“Avoid they have serious security breaches”

I've been a LinkedIn user for quite some time and have spent years building my connections. Recently, my account was hacked, and when I reached out to LinkedIn for help, they responded by sending a password reset link. Unfortunately, this reset link was sent directly to the hacker. I then received several emails, one notifying me that my password had been reset, followed by another saying that my two-step verification had been changed, and finally, one stating that my name had been altered. LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft, essentially handed my account over to the hacker. If you are a business or someone seeking work, I would caution against using LinkedIn, as their support is extremely poor, and it seems easier for hackers to gain access to accounts than for legitimate users to recover them.

I am a uk legal cannabis patient with a current prescription. I posted about uk legal cannabis and how it helps me, I was then told that my comment was illegal basically and made to felt lol a criminal. My prescription is prescribed by an NHS pain doctor privately he works both for the nhs and privately and it's 100% legal
This is discrimination on grounds of disability

Tip for consumers:
The support system really is a shambles and I’m considering my legal options

If one wants the verified status on one's profile, one has to verify oneself via the identity card... It would be logical if, after verification, there was no talk about a passport, which is seemingly something completely different! But even during the verification process there is still talk of an identity card! The verification process is handled by the third-party service provider "Persona"!

I should probably also mention that the CHEAPEST premium plan costs 29.49! EUR per month! The highest 122,92! EUR if one is a recruiter and wants to find job candidates

All I want is to shut down my LinkedIn account, but they make it too complicated to do so! I contact support, but they want my email address?! How about I call my attorney Frederico Antonucci?! Huh?! I call up the best damn attorneys from Brooklyn!

Tip for consumers:
Stay as far away from LinkedIn as you possible can. Should be called LinkedOut.

Harassment, plain and simple. They will never honor your requests to unsubscribe from their endless spam or even delete your own account. Not worth it, to deal with mostly fake job offerings.

AVOID THESE SPAMMERS! I was looking for info and gave my email. It is NON-STOP SPAM, and they have MILLIONS of check-boxes you need to check to stop ALL THE SPAM. No ONE BOX to stop it all. And you can't even CLOSE the account until you verify it. The WORST SPammers EVER! Your best bet is to add them to a spam filter rather than play their game!

If they need your credit card number then it's not a 1-month free trial. I wanted to view something on the site, but they don't let you view anything unless you're a paying member. You can sign up for a 1-month free trial, but when you click that option, they want your credit card number. Scam.

I've tried to stay clear of LinkedIn until a friend recommended I stay "active" to network and meet new industry leaders.

Sadly, everyone on this site is a leader. The amount of spam and unwanted contact is staggering. I got more active to find better employment opportunities and pay. What a joke! In two years on this site, I've received 2 interviews. I've fallen prey to resume rewrites and interview practice sessions. After 2 weeks on Indeed, I've had 5 application reviews and 2 interviews.

I can't wait to delete my profile.

The services rendered by linkedin are subject to communist propagandists reviews. If they dislike your beliefs they'll ban you indefinitely. Unfortunately it'll take a bit of time for people to figure out this is NOT an open networking tool for everyone but for the socialists and communists.

Tip for consumers:
Their customer service is lazy and careless; they rely on AI to make banning decisions.

I have been trying to get a refund from them for over a week now! I signed up for the "free trial" of premium. They say they will send a reminder email 7 days before charging your card; yet I received no such email. The minute I received an email regarding the charges, I explained the above, requested a refund & cancelled the "free" subscription. Their error has also cost me, a disabled senior, additional costs in the form of an NSF fee from my bank!
Also, the majority of "job listings" turn out to be scammers. I've also noticed that every time I apply for a job that is posted on their site, the amount of spam emails I get are ridiculous!

None of this is acceptable! Do yourself a favour & stay far away from them!

Difficult to edit profile, the profile settings are way too restrictive, and customer support is nonexistent. I maintain a free profile only because it's free and occasionally supplies interesting info about colleagues and friends. Otherwise I have zero use for this overrated app that is only getting worse.

Regardless of the number of job applications an individual submits, they consistently encounter rejection. Despite possessing extensive experience and expertise, it seems that certain companies, albeit unintentionally, exhibit a preference for candidates who are not of Hispanic descent. This observation may raise concerns about discrimination, as it appears that platforms like LinkedIn consider one's name or Hispanic background as decisive factors in being overlooked or denied the opportunity for an interview or employment. This bias persists even when the individual possesses qualifications that surpass the requirements sought by the hiring company.

I accidentally purchased LinkedIn Premium. My mistake. Thirty days later I was charged $69.99 via the Apple ID on my iPhone. Because I did not receive a receipt for 5 days, I called my credit card company to cancel my card. They could have just cancelled my Premium subscription or sent an alert. Instead they back doored this purchase through my iPhone. Lesson learnt. I have removed my credit card from the "purchase and subscriptions" settings in my iPhone and cancelled this subscription ($70 per month are you kidding me?).

Tip for consumers:
No reminders or information sent prior to charging my card.

I subscribed to LinkedIn Recruiter Lite for a full year, and was never able to make sense of it on my own. When I tried to request help, I found there is no way to talk to a person, and all I got for my trouble was a call from some outsourced business development firms from India who started drilling me with questions about how many hires would I be making in the next year. Good riddance!

It's the best chat app I've ever seen, I love it very much. It's so simple, that this app can be used by all generations. It is useful for conversation, messaging and video calling. Sending free texts across channels is an excellent choice, including globally. Eventually, there are several other apps but I would recommend Whatsapp to everyone.

I've been a "passive" member of LinkedIn for years now and only recently started to really use the site. What the heck happened to LinkedIn? It's a twisted, convoluted mess with way too much going on on every page and lots of random errors and issues. I think they lost focus of the whole "business to business" kind of tool that it once was. And another site with constant references to "Upgrade Now" is the last thing any of us need. But, what's the alternative?
