I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with Kia Finance, a company that, in my opinion, provides the worst customer service imaginable. The employees are uncooperative and refuse to engage in meaningful communication. They pick and choose which questions to answer, often ignoring the most critical ones. Additionally, I encountered multiple instances where they attempted to provide false or misleading information, which made me feel deceived. Even during the contract signing process, they were already engaging in dishonest practices, misleading creditors and hiding important details. It's shocking how little they care about transparency or treating their customers fairly. Instead of offering help or clarity, they seem more interested in manipulating the situation to their advantage. I would not recommend Kia Finance to anyone seeking an honest and reliable financial partner.
I have never once been late on any of my payments. For whatever reason they split my payment and put it towards sales tax vs principal causing several late fees! This impacted my credit score by 75 points. When I contacted the company their exact words were "we can split payments however we choose". They refused to put a manager or supervisor on the phone or the manager refused to take my calls. I requested a reversal and they refused. The customer service was the worst I have ever experience! They should not be allowed to treat people this unfairly without just cause. Please think twice before using this company for any business! They are ruining people credit one applicant at a time!
My bank sent a lease payoff with all the paperwork and Kia has still yet to process 11 days later. Now they are harassing me for a monthly payment even though they can see the amount of the payoff in their system. Just awful!
Tip for consumers:
Avoid if possible.
We bought a new KIA in 2016 and the dealership insisted that going through KIA Finance was our best option. Lesson one: Never trust a car salesman.
We went to re-finance the car recently and Kia Finance is making it an absolute nightmare to do so. They take a minimum of three days to fax or email documents - even documents they are holding in their hands while on the phone with them. They have been delaying and dragging their feet on getting our bank the documents they need. It's been nearly a month since the process started.
Now, when we try to call and make our way through their extensive and time-consuming phone menu, they say "I'm sorry caller, we can't hear you. Please try calling back, or try to contact on our web site." We tried calling from THREE different phones and each different person that finally answered said the same thing. We immediately tried the phones by calling other numbers and they work just fine. What a bunch of BS!
Never again KIA.
Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with and we have bought many cars and financed through several places these ppl are the worst all I needed was my title and lien faxed to transfer my tags to another state which I am currently residing in. They absolutely have refused. We faxed over paperwork which they requested told it would take 3 days to process. 2 weeks later now they say they didn't receive paperwork and refuse to let me speak to any type of manager or supervisor. When I asked could I speak to someone in their title dept was told no. We switched tags to two other vehicles they we own over without issue they were able to fax what I needed in less than 5 mins. Will never finance through Kia no matter what interest rate they offer. Would give zero stars but cannot.
If you need financial hardship assistance and have a lease from KIA, good luck. I've paid my lease early every month since establishing it and this month, I'm starting a new position. I called KIA to ask for a simple deferment for 1 month and even offered to schedule 2 payments in February 2022 in return. KIA told me they don't offer any assistance and wished me luck with my hardship. They're a disgusting group of individuals who literally refuse to help people with hardship. Avoid them at all costs.
Was told i would have all payments for car taken out of my auto pay and then found out my property tax was not eligible after confirming with representative that it would be. Dropped from over 800 credit rating down to 745. From everything I have read from different sites these people are lost. Disgraceful and not willing to change after I immediately paid when contacted. Terrible customer service.
They are billing me property taxes for a car I have never owned, it is not mine by any means, and yes that includes I have never co-signed for it. I have made several attempts to clear this with them to no avail. Looks like it may need to go to court. Poor customer service, Martin, manager at Kia Finance, has made promises to follow up with me after every call I have made and he has not followed through. When I've asked to speak to someone hire than him, he claims he's it. Really?
I will never buy or lease another Kia! Horrible customer service. The first lease I turned in early under their program and they were supposed to pay the rest of my payments. They dropped the ball and I was deemed late on my credit report, which affected my credit score! With my new lease, I did a buyout and I still don't have my title after almost two months! Every time I call, I get a different answer! Even the "supervisors" are rude and incompetent! Never ever again!
I can not even begin to explain how terrible they are. I bought my car in December and it took them until JUNE to get my account fixed. How many times are you going to lose my documents and make me resign the loan? I over paid the entire time for the sake of my credit when my loan amount was actually less but they kept messing up and now they can't give me the money back lol. Great company, truly.
Kia Finance are con artists.
They offer 0% finance then make you go all the way to signing the agreement and even take your deposit then at the very last minute they decline the 0% and offer it to you at 5.9% instead despite excellent Experian credit score.
Most people will then end up taking the finance anyway, having gone through all the process to the point where their brains are tricked into wanting that car no matter what, despite being only attracted to it for the 0% in the first place.
So beware and ask them to do the 0% credit check and confirm the award before paying your deposit, choosing your colour, extras and signing papers etc. I had to wait 3 days for my deposit to be refunded into my bank.
I keep getting notices that I missed payments when I am completely up to date. I even got a completely unwarranted Notice of Default. They double-billed sales tax. They keep adding bogus late charges. I keep writing them and they correct one thing and mess up two more. I almost think they are doing it on purpose because I have 0% financing and unless they can con me into making extra payments they are servicing my account for free.
I've been waiting for my refund for SIX months! Every time I call customer service I get a different answer and they give me the run around. What kind of customer service is that? I'm beginning to run out of patience. I don't recommend that anyone do business with this company!
Try calling their "Customer Service" number. Takes about 2 mins to walk thru prompts. Then message comes on, cuts you off! Aggregated. Could not get them to send title to State so I could get it. After paid off! Avoid them, very bad service!
I have been trying so hard for more than a year to get the property taxes department by fax and mail it has been a huge headache. Customer service suppose to help customers, but they can't reach this department either or get an answer for us from them. Stamford Ct keep every year charging us for taxes, and the car is in TX. Stamford city tax department services can't get any information from us, because it's a lease, so all we are trying is to send the documents to kia to resend to Stamford and get the money back. Please help! It's almost $900 the car has been in TX since August 2017
They accept payment, give you confirmation of the payment and then notify you 3 months later that the payment reversed. Meanwhile they allow you to keep making payments thinking you are up to date. I received no notification about my account status until they were calling to collect. The customer service rep is indifferent to the situation and only concerned with when I can pay. I've been a Kia driver for almost 10 years now, and this is the treatment I get. I own the fact that the reversal is my fault, but why wait 3 months to contact me and let me know? This happened 3 times with them. I'm seriously considering refinancing for the sole purpose of getting away from Kia Finance. I'm definitely not buying from kia for my next vehicle regardless of how pleased I am with the car. This experience has tarnished the entire brand for me.
I purchased at car from kia with kia finance. Had it for over two years i have never be able to work out anything with them
Imaginary late fees you name it. Calling them with just make your blood pressure to thur the roof. It got so bad that i sold the car requested a pay off amount. And now two months after the sell. They say I owe more money. No phone calls nothing. I call them and just get the run around with no results. Unable to talk to anyone that work with it to be resolved
Dysfunctional billing leads to awful awful service and creates problems for your credit score which they will not take responsibility for. They simply don't care about their customers at all. Their inefficiencies cost me hours of time and money.
Sorry. Just venting at this point. I turned in my lease earlier than expected, so an automatic payment went through. I called them to see if I could have a refund, and they said they would issue it. Great. No problem, except I've been waiting for over 4 months trying to get this check. I called them over 6 times trying to get this check, and they would just tell me that it's 'pending,' and they would send an email to invoice team and to wait 10 business days every time. They would never expect me to be this late on a payment, so this is just frustrating.
Worst service ever they still have figured out how to apply principles on account worst call center agents they hang up on you or put you on hold then drop even the Kia centers can't help all I get wanted was to pay for my principles

I will never buy or lease another Kia! Horrible customer service. I did a lease and I still don't have my title transfer to other state, after almost two months! Every time I call, I get a different answer! Even the "supervisors" are rude and incompetent! Never ever again!
The actual lease was a piece of cake to get. When it was up I leased another car from them. The service dept is a total lying scam, the manager is a lying manipulator and they truly personify what people think of in terms of slimy car sales. I decided to buy the second car at the end of my lease and it has been a frustrating, disappointing series of lies, circles, ridiculous fees and $3000 more than the buy out price on my contract. The finance manager even lied to my bank. I used to tell everyone to go there and two of my friends ended up buying their cars there. I NEVER will recommend this dealer (Phil Smith Kia In Pompano, FL) again and I will be sure to tell everyone about their condescension and dishonesty. What ever happened to honesty and doing the right thing!?
The fine print is VERY important, especially when co-signing for a vehicle. Kia Financing traps you in a co-signing situation so that even when the primary driver loses their license and is driving drunk, you can't do a voluntary submission of the car without both signatures. They deny receiving documents sent USPS Priority with tracking numbers showing that they were delivered AND any faxes. If you are lucky you might get someone that admits they receive them. Each time you call you only get part of the answer. Also - as SOON as the 1st of the month arrives - and they don't get their payment, even with a history of payment on time, they start calling and hounding you. You are left with no choice but to stop payment and have the vehicle repossessed. They refuse to work with you and would rather stand by their agreement than help to keep accidents and possible deaths from happening.
Did a lease buyout April 2021 and after sending an odometer statement three times and calling every month for a year, I still do not have my title. You cannot talk to a supervisor, everyone gives you a different excuse for why they are so lame, and still nothing! After a year of calls and telling me the have mailed it to me, they now say it's still in process? Screw you, Kia! Do not use them for financing!
Unhappy with service I received RE: payoff. Said total owed 232.04 Paid that then got late notice saying I owed more but was unable to see online or on phone I was told I couldnt see because my contract was up. Then they charged me an $8.00 fee as I paid it on phone? If I couldnt pay online why be penalized for paying on phone And why not put right total that was owed Very disappointed This will be my last Kia
Beware of the $400 "lease termination" fee that you will never escape... even if you lease another... it just gets tacked on to the end of the next. Then they have an incompetent return company that is an epic nightmare to see what "additional wear and tear" fees they are charging you with. They sent a non-functional link for the damage which after a month of trying to get the actual photos for a small scrape on the bottom of the wheel well, they finally sent it direct as the links never worked.
By the way, KIA is owned by Hyundai... so needless to say, you lease one or the other and you get the same crooks.
