I paid up front for a 3 for 2 kind of deal. I paid an amount total for 2 years but and the concept was clearly explained to me as "paying up front of 2 years and I'd get the 3rd free." I knew I'd be here a while but they also gave me access to every non-signature gym in the nation which has also worked out great! Gyms have been relatively clean and equipment that breaks is usually fixed in a timely manner. Anyone who goes often will have enough options to choose if other machines are broken or occupied.

Restroom was without soap for two days. I emailed corporate and the only thing they did was email my email to the management of the location that didn't have soap. Nothing was done. Broken soap dispensers, broken toilet seats, constantly out of disinfectant wipes and watered-down soap.

Even though I can't swear, I can't find any other justification for the problem I had in the last week other than unwise and ill-run maintenance, not befitted of a reliable club.
After going through a period of pain and discomfort in my right ear, yesterday I finally pulled out the foreign body you see in the picture with a lot of effort and the help of a colleague at Urgent Care. Its appearance coordinates suggest a high probability of a biological organism!
In fulfilling my responsibility, which is both professional and friendly, I felt it necessary to inform you about such an event.

Worst experience ever, if you want to get a personal trainer don't ever do to LA fitness, I was tricked in the beginning while joining, I had asked for 6 months personal trainer, don't know why in document I signed it says 1 year. Now they are saying there is no way to cancel the personal training sessions and I need to pay half of the remaining year amount around 1400 or I should became a complete disabled person to cancel it! Don't know what to do with this issue! Worst fitness center ever!

Sales rep in Barrie Ontario was not clear on contract, she gets u comfortable & to trust her. In the end La fitness over priced for personal trainer and even advised of a death in family they don't budge.

I've been a member since it opened. I'm ready to quit. I only use pool. Broken tile near showers where people walk barefoot. I go in at 9:00 am, facility opens at 8:00 am. The toilet rooms are not cleaned properly. The pool coping has black mold. The inside of lockers have not been cleaned in months. Shower tiles also are moldy. I used to love going there, not anymore. When you first check in, young people don't greet you. They just stare. Unfriendly. Poorly trained in customer service. When I first joined, the club was ideal. Don't waste your money.

Do a month by month membership at first.

O.K. I am writing another review for this facility since few weeks gone by. The facility cleanness is currently improved because I see that one designate person cleaning the Locker room every day since I submit the first comment. The shower rooms drain are currenty open and allow dirty waters to drain. But indoor swimming areas are still have issue with fealty painting and Crack walls. The indoor sauna were finally open since down six weeks and within the 2 days went back down due to Jet spray didn't works. The indoor running machines are still have issue with schedule maintenance.

Poor Management, Cleanness in doubt
I joined the club 2 weeks ago. I have asked for my printed pass at least 5 times. The employees play ignorance.
I had an appointment with a fitness instructor named Amanda. She did not show up. I asked the front desk who had no clue where she was. I still have not heard from her, a week later.
The club offers sanitized wipes. The wipe dispensers advertise only the hiring of a fitness instructor, not the need to use them on the equipment. I went to exercise 8 times since I joined. I saw only three people wiping the equipment after use. This is not a safe and clean place

Signing up is a hurry up, sign now, with a lot of promises.
Promises are not kept, unavailable or delayed (personal trainers, new equipment, current equipment working...)
Online, print off, mail and wait for confirmation to cancel membership - over a billing period of course.
Too much of a hassle for a gym that doesn't even have hand wipes or garbage cans around the equipment...

LA Fitness has one of the most ridiculous cancellation process of any gym I have ever gone to. I mailed in the form then I was told I would receive a confirmation email. I never got one, then ended up being charged again. Luckily I check my bank account enough. I emailed SEVEN times before I even got a response telling me that my membership had not been cancelled yet but that they had gone through and cancelled it, plus had given me a refund. However, the next month I get another charge. I called their number instead (not the one that's on the website). They told me they had no signs from their side that the membership had been cancelled. Thank god I check my bank account daily. I can't even imagine how much money they steal from people who mail in the form and don't review they bank statements. They proceeded to tell me they "don't do cancellations on weekends" and that I should call back later in the week.

Last Friday at around 7 pm, my locker with a lock was broken into at LA fitness on Kirkman Road in Orlando. The academy did not give any support and worse, the police said that it was not the first time that this happened there. The gym does NOT offer property security for its customers. Terrible.

Would give a zero if I could. Was the most unpleasant experience. Realized I was in the wrong place after two months. Tried to cancel was told no operations manager on location. He tried to get me to go to another location to cancel could not go. Kept charging me for five months. Brand new gym and it was still dirty. Staff tries to sell you the most expensive memberships. There should be a law against running a business like this. Others had warned me of there tactics and I still gave it a chance. Do not make same mistake that I made. Stay clear from joining this gym.

LA Fitness is a racist place. I was racially profiled and the district director Dan, head director Mohammed and membership team member Brent decided that I should walk away and no action needed to be taken, not even a follow up with with witnesses. This is a terrible organization.

And these scammers made him sign a 12 month agreement without letting him know and now he cant cancel it. Even if he changes his card they said they will let it go to collections. Whatever you do, do not sign up with LA fitness place is a scam

All LA Fitness locations lack security cameras. It's known for its terrible rape culture within the company. I was cornered and abused by employees after hours. Followed into the locker room and raped. No cameras. Still in court 5 months later. I was left in the bathroom bleeding.

Worst customer care ever, I've been lied to since the very beginning. Even the BP denied receiving email communication with proof. I called everyday for the manager for 2 weeks straight and everytime I got a run around and I was told I would be followed up with and was never called back. I canceled and they kept charging me in false charges. Save your time energy and money go anywhere else

I joined this gym solely for the pool and the fact that it's open until 10PM. At the Bear location, it is the most unreliable pool I've ever seen. I've had enough experiences where I come only to see it's closed due to no lifeguard for the 3-ft pool that I now call every time before coming. Even once I'm here, now lifeguards take breaks from sitting by the pool reading/on phones and close the pool even if you're in the middle of a swim. I frequently come from 8-10PMish but got kicked out tonight at 9 for a lifeguard break. It's enough that I want to switch gyms, just not nearly consistent enough if rely on the pool for your workout.

Today at 11 am I was at a zumba class at LA Fitness, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, led by Helen N.
There were a few people with their face masks below their noses. One of the customers were upset about it, and the instructor threatened the entire class. She told the class that it is a mandate and that she can and will invoke a $500 fine on anyone in the class not abiding. She was not nice about it at all. It was shocking. I told the Manager and I called LA FItness corporate. Let's see if they call me back.

They do not have good service, once you sign up and make the payment the policies changes. They do every thing to make you happy before signing after that you are of no value to them. I am stuck as i have paid initiation fee for a year

Do not take long term membership. Go to other gym, they are cheap and better

Ongoing issues with some L. A. Fitness facilities. Currently going to Glenside/Abington. Multiple treadmills are not operational at any given time. The inside temperature is VERY hot, even on cooler days... more hot and humid inside than outside! I've complained to the front desk and the facilities manager; was told the corporate office sets the temp. It's not even safe.

They make you print out a cancellation form and mail it to them to cancel, I did this and still my membership was not cancelled. I only found out today these a$$holes have been charging me and I haven't worked out there in over a year and half. They have a terrible cancellation policy and no one could help me over the phone. I have not experienced this with other gyms.

Our Personal Trainer ( J Y) is experienced and knowledgeable. Both my wife and I are happy with our training routines. Our Trainer corrects any misused techniques and is quite knowledgeable on the Human Anatomy assuring we do our exercises correctly to resolve and strengthen any weak points.
Very patient, very friendly and easy to work with, we highly recommend "J Y" as a personal trainer.

If you are considering working as a partime custodian at la fitness and your white blue eyes mature with 40 years experience and have great communication with all members an give precent of myself if your not bilingual only speak English and all co- workers speak Spanish be careful it could happen to you
