Kia Finance has been a nightmare. "customer service" hangs up after you've waited hours on hold, days in a row. When they finally answer and don't initially hang-up, they transfer your calls to 5 different departments then hang up again, but not before you answer the same questions you answered with the last 4 representatives and not before you give a run down of what you're calling about just like you did with the last 4 reps, only to be told they can't answer the question you didn'task.
They DO NOT listen to your needs, even after you repeat them 5 different ways. They refuse to actually hear what you're saying.
Their site won't allow me to make payments on my 2 Kias after I've been leasing & making payments online for 8-yrs. Instead of attempting to correct the issue they charge me $7 × 2 to make phone payments. Now I have to do it again this month bc their online payment feature is not working for me still. There is no person you can talk to that doesn't have a super thick accent that is very difficult to understand when the connection is always fuzzy due to what I assume is because they transferr their calls to another country. Fuzzy connection or thick accent, pick one, not both because both make accomplishing anything nearly impossible.
At one point they falsley claimed I didn't make my final payments on my first leased Kia's but the cars were traded in one month early so no there were no payments due on those cars. The false claim prevented me from buying a house that year, literally. No preapproval until the mark was removed from my credit. It took me a year to get it off credit with VERY little help from Kia Finance. A year of fighting. All that time and energy towards something that never was. No apology no compensation. Nothing but headaches.
Another time they charged me a dollar more per payment than agreed upon with the dealership but they did it at a time that was last minute and I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to be without a leased car until it got solved.
The last two payments I made over the phone I had extra fees listed...I had to pay $24 extra, per car, but no one could tell why but they could tell me that if I didn't make payment in full, mystery fees included, my accounts would be considered past due & reported.

I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with Kia Finance, a company that, in my opinion, provides the worst customer service imaginable. The employees are uncooperative and refuse to engage in meaningful communication. They pick and choose which questions to answer, often ignoring the most critical ones. Additionally, I encountered multiple instances where they attempted to provide false or misleading information, which made me feel deceived. Even during the contract signing process, they were already engaging in dishonest practices, misleading creditors and hiding important details. It's shocking how little they care about transparency or treating their customers fairly. Instead of offering help or clarity, they seem more interested in manipulating the situation to their advantage. I would not recommend Kia Finance to anyone seeking an honest and reliable financial partner.
My daughters fiancé died and the telluride was in his name. We were dropping the car off the day of the funeral after we cleaned all her baby stuff out of it. Kia sent a repo company the day before the funeral, snatched the car, and refuses to discuss giving her all the baby items. I worked at Kia for a cpl years even before all this and left after realizing what a horrible company they are to their employees and customers. They intentionally put customers in very bad positions knowingly delivering cars with issues like the propensity of their motors blowing up prematurely. Stay away from Kia. The only reason their cars look good now is because they hired the old Audi designer. That doesn't make them anymore reliable, now they are just more expensive to repair when they break. A total joke of a company. Take it from someone who worked there, and have driven their cars.

I totally think they are taking advantage of my 20 year old son! When COVID started he lost his job and was paying what he could when he could for the first month or so, talking to them the entire time and letting them know what was going on. They repo 'd the car and we got all the money and got the car back. Jumped through every hoop they asked for, paid everything they asked for. A year later and they are still adding money on! They sent a letter stating he owed x amount from last years repo ( told it was pd in full) and on the phone when I asked the exact $$ amount she said well I see another $300! Asked for itemized bill and receipt of what we just paid, nothing was ever sent. Fully taking advantage of people and scamming. Our lawyer is now working on it. I will make sure I tell everyone how awful they are!

I tried to call and talk to someone about payments for over a week. I would be put on hold for 30 or more minutes, they would hang up on me, or have me on hold so long other departments would close. They will tell you they will email or fax you letters and you never get them. I thought things would be good but things quickly turn bad.

This is the second time I am going through this. I turned in my leased Kia Soul early. The dealership paid what was left on the lease and I leased another Soul. I have used auto pay both times. The problem is even though lease was paid off they continue to take payments out of my account. I have been unable to get into my account to shut it down and they told me they can't do anything for me (?). They said I have to do it. What is it that they don't understand that I am unable to get into my account? Meanwhile they said it would take up to 30 days to get my refund. I cannot afford to pay for both the new lease and continue paying on a lease that is paid off. Never again!

You approved my poor daughter for a loan she can not possibly afford--The payment is 40% of her monthly paycheck
She says she told them her income and was told she was approved. When I called and asked for copy of loan application I was told it would take 48 hours and all they sent was loan--not application showing what they used as her income. I wonder if they falsified the application?

So much things I can say but will not fill an entire essay, its not worth it. My last straw was when I was 3 days past due on my payment. Kia finance called me over 6 times every single day for those 3 days. I work 9-10hr shifts and where Inwork I cannot use my phone at all or I get fired. When I got off work, I called them back to see what the urgency was and the rep told me they are obligated to call me like that and also told me that they can end my contract and pick up my car at any given moment. How $#*!ing dare you. I will not recommend Kia to anyone, you can take those cruises and free tvs and shove them up real high. I cannot wait till next year, to finally lower my equity and trading in the car.

I been on a hold from them since my insurance is trying to pay them the amount of the total loss of the car. I been calling them to see if they have sent the letter of acceptance and they told me they already sent so I called my insurance and they checked to see if they had sent it and that was a lie. Now I have to wait on them another week for my insurance to get their letter so we can get out of this problem.

I was trying to get a lien release of a vehicle that was traded to us. It has been 3 weeks and I am still waiting even though I have done everything that they asked for. Today I called to follow up and no one seems to know what's going on. I asked to speak to a manager, and she was not helpful and she said that I have to keep faxing the bill of sell until I get a respond which I have already done. She also was mean and asked me to have the customer who traded the vehicle to call in, which I have done before. When I told her to hold until I get the customer on the phone, she hung up on me. Terrible customer service.

I tried to pay my car payment twice before my due date and they had problems with linking to my account. So I ended up having to pay an extra 7.95 for a fee because I tried twice to pay. So far I hate Kia financing there horrible I wouldn't recommend them for anything

I'm on time or early every month and I also pay over EVERY MONTH... these a holes suspended my online payments because two payments in a year and a half bounced back because of an error and I resubmitted the next day... but because of the two failed payments I now have to spend more money to give my note... I went up like three supervisor levels... and I could have punched everyone of those dumb $#*!es in the throat

I've called six times to change the paperwork on a car. My Dad died and I did everything I could to sort out the car. Nobody ever calls back if there's a problem. They won't tell me what I owe on the lease BUT they will take my cash. So I give them arbitrary amounts toward a lease. I can't get my car inspected and registered correctly until the paperwork is in my name. I'm driving a car with screwed-up paperwork thanks to the runaround. I'm not exactly stealing a car if I'm calling to pay you for the car dumbasses.

Do you like to spend hours on end dealing with crappy telephone menus and listening to crappier music for hours on end? Then you will love Kia Motors Finance.
Impossible to deal or even communicate with. I will be paying off my vehicle, even though financially disadvantageous, to avoid dealing with these incompetents ever again. Avoid like the plague.

I leased a 2015 KIA Optima. I like the car. The dealership where I have it serviced is very good. Kia finance is the worst. After the lease I purchased the car. It has been over a year and I still have not gotten the title. Kia customer service claims they have not received the odometer statement. It has been faxed (yes faxed) numerous times to 3 different phone numbers. I asked customer service to acknowledge receipt of the fax but they refused. They said after the fax comes through it will appear in the account and the title will be processed. Over a year and this has not worked. If you buy a KIA DO NOT lease or finance through KIA.

I leased two vehicles from Kia returned both on time, no late payments in 72 months. I paid the $400 lease return fee and 3 months later KIA reports late payments to my credit report. I called multiple times to require about late payments and they assured me it would be deleted for credit report. NOW they say you can do it yourself - also, they will not provide a delete letter for credit report. These Fkn Clowns are horrible. NEVER AGAIN

I've been trying to call the customer and finance department the past three months and every time I call, the automated voice tells me to call back and just hangs up. So I emailed them and they tell me to call since they can't help me with my issue over email. What a JOKE. Doesn't even give you the option to be put on hold to wait for someone to speak with you. Instead it's the automated voice telling you sorry call back another time, BYE. The WORST

Absolute horrible customer service! They are extremely rude and uncaring to any financial hardships. I had called for an extension on a payment that was going to be late because I recently had emergency surgery and was out of work for a little over a month due to recovery. I go back to work this weekend. But I had called Kia to ask for an extension of my payment, explained that I had surgery, and when I would be returning to work. KIA refused to allow an extension of my payment and basically told me to borrow the money from friends or family by the date they want their money or else... and then they hung up on me. First of all... many friends and family are being affected by the COVID pandemic, they don't have money either and secondly why is it such an ordeal to extend 1 payment? I even gave them an exact date when they would get the payment. I will never ever buy a car from KIA ever again!

This company is so unprofessional, so rude, so slow in processing and so inaccurate... it is pathetic and coupled with Irvine Kia Motors, the customer gets shortchanged.
Financed (forced to finance) $7,500 in order to get the rebates and 24 days later Kia Motors Finance (KAY call center operator) is telling me to contact the dealer because the dealer did not send a complete credit report, and Kia of Irvine is telling me that the culprit is Kia Finance and they are slow... I have no loan documents, no payment booklets, etc. Go to a credit union or get your own financing... Avoid both Kia of Irvine and Kia Motor Finance. When the dealership wanted my business they emailed me daily but after they made the sale, they ignored me big time. I guess hey did not like negative reviews.

I HATE the website more than anything. Anytime you try to access the website, they make it almost impossible. I was screwed over by the kia dealership, bought a 20k car for 40k, because I didn't know what it was worth. Ever sense I've got it, it's been a piece of sh!t!
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE KIA FINANCE!!!

Do not, I repeat DO NOT finance a vehicle through KIA Finance. Their customer service is the worst. It is impossible to get to the person who knows something, assuming there is such a person. You will be transferred from one area to the next and after an extended waiting period the call will be ended. My first mistake was cosigning for my grandson. My second mistake was financing with KIA finance. When he is late with a payment (often), the payment is taken from my account without permission even though I have never authorized auto pay. Their internal communication is apparently non-existent.

I have never dealt with a worst finance company than Kia Finance. They were glad to take my money while I owed them, but now the loan is paid, I cannot get them to send me a lien release for my vehicle. I have been trying for over 3 months to get one. When I finally did get one after the 2nd attempt, it was the wrong form and the DMV would not accept it. I have called at least 5 time since then and each time they said they would send it, and I have yet to receive it. I am trying to sell my car and have a purchaser, but am in limbo waiting for the release. This should be a simple thing for any loan company, and they cannot seem to do it. I loved the Kia, but no longer need it since the loss of my wife, but cannot sell it. Kia finance will never get my business again, and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them.

I am out of work due to medical issues. Called up to have a couple payments deffered was told no... against company policy... so in other words if you have a medical issue and cant make your payment they will not help you... was told to rfinance or voluntary surrender... AFTER telling them i will be out of work for 2 months...

I was leasing a Kia Sorento for three years. My lease was going to end in April 2022. In the middle of January 2022 I decided to buy the car. Unfortunately kia financial took a another monthly payment on January 27,2022. When I contacted them, they acknowledged their mistake and will issue me a refund, "which I should receive in two weeks." I still have not been reimbursed. I have been patiently waiting and calling. I called on March 10 and asked to reissue the check. They
Said they would speed up the process since I have been waiting so long. I called today March 22 and the check is still in the processing stage. "We have 8-10 days to process the check" Well I believe from January 27 to March 22 is a lot more than 8-10 working days. Do you think 54 days is too long to wait? I certainly do, I am frustrated and have lost my patience!

I was late on one payment. They refused my payment and picked my car up. I only had ONE year left to get my title. Ppl fall on hard times. But I had the money to get caught up. So let me tell you about the repo dude. J & J asset recovery. They totaled the front of my car trying to get it on the lift. Ruined my tires by dragging it down the driveway. Hit my neighbors concrete block wall and trashed his sprinkler system. Nice huh! Woke the whole neighborhood up. When I went to get my back, they wouldn't let me see it. So they basically wouldn't let me get caught up on my payment. They wanted the pay out. First approved me to get it back. And then denied me ONE HOUR later. Who does that? Kia motor finance. And their stupid $#*! inexperienced rep company... J&J asset recovery. Whoever that lazy kid is, he destroyed property. I ain't paying for it. I got pictures of what he did.

I got behind on my payments. And thought I was caught up to my most recent March payment being due. Their automated system says I owe my March payment. But their website says I owe two payments. When I add up my numbers and compared to their numbers they don't add up when I add up my numbers and compared to their numbers they don't add up.
