I finally managed to cancel it after a 10 minute unnecessary and costly phone call. I think its a complete scam and definitely wouldn't recommend using this website!
