Keeps saying my bf and I are places we are NOT! Says I'm leaving work at different times of the day, and putting me in a neighborhood right across from my job... WHICH is where my boss lives, so yeah... NOT GOOD! This app and a jealous bf dont mix... even if your not a jealous person, it lays the seed of doubt! Beware!
I have this tracking app on my granddaughters phones. The app cost $0. My oldest granddaughter is visiting a friend in California. I get a text from the app...
Life360 detected sudden motion on Lucy's phone. This could be the result of a collision, hard braking, or a dropped phone. We suggest that you call Lucy to check on them.
So we tracked her phone and sent her pictures of exactly where it was. Incidentally, it was on the side of Pacific Coast Hwy. She left it on top of the car. Still works like a charm. Scared the crap out of her grandfather and I. Also got a follow-up text from Life360 that they had reached Lucy. Great app. End of story.
Used to be a great app, even though there were some problems with location accuracy. A few weeks ago, they introduced a new UI and a new version which compromised on performance and accuracy. Today they have tried to restore to the old version, but not quite. They have half restored it. When you click on a person to see where they are, the focus does no longer go to that person. It seems like sloppy testing team :(
I have been home with my husband all day. We checked to see if my son made it to work and it has me in 3 different areas over 50 miles away. Showed I took a, 72 mile trip in 2 minutes. Now have to apologize for trusting app over my son the other night when it showed him somewhere else.
I like the functionality, I have tried to get the app NOT to drain my battery but to no avail. Last 7 day average is 24% drain. SUCKS! And their own data will show you that Life360 uses the least battery. LOL - - I really don't know if that is a true statement or not but my independent studies on my stuff are fabulous too! Either way this sucks!
Completely unreliable. Doesn't update location, or shows me a "No network or phone off" message, when that's not the case.
This is for the free service - thank goodness I haven't signed up for any paid service. I wanted to try it out first. Thank goodness I did. In comparison, when my kids share their location with me via Find My, it is 100% accurate all of the time.
I have free 360 for more than a year, in a circle of 4 family members. This is great app for family with kids. I was thinking about upgrading to premium and get to read some of the reviews. Most of them are lies, I understand this more personal for most of you. This summer my kid traveled to east Asia for multi country trip. I watched her on free 360 real time with pin point accuracy ( terminal to terminal in airports). Please be kind.
I hate the fact that people in my "circle" can see where I am at constantly and I can't turn my location off because of the owner. This will not let me do anything and it is a very big invasion of privacy
This app can be very accurate but most of time time it's not. The problem is mainly the timing. Whatever location it shows, most probably the person was really there... at some point. So the problem is that even if you just spent there 2 minutes it will appear as you were there for 2 hours. It can cause massive arguments.
I would not recommend to use it for couples with trust issues.
Just trust. If someone wants to cheat... he/she will. It's not your problem :)
App will notify me that a family member "just arrived" at a location, but when I look, they're still at home. Emailed tech support, only to be told that it was likely a phone problem. I told them it wasn't possible for 9 phones (9 family members) to have the same issue. After several obnoxious emails from them, I blocked their tech support. Highly advise this app NOT be used... not worth the money.
The accuracy of this app is horrible. It either tells me a family member cannot be located or places the person at the wrong place ( four hours at the bus stop?!?!). Pity... I was really hoping it would work.
Ok, so I never take the time to review stuff, but this takes the freaking cake, and now that I have read other reviews on this app I understand I am not alone. I just spent an hour convincing my wife that I was not cheating on her because of the locations in this app being WAY OFF! And showing me to have been in places I wasn't. It actually showed two separate trips at two separate times during the day to unknown residential areas that I have never been too, all during a period of time that I never left my office building! Not sure how this happens when you never even leave the F N building?!?! I understand a lack of accuracy at times, but this was just plain showing walks and trips I have never taken, to areas I have never been to?!?! Try to explain this to your wife when you are out of town on a business trip! I'm serious... you people gotta fix this crap before you tear up a marriage! I added two pics below to show what was being seen. I never left the freaking building!
I use this on my iPhone all the time. My husband travels weekly (long flights + long drives) so I use it to see when he's on the road vs in a meeting vs at a hotel so I don't call at a bad time. When we're both home I don't really check it - it will let me know when he's on his way home from the office and that's enough for me. Overall just great for coordinating and being able to tell if people are safe without bugging them. Once my kids have cell phones I will definitely ask that they keep this running. I don't like the idea of not being able to get in touch with someone, or found myself, if there's an emergency.
I haven't had any experiences with really random locations being reported but I don't like look back at my husband's day. I don't have time for that.
I should have visited this site before I purchase this app, it's the worst ever app I have used to detect my family's movements,.
It freezes on one place for days, it is very slow, it tells you where you are hours after you actually leave. And guess what? No refund given.
So I've been using that app for awhile but I swear every time they update it, it just gets worse... I'm so disappointed in it and probably gonna delete it and find something better unless they're willing to fix these issues
- Has issues loading current location I have to constantly close the app completely and then go back to it and even sometimes then it doesn't load.
- My MAJOR issue is that they removed from when it said "last updated" so I have no idea where my child is or when the last time it was updated and that is so upsetting! I hope they fix this problem but until then I don't think I want to use this app anymore!
When I first got this app it was awesome... they need to quit trying to make changes to it cause it's just ruining it and stressing me out for the worries of where my child is at!
My husband and I have used the free version of this app for years and we have always enjoyed it. I have had a piece of mind knowing that he knows where I am and can get to me easily in the event of an emergency... especially when he is traveling. But last night (Wednesday) while I was in bed asleep, the app notified my husband and said that I had left the house at 11:14 pm and returned at 11:44 pm. I haven't left my house since I came in from work on Tuesday. I was sound asleep and didn't know that my husband was trying to reach me until I woke up this morning. He stayed awake and worried all night. I can't begin to tell you just how upset I am right now.
Don't use this app if you want to keep your relationship in tact and solid.
This has my daughter leaving@ 4 am and coming back at 5:30 am... I just Want to see if it it ever inaccurate before I accuse her of leaving in the middle of the night, its such a random address and she doesn't drive so it doesn't seem plausible but I could be wrong I just don't want to punish her if she hasn't done anything. I haven't asked her about it yet. Does this happen to anyone else?
Parents, if you are considering Life360 to track your teenager - think again. All your child has to do is turn off the cell data for Life360 (only) at point A and then turn it back on again when they get to an 'approved' location, point B. Life360 gives no indication that cellular GPS tracking has been turned off and moreover depicts on the map that the child has moved only from Point A to Point B when in fact the child could have been anywhere. It gives parents a very false sense of security.
With 3 teenagers I've been using Life360 for several years - blissfully ignorant of its shortcomings. I just cancelled my subscription
This app is great I don't know Why it's has bad ratings. Personally I think little kids are rating it badly because they are trying to not get tracked anymore by making the AppStore take it down once it's at 1 star.
It's not accurate. It has notified me that my daughter has left home when she is sitting in the same room as I am. It has done this 3 times in the past month. Today it said she left school and she is still at school. It seems to have gotten worse here lately So don't let this App ruin any relationship! It LIES!
Answer: It shows accurate time just a wrong location...
