“Avoid they have serious security breaches”

Wayne D.

I've been a LinkedIn user for quite some time and have spent years building my connections. Recently, my account was hacked, and when I reached out to LinkedIn for help, they responded by sending a password reset link. Unfortunately, this reset link was sent directly to the hacker. I then received several emails, one notifying me that my password had been reset, followed by another saying that my two-step verification had been changed, and finally, one stating that my name had been altered. LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft, essentially handed my account over to the hacker. If you are a business or someone seeking work, I would caution against using LinkedIn, as their support is extremely poor, and it seems easier for hackers to gain access to accounts than for legitimate users to recover them.

Good place for finding jobs and finding more people in your field of activity but depending on your connections and feed can sometimes go in the direction of social media (annoying articles, quizes and quotes)

I am am long-term, premium plan user with an all star profile. I pay for advertising and job postings. I can't believe LinkedIn is taking away premium filters. Premium filters and unlimited search results are the only reason I pay for a premium account. I used sales navigator and it sucks. It's not worth the money I could be paying for RainKing or DemandDB. Now I have to re-think whether premium is worth the money. Whomever made this decision mad a bade one.

We have two accounts and one professional and one business and after constant marketing from LinkedIn. We decided yet again to pay for a service that in essence we constantly fight with LinkedIn on!
It says we have used all our Inmails yet we had not actually used them! We are constantly restricted trying to connect with people which defeats the object of the exercise! The only winner is LinkedIn they take our money then prevent and restrict us and then they will not answer any questions or justify actions! Simply arrogant! Our business account was restricted without any notification ajd explanation when we had actually been querying our other account which we them for and they don't answer the queries! Then just do this! LinkedIn is an apalling company and the hide behind closed doors behaviour is a disgrace and not ok!
I hope a competitor comes forward sooner rather than later as it's not acceptable conduct!

Site is full of pretentious narcissists! IIt's literally Facebook for problematic corporate/career nutjobs! Mark Cogan has an interesting post on the topic ("LinkedIn Profile Rankings: Feeding Narcissism?"

Linkedin.com appears to be Liberal-controlled playing politics and Banning people without facts.
When facts are shared proving your case you may still be banned any belief to the contrary will have your account shut down. They have joined the Ranks of Fascistbook. I would not pay for their services and leave their platform. I was banned for posting a video of a vaccine-injured person trying to warn others of the dangers of the Covid 19 Vaccine. They tried to say the video is misleading. I posted VAERS reports back to them with backed up CDC data and they banned me.

Tip for consumers:
Don't USE them they are for Tyranny and against our Bill of Rights. They don't support freedom of speech and do not let facts be shared, only misinformation on bogus vaccine safety. The covid vaccine does not have FDA approval and only has Emergency Authorization, Children died during the trials. People have been Neurologically damaged by the vaccine. Linkedin was bought off by Microsoft. Bill Gates is heavily invested in pharma. Our constitutional rights are being attacked.

As a business site I have had the pleasure of reacquainting with old friends and employers.
But, antivaxxer, Q-Anon and Seditionists have taken over.
I think the FBI And other federal officials should pay close attention to LinkedIn eh.
Seriously considering deletion eh.

This is essentially a flawed website, whoever has designed it, and like Parler needs to be banned.
There is a possibility there will be a bad outcome on this Linkedin website someday due to unlimited cyberbullying oppurtunity on this site with no regulations whatsoever.
I'm currently being cyberbullied daily on this website for past TWO YEARS by my co-workers.On the 'people's also viewed' section these sick and twisted individuals are displaying profiles daily such as hoo, frodsham, HIV, STDs.At one point hundreds and hundreds involved in this.

The police and HR can do nothing because Linkedin has given a platform where you dont need to mention the victim's name. A bunch of crooks can come together on this shady website and display unlimited amount of profiles, anytime of the day.
Linkedin to date has done nothing about this.

I posted 2 jobs on the Linkedin website, and within a couple of weeks, I was charged $300 without getting any response from any applicant. I canceled the posts and tried to call Linkedin. I found 2 numbers for LinkedIn on the internet, and I tried to call these numbers which leads me to nobody to talk to. I tried to cancel my credit card on their website and I cannot do that. So please, don't trust them in anything and don't do any business with them.

Currently I have more than 500 connection on LinkedIn, with the help of LinkedIn connections, I am able to find people those who have new opputunities for me. Services of LinkedIn are awesome, follow those whome you like. LinkedIn is very user friendly and easy to use, services like endorsement is really useful, sending invites is very important to create new connections. LinkedIn is very optimized it's loading time is very less or its depends on internet connection speed. Chat service of LinkedIn is nice, so you can chat with your connections and get new opportunities in your carrier. Linked support is great, they reply very quickly.

There is a false mindset with recruiters that if you doesn't uploaded profile in linked-in then you are not a genuine candidate. Linked is not an authorized institution to say whether profile is genuine or fake. If you find a profile is genuine will you give it a credit to them or if you find a profile is fake then will you claim or sue linked in. This is just a social networking where genuine and fake exist together

This site is not user friendly and charges monthy fees. www.bthebusinessnetwork.com is kind of like LinkedIn but it is free and it is an online office. Linkedin charges a monthly fee and does not have great online office software. B is an online office and social networking website and it does not charge a monthly fee.

It's a POS site that can lock you out and wants you to upload a picture of your actual driver's license to verify you are who you are after you already verified you are who you are, screw LinkedIn! There is no way I will give them access to my driver's license just to play with their useless site. LinkedIn sucks and they are a waste of time for every user everywhere.

The reason for this review is that LinkedIn is now asking me to upload my ID on their. I say that's BS. I don't have to do that on any other Media. Does tge Government ask illegal immigrants for Voter ID. I guess I'm done with LinkedIn.
Have a nice day

My card was charged $500 today for something I didn't authorize, no contact number or ability to speak to anyone for a full 12 hours. I finally get a reply after navigating through their confusing help portal, and the rep is refusing to refund me saying I signed up for a free trial and because it wasn't canceled they aren't going to refund me. I explained I didn't authorize the charge nor use the service in any capacity, and they still refused. Now I have to go through my bank and cancel the card to get the money back. How this company still exists is beyond me. There is no connections being made, just a bunch of scammers and spammers including the support reps.

Tip for consumers:
Don't even go to this site, do not EVER GIVE them your credit card information, they will just go to town with it and won't refund you.

After years of using (on and off) LinkedIn (I don't like LI particularly... But working in the branch I work in, I need it), I decided to try their Premium.
The first month is free, isn't it?!

Well, LI Premium is OK. The training/courses are very nice. Some other additions too.
It is expensive, though. Therefore, I decided not to renew. Next, I got an offer I could not refuse. 50% discount for the following 2 months.

I accepted the offer on February 7th, 2024.
Last week, I needed to hibernate LI for a few days. Only to see, after activating again (two days later), that my Premium was gone.
When I tried to renew, I had to pay the full price. Starting immediately.

When I finally found where I could contact support I sent an email. Why do big companies almost make it impossible to find support contact information? And make a FAQ where your question never is mentioned?!

There was no reply to the online help request, no I received an"email that the amount will be refunded. From a "no reply" email address. I don't want a refund.
So, I responded to the case in my LI account.

Guess what?! You cannot hibernate with a Premium account, so your account automatically will pushed to a normal account when you hibernate.
And guess what?! They will not refund you until you complain after activating again. This is my conclusion. Thus, receiving a lot of money that they had do to nothing for.

I checked the page where you hibernate your LI account (screenshots attached).
There is no info that Premium will be cancelled when you hibernate LI.
There is info about this on another LI info page, yet not when hibernating.
This is purely to get themself covered by law, don't tell me about it. Have done the job.
But, in fact, it is scamming!

I requested the email address where I can file a complaint. No answer.

Products used:
Be sure you never Hibernate when buying LI Premium. And when you need to do it, request immediately a refund. They will not refund themselves. and thus earning a lot of money with this.

My account was restricted for some reason. I contacted customer support three separate times to get my account unrestricted or at least know why my account was restricted.

After contacting their support, I was told it was because of a "misrepresented identity".

After elevation since that never happened, I was then told it wasn't because of a misrepresented identity, but they still wouldn't tell me why my account was restricted.

After I asked why they wouldn't tell me why my account was restricted, they said the privacy policy says they can't tell me (I read through the privacy policy multiple times, and there is nothing even somewhat referencing this, they directly lied to me). They refused to give me the location of this "policy" on the privacy policy when asked.

I have been trying to get in-touch with LinkedIn's legal team, but they have not responded or seem to mind that their customer support is making up legal information.

LinkedIn started asking me to type in digits from an authenticator in order to log in. I know my username and password, but still it asks for this. I have Google and Microsoft Authenticators. When I try to add LinkedIn to the authenticators, it says to scan the QR code. When I look up where to find the QR Code, it says to open the app and click on Me at the top. Kinda hard to do that when my problem is I can't log into the app. To get chat or any kind of help, I need to log into the app. The only help for logging in is to reset the password, but I know my password. I have been unable to find any answer in any forum so I can no longer access my account.

I created my linkedin account in 2016 if I remember correctly and because I wasn't really sure what is it about, I used a dummy name to register. In 2017 or so that I decided to start using linkedin, I changed name to my real name, added a bio, picture, my works and everything. Three years later, they suspend my account and after appealing with my real passport, they say that this is not the account owner name, which is ridiculous. I explained to them many times that I used a dummy name to create the account (something like John Whisp), which isn't even a greek name. Also, they wasted all my time and connections, because of their bad system. Why they allowed me to change my name if they gonna nag to me after years? If I couldn't change name back then, I would simply make a new account with my real name. Very bad customer support, ignoring all the context.
