“Avoid they have serious security breaches”

Wayne D.

I've been a LinkedIn user for quite some time and have spent years building my connections. Recently, my account was hacked, and when I reached out to LinkedIn for help, they responded by sending a password reset link. Unfortunately, this reset link was sent directly to the hacker. I then received several emails, one notifying me that my password had been reset, followed by another saying that my two-step verification had been changed, and finally, one stating that my name had been altered. LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft, essentially handed my account over to the hacker. If you are a business or someone seeking work, I would caution against using LinkedIn, as their support is extremely poor, and it seems easier for hackers to gain access to accounts than for legitimate users to recover them.

Hi, I would like to say that am unhappy because if I want to contact someone who's not connected to me as a friend then I get this: "messaging Rhea and other people not in your network will require a premium subscription". The premium subscription costs £50 every month. In that case every month I have to pay £50 for just a one person that I won't often be chatting her. This is very unfortunate. I saw your response on Google Playstore but you haven't done anything about it. Make it free available to others to message to others who aren't connected then if they refuse to respond then they can have the options to disconnect so their messages won't be received. Even if I had £3000 or £5000 I would not pay for the premium to chat only one person. That is it.

LinkedIn falls in the same category as those small cutthroat "businesses" that offer a premium subscription to their product only to find out they hit you with a one time or recurring automatic billing that blindsides you. Only LinkedIn goes bigger than those smaller outfits to the tune of more than $500.00. $575.88 to be exact. If you do read the small print you may be able to catch the scam but that's my point, beware, watch out for what LinkedIn is capable of.

This is a legit site used by many professionals to get connected and get jobs.
I was headhunted and also managed to get connected with many nice people here.
The premium service is not useful enough to continue, though.

Neaseating in its fake perspective? Well, I used to work in engineering design in the oil industry. Since 2014 the industry world wide has been dessimated. Maybe 40 % of all people with no work, hundreds of thousands of people searching for some alternative thing to do with their lives. You would never guess it from browsing LinkedIn. Only posts about successfully completed projects along with photos of infrastructure and smiling faces. Business as normal. People constantly complaining that it's a professional discussion forum and not for chatter like Facebook. When it is pointed out that this concept has a prerequisite that people actually require to be in a profession, it goes over their heads like a Boeing 747. FAKE. OUT OF TOUCH REALITY FAKE. As for a mechanism for making professional contacts to reinvigorate job opportunities, forget it. Loads of Indian nationals posting " review my profile" in response to posts about completed projects by companies not seeking people.

Website/App is useful. But has lots of bugs and issues. Mainly, even after loading/refreshing the 'Home' page, it keeps on showing the old posts. What it should do is, when the 'Home' page gets refreshed/reloaded, the posts should be arranged from the most recent to the old ones.

Hi All, My LinkedIn account was just terminated, I had over 1000 connections, They said it is because I posted "Misleading information" Not sure if it is one of the links to a peer reviewed article from a creditable source, or a "like" to someone who questioned the need to mandate COVID vaccines, who questioned the safety vs efficiency in different age groups. They looked up my information in factcheck- and the answer they got from a journalist who works there was it was false... no reference to any peer reviewed article, no backing to their statement.
You may think LinkedIn is "Free" but we all pay a large price to be part of it. Our freedom of thought.

I am now with 500+ connections and really happy to be here. Within my connections I am easily able to find the useful connection and it's really helpful. I am still exploring all the potential features of linkedin. Let's see.

One of the best social networking site in recent times. Its been an very good website to be part of as it provided opportunity to me to connect with different working people. It also helped me to connect with friends who belongs to different working community. It also acts as job portal for job seekers who are in need of job. It has helped me to endorse my friends to different people who are in need of resources. Linkedin is very powerful social networking site as many recruiters are looking for talented candidates in different streams in this site.

I found LinkedIn to be a good professional service, however I was disappointed to find that my trial was automatically transferred to a premium membership and I was charged a monthly fee. I contacted their customer support and they were helpful in refunding the fee, however I found this to be a bit deceptive and so I have downgraded my 5 star rating

Tip for consumers:
The free trial will automatically be upgraded to premium and you’ll be charged the fee. Also subscriptions and payments cannot be viewed on a mobile browser

Products used:
I signed up for the free trial, but was automatically upgraded to a premium service and charged without my knowledge. Customer support was honest and helpful in refunding the fee

I find that people on there are educated up the Ying yang. I'm very intimidated on there. I closed my account. The people I see on there are not Blue collar. If they had something similar but not so education centric, I might join it.

They booted me for posting my personal info.
My own personal info.
Not anyone else my own.

State farm has the hand in the pockets of linkedin.

I am about to sue LinkedIn. I have apparently violated LinkedIn policies because I called someone an idiot because he claimed that the Ukrainian war is because of narcissi clown Volodymyr Zelensky. I told him that he has absolutely no clue about Ukraine and their people, and he is an idiot claiming something like that. I got locked out of LinkedIn and now they don't even allow me to delete my account and all my data. The just keep telling me that I have violated their policies. I know that, but the way they are handling this issue is exactly why I don't want to hear about LinkedIn anymore and want all y data to be deleted and my account closed. They just simply ignore all my requests. This is a violation of my rights on a big scale!
I never benefited from LinkedIn ever at all, it's a total waste of time. This people are more saint than pope himself, at least they think they are, but they are nothing but government and Microsoft puppies
You can't imagine how vicious they can be!

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from linkedIn. Since they have been acquired by Microsoft they are nothing but data collecting company. And that is why they don't want to delete your data.

Linkedin wants a copy of my DL to verify my account. That is a crazy way to do business. All I was doing was setting up a account and trying to pay for a jobs post. Screw that, I will post for jobs elsewhere. What a crap way to do business! I would give 0 stars if I could.

Linkedin has been very deceptive with their billing techniques. I tried to contact their billing department and could not get a response. They have no phone customer support and I have been left with a $300 charge which I did not authorize and a product which I did not use.

Google lead me to this site as I was looking for an old acquaintance of mine who's services I was in need of. Not only did I find him, I got in contact with him and got the help I needed too. That wasnt the only thing I liked, I was also happy I found many other connections and old faces and discovered what they were now doing for business that I would not have found if it weren't for a website like this. Thanks for the great service!

No free speech allowed on site. They have communist agenda. They promotes pedophilia. Needs to have this site removed from online view as it is a disgrace as they have policies in place to destroy what the USA stands for.

For a cxompany of this size nd based on the fees we pay, how does Linkedin look in the mirror with a straigh face. They are horrible in CS its embarrassing their behavior as if they care not about the service and how important it is day to day. Hire more people if you have too many responses, thats what respomsive companies do!

I signed up for the additional services on LinkedIn but didn't need them, so canceled within the initial trial period. LinkedIn has charged me monthly for 18 months despite canceling the service in the allotted time, canceling my subscription completely, working with my bank, canceling my credit card twice and trying every phone number possible to speak to customer service. All the numbers are out of service, even the ones our bank has. I consider this fraudulent and am agast that this company acts so unprofessionally. No wonder there's a class action suit in California.

Vile people who are clearly too big for their boots. Killing accounts for posting links to World renowned scientists. Scientists who are also harrassed by Linkedin. Also taking monies without permission. Generally harrassing+initmidating members who express mainstream even majority political views.
Those who get censored content uncensored have their accounts locked out for weeks.
Bullying and locking member accounts and demanding to see people's passport details. Big Brother is upon us.
Linkedin are nothing but pondlife. Keep your bullying extremist evil in California. The civilised World is utterly repulsed by you.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid this site. Don't waste lots of time and effort building up a profile for their extremists to kill your account off for no reason other than authoritarianist bullying.

One of our competitors is using our URL on linked in and has established a business page for his business. All of the information on the page associated with our URL relates to the competing business and we are not able to establish a page ourselves because our URL is already being used.
Linked in do not consider this to be a copyright infringement and refuse to help resolve this issue.

Thanks so much for the non response "Fiona"

I have an older LI file and want to merge it with my newer file. This is paramount to finding me. However I can not get LI to help with this. I follow the instructions. They don't respond to Customer Support #1.
#2 People keep responding tat they accept my invites however I'm not inviting them?
People aren't responding like they use to, can't find people like I use to. I think LI has about run its course...

This website allows professionals to join and document their experience & accomplishments. Great idea. However, the site does not investigate the accuracy of an individual's claim, or accomplishments. I have found that the majority of people entering information on this site are exagerating their experience and accomplishments. No documentation is prodivded to substantiate what they are claiming.
