This was my first golf getaway. The golf courses were beautiful. It was busy but everyone kept pace.
The accommodations were fine. It was clean, someone attended every morning to clean and it had a full kitchen. The only thing was it was short on utensils.
The clubhouse was also fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Being Vegan, the food choices were slim. When we went for lunch, our server Ashley went out of her way to check with the kitchen for options. After that, she had lunch options everyday for me. I truly appreciated the extra effort. My teammate seemed satisfied with the non vegan options.
Overall, a very enjoyable golf trip. Since we played highest score wins, I did very well:-)
The trip was a really bad spring break - crowded courses - over booking of tee times. A lot of sloppy drunk guys and really bad food and drinks. Let say you get what you pay for just because they say free breakfast, lunch and drinks doesn't mean it is good. The drinks are watered down - the food isn't edible and we have seen golfers stuffing food in their plastic bags. It can't get any worst.
Our group of 12 decided to try this resort we had been to Myrtle Beach before and had a good time so thought we would give it a try big mistake. The courses we crowded and what should have been a 4 hour tee time turned into 6 hours and we couldnt make an afternoon round. We will never again.
Worst golf experience ever - this resort is full of people who just want to drink and get sloppy - hold ups everywhere with bar cart hold ups so all player can get another drink well they don't need another drink. This course is already overbooked as it is and this makes it so much worse. We didn't even finish our round because we would have been there another 4+ hours.
We traveled to myrtle beach from Peoria IL. Paid $100 green fees. We get on Moorland's 1st green and it was completely gone. Every course's green was horrible. There was no mention of this before the round and did nothing to compensate us afterwards. And the food was less then satisfactory - just because they say free doesn't mean it shouldn't be quality food. Our group comes down every year to Myrtle Beach and have never had this happen. I know of other groups from the central Illinois area who take the myrtle trip yearly and I will be sure to pass on the word to not play legends courses.
Could book the course we wanted so we booked moorland golf course and it was the biggest mistake. The customer service is soo bad and our tee-time was delayed over an hour - never again.
