Kia Finance has been a nightmare. "customer service" hangs up after you've waited hours on hold, days in a row. When they finally answer and don't initially hang-up, they transfer your calls to 5 different departments then hang up again, but not before you answer the same questions you answered with the last 4 representatives and not before you give a run down of what you're calling about just like you did with the last 4 reps, only to be told they can't answer the question you didn'task.
They DO NOT listen to your needs, even after you repeat them 5 different ways. They refuse to actually hear what you're saying.
Their site won't allow me to make payments on my 2 Kias after I've been leasing & making payments online for 8-yrs. Instead of attempting to correct the issue they charge me $7 × 2 to make phone payments. Now I have to do it again this month bc their online payment feature is not working for me still. There is no person you can talk to that doesn't have a super thick accent that is very difficult to understand when the connection is always fuzzy due to what I assume is because they transferr their calls to another country. Fuzzy connection or thick accent, pick one, not both because both make accomplishing anything nearly impossible.
At one point they falsley claimed I didn't make my final payments on my first leased Kia's but the cars were traded in one month early so no there were no payments due on those cars. The false claim prevented me from buying a house that year, literally. No preapproval until the mark was removed from my credit. It took me a year to get it off credit with VERY little help from Kia Finance. A year of fighting. All that time and energy towards something that never was. No apology no compensation. Nothing but headaches.
Another time they charged me a dollar more per payment than agreed upon with the dealership but they did it at a time that was last minute and I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to be without a leased car until it got solved.
The last two payments I made over the phone I had extra fees listed...I had to pay $24 extra, per car, but no one could tell why but they could tell me that if I didn't make payment in full, mystery fees included, my accounts would be considered past due & reported.

Kia Motors Finance has a rating of 1.1 stars from 299 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Kia Motors Finance most frequently mention customer service, auto pay, and business days problems. Kia Motors Finance ranks 65th among Loans sites.
I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with Kia Finance, a company that, in my opinion, provides the worst customer service imaginable. The employees are uncooperative and refuse to engage in meaningful communication. They pick and choose which questions to answer, often ignoring the most critical ones. Additionally, I encountered multiple instances where they attempted to provide false or misleading information, which made me feel deceived. Even during the contract signing process, they were already engaging in dishonest practices, misleading creditors and hiding important details. It's shocking how little they care about transparency or treating their customers fairly. Instead of offering help or clarity, they seem more interested in manipulating the situation to their advantage. I would not recommend Kia Finance to anyone seeking an honest and reliable financial partner.
I was dealing with olly in customer relations to be quite honest he is absolutely no help at all. Wouldnt recommend kia finance to go with if you have a problem they are useless.

It all started in early December, 2019... I moved to Washington from California, for 7 weeks after speaking with Nadia & Damian (both "escalation managers,") twice each I am still paying for a car collecting dust. Nadia assured me on December 18th she would get me taken care of. We merely need a COPY OF THE TITLE so I can register in Washington. Today (1-22-20) I called again only to have Damian tell me they are repeating the same process and I will be waiting 3-6 more weeks. I told Damian to pound sand, he is a discourteous jerk. They are ALL INCOMPETENT. FU KIA MOTORS FINANCE FUFU!

I paid off my loan with KMFUSA nearly two years ago. They sent my title to another customer (my title was attached to hers). She was kind enough to call me and let me know. She offered to send it to me but since she had my title I wasn't comfortable giving her my address and asked her to send it back to KIA. I contacted customer service and and they completely stonewalled me and I became so exasperated that I finally just hung up. Apparently once KIA has your money they don't care what the hell happens to you. I shouldn't have to go to DMV and pay $93 for a title. Is anyone aware of any class action suits that have been filed against them? If I could have given them a 0 rating I would have.

Ive tried making 3 payments on this site. The first time, i made a mistake with my account number but got NO indication that my payment failed. I figured it was just taking a while to come out of my account since this is my first month attempting to pay for my lease. The 2nd time I KNOW i put in the right information, but while the payment said RECIEVED for 5 days, it still never came out my account, so i made a $1 dollar payment just to check to see if there was an issue or something going through. Well that $1 dollar payment went through, the RECIEVED payment disappeared and now i'm 11 days past due with a late fee. I'm PISSED. This site is trash, I dont trust it, i regret getting a kia lease now.

I bought a new Kia right before the pandemic hit. I went in for a used Kia or at the most a new one without a bunch of bells and whistles, and felt like I was pressured into getting a new car and the guy ended up selling me a brand new GT-Line Kia Soul. I was making $12 an hour at the time working full-time. How I even got approved for a loan for a $20,000+ loan is beyond me, but being dumb and overly excited I accepted because I knew I'd be getting a raise within the next few weeks. I then lost my job instead, due to the pandemic. I reached out multiple times via messages to Kia about my situation and asked for payment deferral and no one ever got back to me. I had made about 4-5 payments in full and on time from the beginning of the loan. After I was 2 days late on my payment they called me incessantly, 3 even 4 times a day. When I'd speak to them they almost demanded payment. They'd pressure me into asking my friends and family for money to make my payment. Guess what? It's a pandemic and everyone is kind of messed up financially right now. I ended up having to file bankruptcy so thankfully the harassing calls have stopped. I'm surrendering the vehicle and I am so happy to be rid of KMF. I'm grateful they haven't repossessed my vehicle yet because I need it right now, but I am ready to give it back at the same time. They need to stop approving people that can barely afford their payments, it's ridiculous.

KMF is a horrible company. Even at this time of Covid-19 theyre out there to make charges to the account and don't care about their customer! They are charging extra money to defer the loan and making sure that extra charges are incurred in your account. Last time and ill make sure ill never go with this company again and make sure that all the people i know know about this company how bad they are! I hate this company and its workdrs are super unprofessional! Get away and run away farthest possible from this place!

If I could give them minus 5 stars I would! They have HORRIBLE customer. They have been charging me $30 NSF fees since November. I have not paid my account via check since last year I always pay with a debit card. In addition to creating erroneous fees, they are posting inaccurate information on my credit report. When you pay your account whether its 3 days past due or 30 days past due, the payment does not accurately reflect on your account. I've had to dispute this on my credit file 3 times. They told me they would fix it and to date they have not. The thing that pisses me off more than anything is when I walked into the dealership to by my 2nd Kia vehicle, I had my own financing! The salesman convinced me to finance with them. NEVER FINANCE WITH THEM. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS! THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. PERIOD!

Never finance with Kia Motor Finance. Very dishonest and deceptive practices. Will tell you payoff amount then change this amount making it difficult to complete payoff.

I moved to New York from Arizona in mid May. I have tried for over two weeks and over 15 calls and many emails in a vain attempt to get KIA Finance to provide the necessary information and documents to the DMV in my new home New York. Despite NY DMV faxing state to state transfer forms to KIA finance (which KIA finance requested), no action was taken by KIA finance. Every time I call KIA finance, I get different instructions on what to do and/or Emails requesting information that I have previously provided (4 times now). When a ask the Kia representative to speak with a supervisor, the phone is disconnected. If I could give them a zero I would.

I payed my vehicle off in June, and it's now December and I STILL haven't received my title. After calling more than 3 times, they claim it's in the way. Incredibly ridiculous. The car is falling apart and I can't trade it in because I still don't have the title. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, KIA.

Stay away from kia motor finance.

I've been trying to get my title with Kia Motor Finance since I paid off my car in June here is how it has been going so far.
First they told me I needed to fill out an Odometer statement, I did and mailed it to them. They never got it. I faxed it to them, they never got it. They emailed me a way to do it online, at first they never got it. Finally after the second attempt doing it online they received it.
Then they mailed out my title to the wrong address in September. I called about it and gave them the new address. They said they would mail it in 3-5 day. I called back and finally they said it would be mailed in the middle of October.
Since than I have been making ongoing calls to Kia Motor finance. Every time they have told me 3-5 business days. I've talked to managers and nothing changes.
My wife called them last week and they told her my title was set to be mailed out in 1 month from my last request. During that request they told me 3-5 days. She talked to a manager and they promised it would be mailed by 3/4/2020. I just called today and they told me it will be mailed in 3-5 days from today.
I received a ticket for expired tags and will also have to pay penalties for not getting my car tagged in time. This company needs to mail my title asap before I report them to the better business bureau.

Bought a new KIA after turning in another KIA 6 months early. Dealer said no problem, will pay off remaining lease payments, got it in writing, purchased new vehicle. 8 months later bill collection requesting $2200 dollars, and your credit is ALREADY ruined after electronic auto payments for all. Dealer, GERVAIS KIA in LOWELL MASS needed extreme help and persuasion, aka my lawyer tenant, to finally-after 12 trips to the dealer-pay what they had agreed on in writing a year earlier. Years later this still appears on my credit report. DO NOT LEASE A CAR FROM KIA. Thanks for leasing 2 KIAs with perfection payments.

I made the mistake of overpaying my final payment with Kia in April of 2021. I contacted them immediately and told they would send it back in 45 business days. I said that was ridiculous. They said they would expedite the payment. They then supposedly sent the payment to my old address even though they had my new address. Said i'd need to wait for that check to return to them 30 days. I have repeatedly called and customer service tells me they have sent messages and they either haven't responded or say the request had the wrong number associated which delayed payment. Long story short, its now mid-August and I have NO Check. No payment. They are sitting on my money. If I owed them i'd be getting all kinds of threats. But I guess they feel they can screw around with their customers and steal their money. And the kicker is their customer service (who have all been very polite) can't even talk to the people responsible for paying checks. They have to send "messages" which apparently get ignored.

We are on auto pay and they take the payment out up to a week before the due date. Then they say it won't go through and want us to pay for a pay by phone charge because thier system messes up.

I am like many other people during this pandemic, suffering from losing my job. I called and asked for a 1 month forbearance and was told no! My account did not qualify, I explained that I lost my job shortly after purchasing the car and since I hadn't made 6 payments there was nothing they would do to help me out! All other companies I have asked for forbearance has honored it with no questions asked or feeling like I had to pull teeth for the help. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KIA VEHICLE AGAIN!

Was doing fine with Kia Finance until I was charged twice during the holiday season.
I was under false pretense (info I received from a Kia Finance representative... made her confirm TWICE over a recorded line) that my automatic payment wouldn't activate if I paid off a few day prior.
I overpay my bill, as a result, my monthly payments go down. December rolls around, and to save some money for gifts, I paid the minimum payment required.
Not only did the auto-payment take effect, it left my account in the red... ON Christmas week! My birthday is also 12/30. So I had no money to travel to see my family, no money to go out for my birthday if I wanted to, all because misinformation I received. I immediately called Kia Finance, in which they gave me 2 fax lines to submit my bank statement. So on top of everything else, I was forced to spent the last of my petty cash on faxing my information.
It has been 3 weeks and 3 days. I have been contacting Kia Finance ever since and they STILL haven't processed a refund check. I have spoken to supervisors and I still get nowhere. They may as well just kept my payment since another one is due next week.
Unprofessional as far as ethics and sympathy is concerned.
I vow to write a negative review on all review websites every day I do not receive my refund.

I do not normally write a review, but this is completely unacceptable. My 2017 car was totaled in a minor finder bender in November. It took until January to get the insurance company to pay for the car. Gap would not do anything until that had happened. Today is April 3rd, 2020, and the gap insurance policy that i received when I purchased the car from Kia, still say they haven't received one small document from Kia. I was told I had to continue making payments on the car until it was paid off and it has been almost 6 months of dealing with this since I was rear ended. They definitely have made this process as complicated as possible. All I can do is keep calling Kia Customer Service to send the document. They say the request has to go thru them to their Total Loss Department who then handles the request. Going in circles for months and it feels like they don't care! My wife absolutely loved her car and we couldn't afford to get a new one until this one is paid off. So, someone else totaled my car and I don't have a car for six months! After this, I will NOT be buying my wife another Kia.

I purchased my KIA from Hawkinson Kia several years ago hence why I'm still paying for it. I was in a desperate situation and lack of knowledge so I purchased an overpriced vehicle and was financed through Kia Finance company. From the beginning their customer service left much to be desired but why I am truly so DISGUSTING with this company is because the world is slowly reopening they think their customers have miraculously returned to work or have income! I called after emailing twice to get a deferred payment the representative said the program is over today. I said ok Im calling today! They went on to say the deferment program is over we're not doing anything else. I said there's nothing in place for customer who through no fault of there own lost their job and everyone knows how horrible getting unemployment benefits has been in Illinois give me a break. There response was well we've been deferring since March so its not our fault. I just hung up. I pray I can somehow get the money to pay this vehicle off so I will NEVER again have to deal with KIA FINANCE. I'm a strong believer in watch how you treat others. They're driven by nothing but greed. I hope the government doesn't assist in bailing them out. Then they'd know how it feels.
