The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by consistent customer dissatisfaction regarding healthcare services. Many reviews highlight severe delays in accessing care, inadequate communication, and a perceived lack of genuine concern from healthcare providers, leading to feelings of neglect among patients. While some customers have had positive experiences with specific doctors and care teams, these instances are overshadowed by widespread complaints about systemic issues, including bureaucratic inefficiencies and poor management of patient needs. The general sentiment indicates a pressing need for improvement in service quality and patient-centered care practices.

Their hands are tied by trying to save money. You have to try the cheapest alternatives first before you can move onto effective treatments. You are their research gunnypig. They will overcharge. Too bad if you don't catch it. They have no accountability. They employ doctors known for poor performance and won't get rid of them. Any complaint/grievance has no follow up. It just goes right into the receptacle called the cloud - never to be seen or followed up on again.
It is absolutely disappointing to see how bad Kaiser is for its members. None of their doctors or new patient will read the system if a patient is transferring over from another carrier. I had to call over 20+ to get an appointment and still took another 5 calls to finally get an appointment. A complaint was filed with Kaiser Grievance department and they are also not available or will not call back to customer. What's the use of paying $1800 in premium for a platinum package where the services?
The doctors and staff at Kaiser has access to EPIC system which is connected to other healthcare provider. They DONT GIVE A DAMN OF learning about the patients prior history or approvals to smoothen out and speeding up the new onboarding process. Instead they want to dictacte what they want a patient to take as a medication. My wife missed her 20th week examination because Kaiser cannot get us an appointment. Now I am missing my diabetes medication because they want to do their own review and not read the prior doctors notes from another institution. This is absolute BS and lot of rework...
My personal opinion and feedback. Get better care by paying more and less rework... My familys health is more important than the buerarcy that goes on at Kaiser... So I AM OUT OF KAISER and going back to where I came from... Rather pay more than be stressed and frustrated...
I'm never really sick, but now that I am, I can't reach my doctor or ANY doctor at that. It's like a nightmare, and if I make it out of this alive I will be so thankful. It's as though you're left fending for yourself with your healthcare. You have to guess a lot because they don't answer you back
I spent 7 months of telling multiple Doctors at Kaiser that I was in pain and need to find out what was wrong. The reply I keep getting was your fine and no I won't give you pain meds. Did I ask for paine meds... no I did not, I do not like them pain meds.
After 7 months of pain and near sleepless nights, my symptoms got worse that I called a Kaiser Dr told me to go to nearest hospital. I went to different hospital and they discover a tumor in my spine that was slowly paralyzing me. I only got better because I went some where other then Kaiser.
3 years I've been a Medicare Advantage member of Kaiser Washington. My complaints are two.
First, I cannot get timely access to the care I need - now taking November appointments for chronic pain that I've been seen for three years. Second, the doctors I see are not helping me. I am worse off today than I was before joining Kaiser 3 years ago. Kaiser is concerned with managing costs to the exclusion of offering greater coverage and access to providers. Senior management has been asleep at the wheel and I don't see anything positive on the horizon for this organization, so I will be shopping around during the upcoming open enrollment period. Too bad they cannot get their operation up to speed - it's a great idea.
Regards.
Kaier is all about profits not paitent care. They have cancelled three of my appoints.
Asked for a refill of medince. Two weeks ago, still no response.
DONT USE THIS COMPNAY OF HEALTHCARE. THEY ARE THE WORST!
I've been trying to call a consulting nurse for a health concern of mine and I've been on hold for 2 hours and 30 minutes
Drs are not available for weeks(6weeks) I arm in pain after lab tech poked my vein. I experienced arm later fingers. Dr wu plays it off to coincidence. Didn't offer any relief. Only appt 30 days later to see specialist. Meanwhile I continue suffering with sometimes excruciating pain.
I tried calling the pharmacy and talk to a HUMAN instead of the COMPUTER! I could not get through to have my daughter's prescription filled cause I can't do it over the phone! I had to call the appointment line and speak to a representative and she put me through. Your phone system sucks! I cannot call and speak to anyone at any department! Where are all the admins.
Trying to get an appointment isn't very good. Appointments timing are impossible to get. A week is good but a 3 week wait not good. I had this problem for over a 6 months.
The pharmacy at colonial Forge will only fill 80% of my prescription for insulin from my doctor and then they tell me to get it refilled two weeks earlier but that will cost me $100 every time I get it filled so I have to come up with more money to fill a prescription that the doctor has written
The hospital is not clean the staff is rude especially in emerging. Do not have your medication mail from this hospital it takes three weeks to receive your medication. If you`re in any kind of pain forget it they will give you nothing. I asked them for a walking cane because my leg has swollen the reply i got was I won't give you anything! This was in the emergency room
I am very disappointed and very frustrated with Dermatology Department at Kaiser. If you have any choice on health care do not use Kaiser. There is nothing I can say as a positive from diagnosis to treatment to responsiveness. They are like a bad auto mechanic searching for a short term fix to get you out of the garage. I have had a serious rash for over a year now with no real improvement based on treatment from Kaiser even though I have followed and complied with all their many experimentations including biopsies, light treatment, ointments etc. Now the prescribed Betamethasone is taking a toll on my skin, it has become brittle. For some reason they will not prescribe Dupixent, so now I am again waiting on the next experiment for my skin. If I could get insurance elsewhere I would but I am locked into Kaiser. I'm sure with the number of patients they see this is not a big deal, but it is to me and there is just no sense of urgency on their part to help me resolve this issue. Terrible compassion from medical providers.
Nurses don't listen and get lost in their algorithm systems. Don't collect a full assessment of issue and then never even make an appointment. Kaiser needs more doctors to give in person appointments and less desensitized phone monkey nurses.
I saw the Dr 4/7/2022 for preliminary testing for cataract surgery; I was told that someone would call to schedule an appointment for the next step. No one has called. I have called the appointment desk 5/20; 6/22; 6/24; and 6/29. No one has contacted me yet. I even wrote a letter to the Dr. 5/29 because I did not know what else to do. I need new glasses, I cannot drive, I cannot get a new prescription because I need cataract surgery on both eyes before anyone will even attempt to prescribe new lens but I cannot get anything done because no one will schedule the next step needed to continue on to actual cataract surgery. As a last resort I will need to seek another medical provider who will provide me with the necessary medical services.
Only insurance we can take. Horrible, life threating treatment by their "doctors". The doctors are immigrants from other countries that haven't gotten their license in the USA yet. They do not know how to treat my disease and they almost killed me in surgery. Got sexually harassed by two male laboratory techs. Pharmacy lacks modern drugs, and doctors don't perform modern procedures. Bad service all around. Please take to any other insurance; this place is only for the desperate!
Doctors at kiaser are owned by there employer the kiaser insurance company. Do you really want this conflict of interest when it comes to your health. No need to see a doctor I can already tell you their diagnosis. Abdominal pain anywhere = IBS or your fat. Hurt your back or arm = sprain or your fat. Foot leg or hip problem = stretch or maybe your fat. Mental health issue = lol how about a group session with a rando "counselor". Pain = No that's in your $#*!ing head how about some more IBUPROFEN if that Don't work your not really in pain! Save your Money and your life and pick ANY OTHER OPTION YOU HAVE
First went there with a court order for therapy for my daughter after her father lost custody. I told them I can fax over the court ordered therapy as well as the paperwork stating I have full custody. I was told over the phone "maybe don't send the court ordered therapy part, just send the paperwork that you have full custody" (Which is all one report by the way). When I got there in person they told me the therapist decided if their patients need therapy and then they receive mental health services. The fact that they evade responsibility of needing to follow a court order is not a good sign. Also went there just for a pre-employment health screening and they had me spend 25 minutes in the Kaiser North Bay building for Kaiser employee health checks instead of room 128 in the medical office area. I was told they have back to back appointments and I would have to reschedule after being sent to the wrong place in the hospital.
Quality of Service is Horrible at Best
1. I keep my appointment time, but the wait time is more than 30 min every time.
2. RE: Injection Clinique at Homestead, Santa Clara, is bad. They don't pick up the phone. I left the message to return calls, but they don't. I tried again and get message saying that their message box is full and cannot take any more messages.
This is horrible service. I am considering changing my provider.
I pleaded with over a dozen doctors for help for months while I cared for my dying in-law. They reluctantly offered group counseling. I went to the first available appointment, was told I was too upset to participate, removed from the group, and my belongings were never returned. Nobody in any sector of administration or security ever returned my calls. I reported it to the police, and Kaiser responded by sending the police to my house for a welfare check. As if they cared now… after months of my pleading for help. They were trying to cover their lying butt. I tried endlessly to get help about their treatment, about stealing my things, about anything, and they caused so much more mental damage by gaslighting me that I have PTSD just driving by their buildings.
Answer: Scam. I left a review of my personal experience on a different posts. Basically they don't mind taking money from you as long as you don't need help.
