Kia Finance has been a nightmare. "customer service" hangs up after you've waited hours on hold, days in a row. When they finally answer and don't initially hang-up, they transfer your calls to 5 different departments then hang up again, but not before you answer the same questions you answered with the last 4 representatives and not before you give a run down of what you're calling about just like you did with the last 4 reps, only to be told they can't answer the question you didn'task.
They DO NOT listen to your needs, even after you repeat them 5 different ways. They refuse to actually hear what you're saying.
Their site won't allow me to make payments on my 2 Kias after I've been leasing & making payments online for 8-yrs. Instead of attempting to correct the issue they charge me $7 × 2 to make phone payments. Now I have to do it again this month bc their online payment feature is not working for me still. There is no person you can talk to that doesn't have a super thick accent that is very difficult to understand when the connection is always fuzzy due to what I assume is because they transferr their calls to another country. Fuzzy connection or thick accent, pick one, not both because both make accomplishing anything nearly impossible.
At one point they falsley claimed I didn't make my final payments on my first leased Kia's but the cars were traded in one month early so no there were no payments due on those cars. The false claim prevented me from buying a house that year, literally. No preapproval until the mark was removed from my credit. It took me a year to get it off credit with VERY little help from Kia Finance. A year of fighting. All that time and energy towards something that never was. No apology no compensation. Nothing but headaches.
Another time they charged me a dollar more per payment than agreed upon with the dealership but they did it at a time that was last minute and I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to be without a leased car until it got solved.
The last two payments I made over the phone I had extra fees listed...I had to pay $24 extra, per car, but no one could tell why but they could tell me that if I didn't make payment in full, mystery fees included, my accounts would be considered past due & reported.

Kia Motors Finance has a rating of 1.1 stars from 299 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Kia Motors Finance most frequently mention customer service, auto pay, and business days problems. Kia Motors Finance ranks 65th among Loans sites.
I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with Kia Finance, a company that, in my opinion, provides the worst customer service imaginable. The employees are uncooperative and refuse to engage in meaningful communication. They pick and choose which questions to answer, often ignoring the most critical ones. Additionally, I encountered multiple instances where they attempted to provide false or misleading information, which made me feel deceived. Even during the contract signing process, they were already engaging in dishonest practices, misleading creditors and hiding important details. It's shocking how little they care about transparency or treating their customers fairly. Instead of offering help or clarity, they seem more interested in manipulating the situation to their advantage. I would not recommend Kia Finance to anyone seeking an honest and reliable financial partner.
I love both my Candenzas. They are fabulous family sedans that require very little in the way of maintenance. Look great. Ride great. Just great cars. However, if I decide to get another Kia Cadenza or other Kia, I'm going to come in with my own financing already secured. Kia Motors Finance is absolute BASURA. They are intrusive, habitual line-steppers.
We had to make a payment late because I got a new job and we all know about that lag between starting a new gig and the first paycheck. I called them to inform them of this and they said they would note it to my account and no collection calls would happen. Literally THE DAY after my due date, the calls started. When I told them my situation, they said they had no record, even though I got the name of the customer service agent and had recorded the phone call on my phone.
They then asked me if i could make more than the amount due "to stop the collection calls". When I said no, I could not because I had other responsibilities and had met my obligation, they literally suggested that I be late on my mortgage or preschool payments to pay them extra. Yeah, i'm really going to risk losing my house or having my child kicked out of school to pay you above and beyond my monthly payment.
This is my second go round with Kia Motors Finance and they were not this way back in 2015. Something has changed and I don't like it. I have half a mind to terminate my lease and go get a different car. They are ridiculous.

I had been a customer with Kia Motor Finance for 2 years and had made all my payments faithfully and on time. During the Coronavirus pandemic I was temporarily out of work starting in early April and I had heard that Kia was doing payment extensions to help their customers. So in mid May I called them to see if I could get just a 1 month extension and they immediately said, no because the economy has opened back up. I explained that I work at a bar, and bars in Texas have not opened back up. She then told me I need to fill out an online request and so I did, but it was immediately denied! I couldn't believe they would do this to me! I heard they are automatically giving new customers 3 months deferred payments, but they wouldn't even give 1 month to me, a long time and faithful customer! So they're losing me because I am going to refinance with a much better company and this new company is going to give me 3 months deferment! So Kia is losing a great customer because they just couldn't bring themselves to help me for 1 month! My advice to you? Stay away from Kia Motor Finance... stay far far away!

Absolutely the most horrible and worst customer service including the agents and the supervisor. It has been more than a month we are following up with this company for transferring the vehicle registration title from one state to another and it's the worst experience ever. First, all the agents are extremely rude, not at all trained for what kind of job they are doing, and they have no idea how the services work and no work ethics. Each time you call, each agent will give different information and completely mislead you. Also, they never accept their faults, always blame other departments and people. Even one of the Supervisor named Crystal (Emp ID *******) from customer service of KIA had no idea about the job duties, blamed the title department, and said that it will take more than 6 weeks to send the request and in the end did not give any guarantee that the process will be completed. We have been trying to send our requests regularly on daily basis but still no response. The answer we get is that you are not the only customer. Honestly speaking they don't even deserve any stars and request everyone who wants to buy KIA vehicles, DO NOT GO WITH KIA FINANCE. THEY ARE THE WORST.

Kia has said it is because of a upgrade on their system in March is why they are having problems posting payments.
I payed June payment May 20th online. It cleared my bank on the 22nd. When I look at payment history is shows it there but not placed on principal and interest. This happened to me in May to but when I received a email saying my payment was late I was shocked then when I looked at my payment history I seen the payment was never moved over to principal and interest.
I called Kia and was able to get if fixed within a week. When I talked to Kia that day I said I see my June payment was also just sitting there. I was told that to would get fixed. Each week I call this is a joke I am on hold at least a hour to two before someone picks up. Every week they say the same thing. We can see the payment we are unable to transfer you to accounting they do not take phone calls all we can do is email them. Accounting will have it fixed within a week. May 20th they received my June payment it is now July 8th with nothing being done.
Not sure what I am able to do if Kia reports my payment late to the credit bureau all I know is until they fix this I am to afraid to make my July payment.

Kiamotors has the worst customer service I highly recommend if you buy a Kia do NOT go through Kia motors finance for the loan they do not do what they say I am on my 3rd supervisor regarding wrongfully pulling my money out and they are listening to recorded calls because I demanded they did because I will use them in court if I have to. They are not indemnifying on giving me the refund I deserve period I did not authorize the withdraw and do not have auto pay set up so this is beyond ridiculous and infuriating. To think I used to work for them and promote them and have financed 5 cars through them specifically! Never ever ever again ill take higher interest rate over this crap. Worst customer service ever. I can't wait for them to call me back after listening to the calls proving how bad they messed up grrr. Now onto tiktok Google etc on to destroy their reputation and hopefully help others never go through waking up to your bank account being negative because someone took your $ that they never had authorization to take.

Here the thing: Why is there so much that the paying customer has to do to insure that these guys have the right info?
I lease a KIA in 2017. No issues. Loved the care.
Then we lease a new 2020 Kia and administratively, things started to get confusing. I returned the first lease, and the payment was still do on for that month - even though I didn't have the care anymore. Gpt that squared away, and then we leased a 2023.
Aye curumba what a fiasco.
Lease ended in June so we went to the dealership and opted to lease a new vehicle. Wasn't available until August so we had to extend out lease 3 months. Here's the thing: I had to do the administrative work - not the dealership. I had to explain that why Kia couldn't provide me a new vehicle in June.
Next came the plethora of emails & letters about my end of lease options. Then - after I got my new vehicle in August - threatening letters of exercising my end of lease options - even though I had turned in my vehicle and made my first payment on my new vehicle.
Today - literally on this date - I went to make my payment on my new car and was greeted with pop ups about my end of lease options on my last vehicle.
Maybe some of this is the dealer, but I'd like to think I'm owed some compensation for all the bookkeeping and administrative work I've been doing. I mean, I still owe my last payment to them according to my credit karma page.
Just very frustrating.
Love the new Kia, but the process is almost not worth the car.

EXECUTIONERS!
DISGUSTING!
After I payed 35 months on time with no headaches, no late fees, they dont want me to pay the last month in payments. IM DISABLED IN A HOSPITAL NOW!. I called them to make an arrangement to pay the last month since Im in the hospital WITH PROOF OF IT! And they sayed "ITS DOESNT MATTER YOU ARE DISABLED IN A HOSPITAL" You have to pay the $1000 by march
I never sayed Im not gonna pay, I said I will but in payments since Im in the hospital and is THE FREAKING LAST MONTH! I PAYED 35 MONTHS ALREADY! And you dont wanna help me so I can pay the last month? I gave them the sorento tecnically brand new, 11,000mi in 3 years and you cant helped me so I can pay the last month in payments?

While setting up autopay an extra payment came out of my bank account. I called in for over two months to get my money back. I was told a check was sent out but I never received it. Then I was told a credit would be applied to my account. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Here comes the due date and I'm forced to pay. After waiting for so long I decided to have my bank reverse the extra payment. Well they made a mistake and reversed the wrong one and now I have a late payment on my credit report which tanked me and my sisters credit by over 50 points. I explained this to customer service and sent in a letter to their dispute team and all I got back was a letter saying it's accurate. It's extremely frustrating to be penalized for trying to be a responsible customer and make my payments on time. This is ruining my credit and my life I cannot have a late payment on my report for the next 7 years, I'm only 20. I've never been so frustrated with a company they couldn't care less about their customers or helping them. When you call customer service all they do is hang up or say there's nothing they can do to help. Had they refund me I wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. I feel bad because my sister co-signed and is now being dragged into this mess. Seriously Stay away and get a different car or finance through someone else.

There are things very wrong with Kia Motor Finance. I recommend DON'T EVEN THINK to lease a car with Kia Motor Finance because they will ask the remaining lease amount in 1 payment if you want to move and register your car in another state even you have a sales agreement to pay in 36 months. According to NJ DMV process, title needs to go directly from leasing company to DMV and Kia Motor Finance don't do that if you don't pay the full remaining balance that you agreed to pay in 3 years. Your Kia dealer don't help you with anything because they don't know the other state rules and they are just submitting your documents to Kia Motor Finance and expect you to deal with Kia Motor Finance directly. If they tell you that you can register your car with bill of sale DON'T BELIEVE that because it is not like that in all states so you will end up paying lease for the car that sitting in front of your apartment without any plate for 3 years! Even this is not written in your Bill Of Sale, they don't care and do NOTHING.

Great products, horrible finance company. I honestly think Hyundai/Kia have no idea how bad their financing arm is. Run from this Company! Use a Credit Union. I turned a leased vehicle in during one of their "pull ahead" programs, Kia agreed to pay up to 4 payments. To save capital, Kia never comes forth with the money. They simply wait until they sale the car at auction to get the cash. In the meantime they erroneously report to the three Credit Bureaus that you still have a balance. As of June 2017, they are still reporting a balance on a vehicle that was grounded in December 2016! They did a lease-end inspection and I have never received a copy of the inspection report. I guess their game here is to "find" excess wear and tear AFTER the car sales at auction and then bill you 6-7 months later. I was told that maybe the dealer didn't send in the paperwork, that I was seriously past due, or that they would probably sue me. Today they said that they had everything that they needed from the dealer on January 19th! This has been mental anguish. I have made 20 calls to them, disputed the balance through all 3 credit bureaus and went through the Consumer Finance Protection Board. Finally, they are going to send me something in writing saying that I have a balance with them. I will then be able to get an attorney. This has caused me a ton of grief when buying a home. I got on a three-way with KMF and the CB and Kia admitted that I didn't owe the money and my mortgage was approved. As of today, KMF is STILL reporting a balance! I have financed/leased 6 vehicles with them and have a 800+ credit score. I pay my bills.
This Company is way past unprofessional. I purchased a new Kia for my wife, got the incentives through Kia Motor Finance and paid it off within 30 days. I suggest you do the same. Take their incentives and move your business to a real financial institution. You will be much happier!
Maybe just maybe Hyundai/Kia will close their finance arm, move the business to a major bank, lay off a bunch of folks in Atlanta that don't appear to care about their jobs and doing the right thing anyway. They can save a TON of cash then. No real estate or payroll. What do you think Hyundai-Kia? 21st Century sound better?

Do NOT give Kia the time of day! This last 6 months has been h*** on earth, because of them. I bought a brand new Kia Soul, and within a few months was hit by someone coming into my lane on the highway. The police cited her, and her insurance paid out. The check sat on their table for months, because her insurance company kept trying to give it to Kia, but Kia literally would NOT accept it! Insanity! Before I fired my lawyers, they were on the phone with them, the other insurance company reps were on the phone with them, and even the guy I bought the car from said he regrets representing Kia in any way, after HE was on the phone with them. I was able to hold my tongue, but the other people I was 3-way-ing with, cussed them out, because they got so frustrated. They would answer and when they heard it was us, they would just put the phone down, or they would send us in circles. They even admitted that they had all the necessary paperwork, but no one would move on it. All of this is supposedly on a recorded line too. Sooo crazy! The crash happened July 30th, and they refused to accept payment until the first week in January. I had to call so many times and put up with their nonsense for hours each time. Thank God, the last time I called, there were signs of intelligent life! In addition, they ruined my credit -- dropped it by 100 points, because they kept charging me as late, when they were the ones not accepting payment. I pride myself on not missing payments at all -- never missed one! They ruined that. Now I have difficulty finding housing. That's what I have to fight next. And guess what? There's no number to call about credit disputes. It's just a P.O. Box. Now I have a Toyota lol...didn't like the Soul anyway, because it always felt like it might tip over on turns. It's cute, but not worth the hassle, believe me!
Tip for consumers:
Whatever you do, don't buy through Kia.

Before I bought out the lease, I ran across this site and got worried about the many negative reviews. But, I found the process to be reasonably pain-free. My only complaint is that communication from Kia could be greatly improved. They basically tell you to mail a check. I had ascertained that Kia's price included the residual value plus my final lease payment, state sales tax and fees, but there was no itemized list of everything, so it wasn't clear if Kia covered the cost of retitling the car. I sent in the check and a printout of their buyout offer. A week later, they contacted me via email with a link to a secured message site. I went to the site and it had 3 messages. One said that something was missing, but didn't say what. One confirmed that the lease buyout process had been initiated. The third asked me to send an odometer disclosure statement either by replying to the email or via fax. I replied with the completed mileage statement. The next day, Kia messaged me that it had completed the review of the lease buyout details and was working to request the leased vehicle's title. I wasn't sure if that meant that Kia was signing off on its title and I would have to apply for a new one with the state DMV or if they would send in the title and application to the DMV (along with the fee). I asked them in an email reply on the secured site but received no response. It turned out to be the former. Eleven days later they notified me that the title was being sent. I received it a couple days later along with a bill of sale (which confirmed that the purchase price included sales tax). I then completed a state DMV form online and sent the title and bill of sale to the DMV. Twelve days later I had my title. Overall, it worked as it should and the whole process took slightly less than a month, but there were many times when I was left wondering what exactly was happening and if I was doing everything I was supposed to. Anyway, I kept good records and made copies of everything. Luckily I didn't need them.

On March 21,2019, I overnighted a payoff check for my 2016 Optima via FedEx mail. I confirmed the address I provided to FedEx was correct via Kia Motor Finance representative and by checking the online website. The next day, on March 22,2019, my FedEx receipt shows Kia received and signed for my check. A few days later, Kia called me, and made me away my payment was never applied. In an attempt to determine why the check was not processed, I was hung Up on. When calling back my call was disconnected once again. Having to miss time from work to resolve this issue, I called back In, and again explained I had mailed In a pay off check. The representative apologized and told me she would escalate to why the previous representative were rejecting my calls. I was Warm transferred to a representative that told me payments take 10-12 days to process, she could not determine if she received my check, and that she would tell collections to stop calling me. I provided this representative with my tracking number for FedEx. On Monday April 1,2019, I received a Call from Kia Collections once again, but the representative again hung up on me. I was Once again transferred to Kia customer solutions and was told I needed to provide them with more details or to repeat the information I already provided to them, provide proof of check pay off, and information that should be located in Kias system. I engaged In a 3-way call, again this cut into my person work time, with my bank to provide more details regarding my check and proof it was sent. Kia then said they have no record of a check and a third party handles mail collection so "it's not their fault the check is lost". I have Been provided with no solution, I've been harassed by collections, mislead, and I've received late fees and soon a potential mark on my credit for a mistake they refuse to take responsibility of. I've lost time and I'm losing money. In the past Kia promised to replace a stolen spare tire and never did. This is not the first reported issue a person has had with attempting to pay off their car. Kia refuses to send titles, processes checks, and charge customers fees for mistakes they purposely make. They are making profit off not doing their job

Bought a car for my son 10/6/20 on 10/14/20 called to set up Auto Pay and Kia did not have the account set up I was told it was the dealership that did not send it in. I called the Dealership and they said that they are wrong and they always mislead people because KIA financial employees don't know what they are doing. I called Kia back and they said wait another week.
Today 10/27/30 called KIA Young girl answered and I had to hang up because of all the back crying
I called back and spoke to another young girl who again could not put sentences together yet alone answer your questions So I asked to speak to Supervisor I got someone named Eddy who again didn't really understand questions and sounded very young he stated my account was set today that I had to wait until 11/6/20 to make a payment to set up account even thought it took KIA 21 dats to set up my new account. So basically because of their incompetence I as a Customer had to make many calls including the dealership several times and will still have to do that to set up something that every company out there wishes their customers will do
This place has no clue how to treat customers, answer questions and treat customers so they can leave with a good experience but being that they are so unprofessional and young you can tell by their responses and inattentiveness that they could care less even Eddy the Supervisor which is why it prompted me to write this DONT USE KIA FINANCIAL YOU WILL REGRET IT LIKE I AM IT's GOING TO BE A LONG LEASE IF I HAVE TO KEEP CALLING THEM FOR HELP

I use to rave about Kia to my friends and family, I even talked my mom into buying one. Well that all changed the past couple weeks. I had called Kia to ask how to pay out my lease, I was told to just go to my portal and pay the buy out total. I did and months went by i never got my title paperwork and I didn't think much of it because I wasn't planning on selling any time soon. Then my car got stolen over a month ago and my insurance wants to pay it out but won't till the car title is in my name. When i called Kia to find out why the title wasn't in my name, they said I needed Odometer paperwork from when the car was paid out. Now remind you this is like 10 months later. I explained my situation that car is gone and he put me on hold, then came back said I don't need it and I am set. I would get paperwork in 7-10 days. I waited and nothing showed up. I called back again and they said you need to turn in your odometer paperwork and explained to them what the guy told me from week earlier said I didn't need the form. So I filled out the form faxed it (because I just wasted a week). I said I would call back 20 min to confirm it was received, to which they responded with, oh you have to wait 3 days for them to see it in their system. I am like why can't you physically look at it to tell me. Oh that is in another department. I say can I have their nunber/email. Oh no we don't have that information. I am like how does a big company like this not have a phone number? It's starting to feel like a scam. It's been over a week and they still can't confirm my fax has been received. I don't care how busy they are, that should be an easy thing to do. I am wasting so much time just getting this process started. I recommend do not buy a Kia through their finance department or just avoid Kia/ Hyundai all together.
