Kia Finance has been a nightmare. "customer service" hangs up after you've waited hours on hold, days in a row. When they finally answer and don't initially hang-up, they transfer your calls to 5 different departments then hang up again, but not before you answer the same questions you answered with the last 4 representatives and not before you give a run down of what you're calling about just like you did with the last 4 reps, only to be told they can't answer the question you didn'task.
They DO NOT listen to your needs, even after you repeat them 5 different ways. They refuse to actually hear what you're saying.
Their site won't allow me to make payments on my 2 Kias after I've been leasing & making payments online for 8-yrs. Instead of attempting to correct the issue they charge me $7 × 2 to make phone payments. Now I have to do it again this month bc their online payment feature is not working for me still. There is no person you can talk to that doesn't have a super thick accent that is very difficult to understand when the connection is always fuzzy due to what I assume is because they transferr their calls to another country. Fuzzy connection or thick accent, pick one, not both because both make accomplishing anything nearly impossible.
At one point they falsley claimed I didn't make my final payments on my first leased Kia's but the cars were traded in one month early so no there were no payments due on those cars. The false claim prevented me from buying a house that year, literally. No preapproval until the mark was removed from my credit. It took me a year to get it off credit with VERY little help from Kia Finance. A year of fighting. All that time and energy towards something that never was. No apology no compensation. Nothing but headaches.
Another time they charged me a dollar more per payment than agreed upon with the dealership but they did it at a time that was last minute and I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to be without a leased car until it got solved.
The last two payments I made over the phone I had extra fees listed...I had to pay $24 extra, per car, but no one could tell why but they could tell me that if I didn't make payment in full, mystery fees included, my accounts would be considered past due & reported.

Kia Motors Finance has a rating of 1.1 stars from 299 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Kia Motors Finance most frequently mention customer service, auto pay, and business days problems. Kia Motors Finance ranks 65th among Loans sites.
I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with Kia Finance, a company that, in my opinion, provides the worst customer service imaginable. The employees are uncooperative and refuse to engage in meaningful communication. They pick and choose which questions to answer, often ignoring the most critical ones. Additionally, I encountered multiple instances where they attempted to provide false or misleading information, which made me feel deceived. Even during the contract signing process, they were already engaging in dishonest practices, misleading creditors and hiding important details. It's shocking how little they care about transparency or treating their customers fairly. Instead of offering help or clarity, they seem more interested in manipulating the situation to their advantage. I would not recommend Kia Finance to anyone seeking an honest and reliable financial partner.
My car was totaled out in September 1922. Kia told me I need to continue to make my payments until the insurance company settled with them. Insurance company continued to send them payments for settlement and for whatever reason it wasn't good enough. So I ended up making my payments for 10 months. In July 2023 Kia finally told me to quit making payments. So once they settled with my insurance company which was in September 2023. They reimbursed me for six of my payments. They have given me the runaround since then about the other payments they owe. I've talked to supervisor after supervisor. They sent emails to the supervisors. They sent it to escalation a dozen times. I need to know who I can get a hold of above a supervisor. I would never deal with this company again. It has been an absolute nightmare.

I wish I could rate 0/5.
Firstly, the customer service representatives are unempathetic towards anything other than reading a little handbook by their bedroom of an office (I'm certain it must be luxurious).
If you ask them to help you out they sound equivelent to a robot on the phone, stating they have an identification requirement and that they can't waive a simple $8.00 fee.
This company is going under, their reviews are awful, posted publicly, and it doesn't seem to be getting better huh.
Oh well...
Let them play the ego game until they go under, and it'll be ironic to see them go down.
This isn't done in anger, this is done in legitimate anger.
These companies are so hungry, they scam other hungry people.
But if a Lion steals from a Hyena, a Pack of 30 Hyenas will pounce on that 1 Lion.

It has been close to 4 months now and KMF has "lost" my monthly payments to the point of 2 repossession notices and a negative impact on my credit. I've sent them proof that my bank account has been debited accordingly each time, spoke to several people, and yet there's been no movement.
As many else here, we've been getting consistently brushed aside by promises of "corrections" and callbacks from supervisors that never come. Their Tier 1 Support has been dismissive and insultingly accusatory. "Unprofessional" is an understatement.
If you visited this site with the intent of doing research before purchase, heed all the reviews here. KMF's way of doing business will leave a long term negative impact on you and your credit report.

As the title describes it. Plus 300%... plain and simple. I bought a 2020 kia soul, and boy do I regret it, when the Covid 19 hit, they where the worst to deal with. Ally Financial which I owe money to, never treated me like KMF did, they gave me 3 moths payment extension in 5 minutes, no begging or anything like that.
While KMF (thats Kia Motor Finance) Just turn their back on me and thousands more.
I was doing my payments on time, until hell broke loose on march 2020... but what was I gonna do without a job? Just like any one else I had to choose between providing for my family or skip a few payments.
I'm still struggling and I, m still trying to fulfill my responsibilities. That is no reason to treat customers like scumbags KMF. Shame on you.
Based on my personal experience and many others, please, do your self a favor.
Use another finance company.

If you finance your Kia through this company you should say a quick prayer that you never are owed money by them, because you won't get it. I traded in my Sorento over 3 months ago and had $6k in equity that I am owed. Every time I call customer service I am told the payment processing department has my request but don't know when the check will be processed. Nobody there has their information straight, they are not helpful at all and I am at the point where I think my only choice is to pursue legal action. Stay away from this joke of a company.

Traded in my Kia Sportage for a Telluride. The dealership paid off the trade in but the finance company said they were short and sent me Statements to an address I no longer lived at. Then they sent it to collections -$989 balance - destroying my credit. I paid in full immediately and they continue to refuse to update my credit report. I would not recommend anyone purchase a Kia if financing through them. They customer support reps are extremely nasty and sarcastic. One finally put in their own dispute to fix their mistakes but the result was only some of the account was fixed. They will hang up on you despite having a civil conversation and give you the run around(say a lot of things without making any sense or offering a solution).

I see I'm not alone as I just read through a few other reviews here. We love our Telluride, but KMF has been a nightmare to deal with. I called them back in February to make them aware that the "online" balance amount in my payment history was incorrectly reflecting a balance of $0.00 (nice, but not true). In contrast the main account page showed I had an overdue balance. Neither of these were correct... and I was assured by customer service that it would not be an issue. Two months later I find out they reported a late payment for the month of March... this supposed late payment hit my credit for nearly 50 points. Wasted hours upon hours of calls to customer service and writing to KMF has my head spinning. You can't even call in anymore... goes directly to a message stating "high volume of calls"... "call back later". What a mess and I'm beyond angry that I need to waste my time to show them they were wrong. As soon as I get this mess sorted I will be refinancing this loan elsewhere.

I wish if I could say 0! Their customer service and finance are disaster. I called them 6 times already they say the same thing and they suppose to send me the documentation as email and they never did, every time I call them again "automatic call says they're busy and hanged up you have to call again", They already updated my information on their system for 2-3 times and every time I call them they say we don't have your address or phone number or email address. They don't take note on customers account and every time they have to start from beginning. I got very frustrated! That's the worth financial services ever! Don't take any lease or finance from this company! They just want your money at beginning of sale and right after they don't care! Their representative also are very rude to customers! Big company 0 customer service! DO NOT TAKE THE CAR FROM THEM!

KMF is by far the worst financial institution I've ever dealt with! I've been trying to acquire a simple document for the past three weeks to no avail. I've spoken to countless representatives and supervisors who are extremely incompetent at their job and are clueless when it comes to a simple request. I'm sick and tired of waiting 2-3 business days at a time just to be told that I need to wait another 2-3 or more business days just to get the same answers! Never again! Stay far away! So not finance through these people! They will give you the run around and tell you things inconsistent between different representatives. It shouldn't take 3 weeks to acquire a simple document.

Dont ever deal with Kia or Kia Fiance. They are the rudest and most unprofessional people i have ever felt with evening during the crisis going on in the world they do not go an extra inch to try to help or even transfer your calls instead they hang up. I have had 2 kias and everytime I was promised "no hidden fees or early return fees". Yet each time about 6 months after returning the cars I get a bill in the mail for hidden fees. Fiancé department answer to this is to hang up the phone and pretty tell you to deal with it. Worst department ever dealt with. There are so many other car brands that will treat you correct and with respect. Do not chose Kia.

I'm up to date on my car lease payments, but since the pandemic my hours have been reduced and I cant afford my lease anymore. Kia Motors finance will not let me turn it or offer me a way to give it back. They are horrible and I'll never do business with them again... and I'm a repeat customer. Screw those guys. In economic hardship, they say screw you. Remember that. My name is Lia Reid and I'm using this acct to spread the word.

Insurance company has called numerous time to pay totaled car off. KMF refuses to accept the payoff until okay is given from the buyer. IT has been given! I currently have another loan with KMF and will be looking for another vehicle this weekend. Dealing with them on top of doctors appointments is just added stress to an an already stressful situation. The customer service reps are rude and disrespectful to customers. Never again will I purchase a KIA!

I have a lease with Kia finance. I have had nothing but problems with customer service when there are problems but Kia has no problems slapping their customers with fees left and right if you're late because of things in life that happen many have little to no control over. When trying to fix the issue more fees are accrued. WTF is wrong with America!?! Everything is about how much green an individual has. Morals... well there just aren't any anymore. Needless to say I won't be doing business with kia or Hyundai ever again after this lease is up

If I could do zero stars I would. Nearly eight months of dealing with them and a claim is still not settled on a total loss when gap was included in my financing because they constantly fail to provide documents to insurance and who I was just told 8 months in CNA National. Told they have no documents after speaking to four people they magically have documents. Told they are sent over which has been said so many times, and told to check back in a week to "make sure documents were sent". Pretty sure it's Kia's way of just screwing people out of their gap coverage so they lose the ability to use it. The worst communication, customer service, and the company has no ability to maintain organization with documentation. They are the worst.

There should be a zero star rating for this Finance company. Mailed out state to state transfer and check twice and they still haven't received it. I need to send it a third time. You always have to reach out to them, they will not communicate anything back othherwise and will tell you that. Kia Finance only has one conversation on file for the last nearly three months. 10 days to receive a letter from them and I quote "four business days to receive an email." Completely unexceptable, Coming up on three months now. Stay away and save yourself grief and pain.

I had leased my vehicle for 4 years and always made my payments. Called to make my final payment, the rep verified my info, put me on hold then got back on the phone, and said you need to return your vehicle your lease is up. I told her oh shoot I though it was the end of this month. Walked outside to my car, and it was gone. Called the police thinking it was stolen, and nope, police department confirmed my car was repoed. Why?! I'm beyond frustrated and after panic called Kia and the my are closed for the evening. What a nightmare. I will not be getting another Kia. This is bogus. 2 weeks over my lease and my car was taken from me. And I'm very confused, why didn't the rep tell me these details when I called in the first place?!?!?

They took my final payment, cashed the check and two months later it shows up on my credit report as NOT PAID. They made mistake, did not bother to at least send a mail or call, took the money and now it apparently will take them 30 days to deal with it. Meanwhile my credit which was in high 800 dropped to low 600 over this problem. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT go to them!

KIA Finance is the worst finance company in the world to finance a car from. You can be a loyal customer and they don't care! I've called them twice with an issue I'm having and twice they advised they could not help me and did not cover the fact that they don't care. They are incompetent idiots and I will never recommend them to anyone EVER!

If you have any other way to finance your purchase I reccommend doing so. Clueless, rude, no understanding of customer service. Hours of my life I will not get back
Date of experience: January 18, 2024
With covid happening you would think that they would be more understanding about partial payments to try an catch up but no! But if it wasn't what they wanted i was turned away and told that I should wait. Why not take what I have so my balance won't be so high. They literally talk me out of paying. I don't know if its commission base when payments are called in or what but I dont think the smartest business choice is not taking what I have. Please don't get a car with this company

I had been with kia over 10 years. Brought 3 cars from them. They great as taking money but when it come to refund money, they never get it done. They will tell me to wait and it been months I never received my check. Never ever I will do business with kia again.
Date of experience: March 8, 2022
I have called numerous times over the pass 14 days to get assistance with state to state transfer. All the title *******@Kia had to do is fax the front and back of the title and fax it to the DMV. My DMV has faxed 5 requests to them to obtain this important information. As of today, nothing received from Kia Title Dept. My tags are expired I'm stranded in the new state I relocated to... and Kia doesn't really give a hoot. What does it take to get this information?
Date of experience: November 6, 2019
I've been working to get Kia to send my title to my state for a state to state transfer for the last nine weeks and are no further than when we started. Now my paper plates have expired and my state will not grant an extension unless Kia sends a faced letter stating that they are working on it. Kia absolutely refuses to send a letter. Many called to Kia and every time they change their story. Their customer service is worthless and they don't care about their customers!
Date of experience: April 5, 2023
Kia Finance gave an insurance company my vin number by mistake. Now Kia sends letters claiming my vehicle has been totaled and they want the payoff. I have contacted them 4 times and explained their mistake and they will not correct it. Offered to send picture of car and explained wrecked vehicle was in Pennsylvania and was an SUV not a Soul which is mine. Representatives are very rude and refuse to correct Kia's mistake. Horrible experience.

Kia finance is like hugging a serial killer. They will tell you what you want to hear and all smiles. Sure we are a great company, sure we care about you, sure your the most important person to us... Anything to get you into their cars but when you least expect it they will slit your throat then tell you its all your fault! Not sure how paying 17k over the phone to payoff a debt can screw your credit but they managed it. Also absolutely moronic that they had to do 7 transaction so I could pay it off, wtf? I won't ever buy anything from kia. I don't know you so I have no reason to lie to you but when everything goes sideways you'll be posting as well.
