This is an excellent app for getting jobs online and also an excellent platform for getting online work and jobs the best feature is that this is an excellent platform to promote your business online
I've been a LinkedIn user for quite some time and have spent years building my connections. Recently, my account was hacked, and when I reached out to LinkedIn for help, they responded by sending a password reset link. Unfortunately, this reset link was sent directly to the hacker. I then received several emails, one notifying me that my password had been reset, followed by another saying that my two-step verification had been changed, and finally, one stating that my name had been altered. LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft, essentially handed my account over to the hacker. If you are a business or someone seeking work, I would caution against using LinkedIn, as their support is extremely poor, and it seems easier for hackers to gain access to accounts than for legitimate users to recover them.
So how has it become to be true that you MUST have a professional profile on linkedin in order to get a job today? How did this happen? Are they in cahoots with companies? Recruiters? They don't provide any value or service to me at all, in fact they cause me more harm than good. But I have to have a profile just because you have to or you don't exist. Not only do I have to have a profile but when you list your experience and your education you MUST select dates! Of course I could just lie, which I think I will now and I'm sure a lot of people do too. I feel there's a lot of "puffery" on profiles. This makes it easy to discriminate based on older aged workers. It's like a dating site for business and I would bet money that some people are rejected for jobs based on their profile pictures for one reason or another.
Linkedin uses our info for free and sells their data mining services ( platform profiles) to companies/individuals for lead generation. Linkedin is JUST ANOTHER SOCIAL PLATFORM SELLING OUR DATA FOR PROFITS.
I can see how it's helpful for some members on Linkedin and perhaps they get a lot of value from it but this platform could be so more than it is. How about distributing all the profits they make from our info to all the members.

Probably a little know fact that Whores (Old one in my case) are using LinkedIn to HOOK up with successful gray haired men. Once they HOOK up with them on LINKEDIN they move off site to a cell phone to finish them off. If a victim tries to fight back against the WHORE, LINKEDIN blocks the victim and allows the WHORE to continue doing business via their web site. My own personal experience! Marriage of almost 40 years destroyed by a TX WHORE. I pulled a background check on this WHORE and found out who she really was. She was a WHORE with conviction and multiple marriages. OH, but the way that Whore dumped my husband once she found out I was playing hard ball with the Divorce settlement. I can't believe LinkedIn is allowing Whores to do their business on their web site. They can only claim ignorance until someone like me points one out to them. If they continue to let this WHORE do her business on their web site, then that are party to it. If I did not live in a no fault state, I would have named them in addition to naming the Whore in my Divorce proceedings.
I was unemployed when I went on this site and it tried to make me purchase premium to message someone which is absolutely criminal
Not happy with quality of the product, also the size, I was looking for a Banner to put it in the business as sign
My account got restricted. I'm not sure what I did wrong other than not wanting to put my full name public on the internet.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use LinkedIn.
A good thing to use for finding new jobs and acquaintances for professional growth. Also helps to stay in touch with your former colleagues.
I have been trying very hard to get support with an ongoing issue I have with LinkedIn. This has been dragging on for months, and yet the problem has yet to be resolved. Their "member support" keeps asking the same questions of me, over and over and over -- it appears that each agent that gets handed my issue, doesn't take the time to review the history, so they go to their "flip chart" and say, "You just need to do XYZ, and your problem will be solved". Unfortunately, if they had read my file, they would have seen that I have already tried "XYZ" (and A through W, as well), and that these steps have done absolutely NOTHING to help resolve my problem. On top of that, they have thrice said that they couldn't find a resolution, so the have kicked the issue up to their "Research Team". Unfortunately, their "Research Team" has done nothing but re-suggest the same tested-and-failed flip-chart solutions I have already proven ineffective, so they are also useless.
Bottom line: If you want to use LinkedIn -- good luck. As long as all you want to do is make connections, you'll likely be fine. BUT, if something goes haywire and all of the sudden your email server is overwhelmed with input from LinkedIn that you cannot stop, and their "Member Support Team" is your only hope, then you have NO HOPE!
Yep, you heard it. I use LinkedIn for my lead generation process and it works fine, but daaaamn their plans are super expensive!
LinkedIn has helped me and my professional career incredibly! It is sooo easy to network and connect with past employers
A muslim guy named Firaz over LinkedIn openly abused our Prime Minister Narendra Modi by commenting on a post of 15th August speech by Prime Minister. When I reported this on LinkedIn, I got a response that this abusive derogatory comment doesn't go against their community standards on LinkedIn. To the shock I decided to gave a befitting reply to that guy and asked him to leave my country if he didn't like being here and can go to any neighbouring terrorist countries. This is not just one example, there were several post abusing Hindus and Narendra Modi. When I opposed those post, LinkedIn suddenly restricted my account.
But to my surprise they even refused to delete my account and related data they are holding and said until and unless you apologize we will not delete your account. Its like they didn't liked me calling an extremist mentality a terrorist. LinkedIn is now asking for ransom and threating me of not deleting my personal data until I apologise. Their love for terrorist and extremist has evolved to the next level. I will not be surprised if tomorrow linkedin started blocking someone's account because they called Taliban terrorist. Please someone help in getting my data and personal information deleted from LinkedIn.
I sent an email with a forwarded email I received from them and explained this Mark Johnson (fake name?) guy who claims to be some exec* gave them the wrong email address. They returned an email stating the email address I sent to them is no longer valid (it was a customer service address - I guess they're saying they no longer have customer service) and to log in and search around the help section. Hellooooo, not everyone is dumb enough to have a linkedin account. I am not about to sign up with a company who doesn't see the need to protect information and take issues on complaints. Everything they needed to know was right there in my email with the forwarded email I had received. It's quite clear they don't care about security issues.
There is NO way to contact them when someone is fraudulently using your email address. From LinkedIns reviews I'm guessing fraudulent use of my email address isn't the only less than consumer friendly issues LinkedIn has.
I'm saving the emails I received and sent, but I don't think I should put a photo of them here. It's bad enough my email appears to be attached to a fraudulent account with a company who just doesn't care what's going on.
If they clearly aren't concerned about these sort of issues - I wouldn't sign up because I seriously doubt your information is important to them either.
*not listing company just in case there is such an idiot and such a company. There are 1000s with this name.
Scammy site continues to charge me for months after I canceled a premium trial. Not helpful for finging work. It is mostly a self-mastrubatory site for professional douche-bags
Tip for consumers:
Avoid like the plague
My LinkedIn account was temporarily restricted without warning. I have had the account for over 17 years and have been respectful and rarely active on it. Out of nowhere, I tried to log in and found out that I have been temporarily restricted, no reason given. I was asked to provide my ID although I felt uncomfortable doing it, decided to do it hoping I wont regret it. Not heard back, no response to my numerous emails, not a word. I had also recently opted for the premium (thank God I did not use my credit card but used PayPal) I have been able to cancel my subscription. For the first time in 17 years, I am not questioning whether I actually need LinkedIn in my life. The feeling of being controlled, almost a power trip is very unsettling for me. Reading through people's comments I now see I am not alone. I still haven't heard back, I have never posted anything on LinkedIn (ever) I merely like comments and careful of what I 'like' and be respectful yet I have been temporarily restricted and efforts to get a response to my email has been ignored. There is something about how they operate in a 'controlling' and bullish manner that makes me wonder whether this may be a blessing in disguise. I do hope someone is working in the 'underground' to come up with a better professional platform where people are treated with respect and where they have a great customer service that people can reach out to. LinkedIn may feel dominants in this space today, its just a matter of time before a better platform is launched my someone on the sideline seeing the appealing way LinkedIn currently operates. There are so many important things in life than being on a social medial platform especially the one that treats people appallingly. No employer would hold it against any candidate who doesn't have a LinkedIn profile. So if restricting my account is to 'punish' people and display power it will certainly backfire. I have lived long enough to see giant companies who felt people couldn't do without them become insignificant.
Tip for consumers:
For anyone reading this that has had their account restricted and they are pulling their hair out because they dont know what to do- relax, see it as a blessing in disguise
Sometimes the searching is difficult where it doesn't show new people. Needs to be creative sometimes on what keywords you are searching for.
Im getting sick and tired of getting emails that tell me to add people to my network when I dont even know them.
Since they updated with new look website my connections are now a fraction. New look is not appealing at all. Lots of bugs
There's no way to find ACTUAL information on this site, it's full of fake names, fake jobs and that's why if you find someone on this website, you're finding a FAKE! NOTHING IN THERE IS LEGIT!
LinkedIn is like facebook, but boring... And you can communicate with your colleagues about your work.
Ellen Corkrum is a helicopter pilot who is a Harvard University graduate with a master's degree in Public Administration and Corcrum to keep an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The site is full of Scams now and the trust and safety team even rejected my report of scam to them. Unbelievable.
It's ok, but their prices are outrageous. They need to be better when it comes to getting rid of scammers who use their platform to scam users.
I love their job application platform. It's super easy. I like when things are easy. If only they made all companies who offer jobs use their system.
I love LinkedIn. It is a great tool with connecting with other people in the same industry as me throughout the world.
It is currently the best website for professional networking, for job search, to get to know about top executives & many more...
He lets us integrate with the company and the world many companies have the same dream like-minded people in line! Thumbs up!
