Kia Finance has been a nightmare. "customer service" hangs up after you've waited hours on hold, days in a row. When they finally answer and don't initially hang-up, they transfer your calls to 5 different departments then hang up again, but not before you answer the same questions you answered with the last 4 representatives and not before you give a run down of what you're calling about just like you did with the last 4 reps, only to be told they can't answer the question you didn'task.
They DO NOT listen to your needs, even after you repeat them 5 different ways. They refuse to actually hear what you're saying.
Their site won't allow me to make payments on my 2 Kias after I've been leasing & making payments online for 8-yrs. Instead of attempting to correct the issue they charge me $7 × 2 to make phone payments. Now I have to do it again this month bc their online payment feature is not working for me still. There is no person you can talk to that doesn't have a super thick accent that is very difficult to understand when the connection is always fuzzy due to what I assume is because they transferr their calls to another country. Fuzzy connection or thick accent, pick one, not both because both make accomplishing anything nearly impossible.
At one point they falsley claimed I didn't make my final payments on my first leased Kia's but the cars were traded in one month early so no there were no payments due on those cars. The false claim prevented me from buying a house that year, literally. No preapproval until the mark was removed from my credit. It took me a year to get it off credit with VERY little help from Kia Finance. A year of fighting. All that time and energy towards something that never was. No apology no compensation. Nothing but headaches.
Another time they charged me a dollar more per payment than agreed upon with the dealership but they did it at a time that was last minute and I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to be without a leased car until it got solved.
The last two payments I made over the phone I had extra fees listed...I had to pay $24 extra, per car, but no one could tell why but they could tell me that if I didn't make payment in full, mystery fees included, my accounts would be considered past due & reported.

Kia Motors Finance has a rating of 1.1 stars from 299 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Kia Motors Finance most frequently mention customer service, auto pay, and business days problems. Kia Motors Finance ranks 65th among Loans sites.
I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with Kia Finance, a company that, in my opinion, provides the worst customer service imaginable. The employees are uncooperative and refuse to engage in meaningful communication. They pick and choose which questions to answer, often ignoring the most critical ones. Additionally, I encountered multiple instances where they attempted to provide false or misleading information, which made me feel deceived. Even during the contract signing process, they were already engaging in dishonest practices, misleading creditors and hiding important details. It's shocking how little they care about transparency or treating their customers fairly. Instead of offering help or clarity, they seem more interested in manipulating the situation to their advantage. I would not recommend Kia Finance to anyone seeking an honest and reliable financial partner.
Did a lease buyout April 2021 and after sending an odometer statement three times and calling every month for a year, I still do not have my title. You cannot talk to a supervisor, everyone gives you a different excuse for why they are so lame, and still nothing! After a year of calls and telling me the have mailed it to me, they now say it's still in process? Screw you, Kia! Do not use them for financing!

Unhappy with service I received RE: payoff. Said total owed 232.04 Paid that then got late notice saying I owed more but was unable to see online or on phone I was told I couldnt see because my contract was up. Then they charged me an $8.00 fee as I paid it on phone? If I couldnt pay online why be penalized for paying on phone And why not put right total that was owed Very disappointed This will be my last Kia

My payoff balance is ******* dollars but they want me to pay market value after leasing for 2 1/2 years ******* dollars a real RIP off even my progressive agent told them on phone that it was unfair of Kia but no help just buyers beware of Kia finance.

Beware of the $400 "lease termination" fee that you will never escape... even if you lease another... it just gets tacked on to the end of the next. Then they have an incompetent return company that is an epic nightmare to see what "additional wear and tear" fees they are charging you with. They sent a non-functional link for the damage which after a month of trying to get the actual photos for a small scrape on the bottom of the wheel well, they finally sent it direct as the links never worked.
By the way, KIA is owned by Hyundai... so needless to say, you lease one or the other and you get the same crooks.

The title has an electronic lien on it which we have talked to many people. No one has helped us. We have papers from Kia Finance verifying that they have no longer interest in our car. Do not finance with Kia Motor as you can't get your title or any help in getting it.

I never going to lease again from KIA or Hyundai. My car was total loss, If i want to buy pay off was $******* but insurance offered $*******. Kia wants to keep all $*******. So now i have to buy another vehicle for $******* over sticker. I spoke to ford and Toyota. They said they always return the difference back to the register owner. Kia and Hyundai steals from customers! Never do business with them again!
Tip for consumers:
They steal from total loss settlement.

Literally the worst finance company I've ever dealt with. Would give 0 starts if I could. From customer service to financing, terrible. No one knows anything, they lose payments, your told a million different things, account notes and phone calls lost, not helpful in any way, received two statements in a year and a half and both were incorrect, put other people's car and card info on my account, lie, etc. DO NOT USE THEM

Worst customer service ever. It is taking 6 weeks to get my title. My check cleared on November 16. I still don't have my title. I've lost one sale of the vehicle and now may lose another. This is ridiculous. I've spoken with customer service at least a dozen times, given them my fedex number for them to fedex it to me and nothing. Now they are trying to tell me that my title might be lost in the mail. Oh, and the person on the phone today tells me that there is no FedEx account number attached to my account even though I've given it to them at least twice.

Since the pandemic it has been a NIGHTMARE trying to get in touch with customer service. If you've been financially impacted by COVID you must fill out a form and email them. They do NOT respond and nor do they care. They pretty much say figure it out or make 6 consistent monthly payments and you'll generate a one month forbearance. How is that fair? How is that helpful? The most they could do for me was to give me a grace period of 7 days to come up with the money? My husband lost his job. I'm the only source of income to pay for everything along with expenses for my 8 year old stepson. They are heartless and complete garbage humans and company.

I lost my job due to COVID-19 and made Kia motors finance aware of the situation. I communicated several times and made payment arrangements when I could borrow money from relatives or friends while waiting for unemployment insurance. How do they expect customers to make payments on time during this damn pandemic?! Despite my tireless efforts, those bastards still repossessed my vehicle! F*ck Kia motors finance! They are money-grubbing blood suckers who don't give a f*ck about customers or your hardships!

I will never buy another Kia ever, their customer service sucks! I wasn't given inaccurate information and now being penalized because of it. They have no commitment to upholding the "great" reputation they tout. Never again!

Please if you buy a kia Do Not! Use this finance company! Totaled out my car and trying to file my gap insurance claim and two months down the rd they still haven't gotten all documents needed. After many! Calls and talking to supervisors they give me same poop! We'll submit this to the appropriate department. Ask for number to call directly I'm told they don't have it. Please save yourself grief use different finance company cause this company just completely doesn't care!

I have been waiting since February 3rd for Kia to get my insurance company a lien release form so they could pay the total loss claim. Both me and the insurance company have tried numerous times to speak to the lien department and no one ever returns calls or emails. But guess what they still want their payment every month until it is resolved. I would not use them again ever.

My husband passed April 1 2021 and we paid Kia every month. I became crippled and can't drive. Trying to get a payoff form them for probate Superior Court. A bankruptcy was discharged March 2020 but they were paid. Now without if income and I need that info on their letterhead. Pro
Isdc info many times and faxed info in and lied to every time. Then to it would take 2 billing cycles. I need it within 90 days of death. Liars and thief. I'm done and they can pick it up if I can't get Superior Probate Court to demand the info. Being nice to your face and lie like hell.

I have been paying without any delays for the past one year, and for this month October 2022, I requested them to move my payment from 11th to 17th, only a week, because of some delay in my pay cheque. They said they cannot help.

I've been a great customer and now during covid I lost my job and they won't even wave late fees. They care more about profit instead of their customers. No compassion, no empathy. I will never buy from them again!
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from them!

I've never in my life been screwed around by a company like this. They are scam artists. Totaled my car back in early august, KIA won't release the documents to close this out, in return they are charging me for every month. Every representative and manager is incompetent, places blame on others, rude, and if you challenge them about it they will hang up on you. They have been a complete nightmare. Its theft.

Trying to deal with Kia finance going through some problems with the auto strike going on. They're not helpful at all. They keep going back to they understand that. It's a tough time in the auto industry right now. But they keep just wanting their money. So tell your friends tell everybody. Do not go with Kia finance, Canada.

This company doesn't even deserve 1 star. After a horrible accident, my husband's car was totaled, we went through the steps to have insurance and GAP pay the balance. We forwarded everything requested and it got lost somewhere. After 7 months or so, I got hit with a 50 point credit score reduction for "failure to pay". Not once did I get a letter, phone call, anything asking for a payment. They told me I have a 6 month courtesy window AFTER it was reported. All we had left was like 1000 dollars. I would've paid that had I known this company would ruin my credit! I have called, pleaded, begged for them to remove it as I did everything that was asked and responded immediately to the report- and they haven't resolved the issue. They even made it worse by reporting it as a "charge off" after it was Paid. And don't you know they sent me a refund for more than the balance when gap finally paid? These are terrible people and I wish I never had the misfortune of dealing with them.

**BUYER BEWARE** do your research before financing through Kia Motors, your lucky if you ever get the title to your car after you pay it off. So many complaints of kia not releasing them as lien holder and never receiving the title. My car has been paid off since 2014 and I've never gotten the title, car was totalled and I'm trying to get a check from the insurance co. Can't file for a lost title because kia hasn't released themselves as lien holder which is a common complaint. Still getting the run a round from kia motor finance months later. Kia get your crap together and send me my title this is ridiculous
Date of experience: December 28, 2020
Upon paying off my vehicle the title department sent the title to my bank only because the cashier's check had my bank's name on it. Now they are saying that they can send me a copy of the title but of course it takes 5-7 days to process it. What a bunch of BS!
Tip for consumers:
Do not use Kia Motor Finance to finance your vehicle...you'll be sorry in the end.

I have paid off the loans three months ago but I have not received either a title or a lien of release form. I keep calling them every other week, but they said I should call them again and again until I get them. I don't think this is what a customer service usually does, just ridiculous!
Date of experience: August 15, 2020
Paid off my vehicle as I was trading it in. Need a signed letter stating it is paid off and kia customer service keeps sending the same thing over and over. No signature even though the agent assured me that they will put it in the request. Attempts to talk to someone that actually writes these letters was thwarted by a customer service supervisor who also refused to help me by sitting down and writing one of these letters on their professional letterhead. That all it would have taken is maybe 5 minutes to say my vehicle was paid in full. Now I'm sitting in limbo in Germany with the car dealership asking me every day if I have deregistered it yet and I have to tell them I am working on it. Never buy a Kia using Kia Finance. Sure everything is great until you get rid of the vehicle. They haven't even sent the title yet. Just a photo copy of the original with them as the lien holder still.
