I am a federal firearms license holder, a guy had me transfer a gun he won in auction from Kraftauctions through Liveauctioneers.com. Kraftauctions sent me the wrong gun. I call them and was told to ship it back & they will pay me! I sent them the receipt & they didn't even acknowledge receiving it. No reimbursement, ripped off! Then I informed Liveauctioneers.com & they said they would help but did nothing. Probably great to those who never had a problem but I can't trust them because I can't trust their sellers or their ability to make them come clean
I purchase antique clocks on this site however I wish they would list watches in another's catagory it's very annoying to have to look through 150 pocket watches to be able to see one clock. My second beef is the price as they are charging. The buyer are getting to be astronomical and absolutely not worth going to the site anymore I've seen prices as high as 33% buyer premium plus they charge you an extra 3% if you pay by credit card and when you go to contact their shipper believe me because they know it's an auction site. They charge you double or triple what you could've had it shipped for regularly. Yes I was getting the point. I'm just gonna have to stop using this site. They need to make some serious changes and cost is one of the most important factors great idea, overprice and poorly managed
These fools do not back the us, the client one bit. They never answer the phone. I've been sold a fake Cartier by Morphy Auction house and Liveauctioneers could do nothing for me. A dispute was put on my account because I bid on an 8K rolex and when I found out the item wasn't in the states but China I refused to be bilked out of my money by purchasing another fake watch. Liveauctioneers is useless when it comes to standing by their client or protecting them.
I have participated in many auctions through LiveAuctioneers. Their communication system is great and they do a good job of vetting auctioneers and bidders. I've had nothing but good experiences with all the auctions I've connected with through LiveAuctioneers.

The items I received were as described. It was perfect except for the shipping. You feel like you won the item for a low price and then realize you have to pay 20% premium and high shipping prices. Overall I am really happy with the items I purchased it's just the shipping that was crazy for me.

Do not make the mistake of buying anything from this company. They send garbage with fake paperwork. I bought a ring that was apparently appraised at 1400 USD and its not worth even 200 CAN. Absolute trash company. Ignored my emails and attempts to contact them. Got BBB involved and they played the back-and-forth game saying they weren't getting my emails even though I attached copies of the email and BBB had emailed me saying the company has confirmed they see my messages. Nothing was done and I'm out a lot of money. Whoever owns this company deserves whatever karma comes to them. How they are allowed to still run a company shows me how broken our system is.

They force you to use an account to pay and don't hold auctioneers responsible for anything. You basically cant dispute anything even if it takes months to get your order, or it comes damaged, or you dont even get it at all. Will never use again, because they offer no kind of guarantee.

I left 2 bids on artwork at auction site, one was low the other was way high compared to starting price. Both were executed correctly and the winning bid on the high bid lot was very low, so I feel they did a good job for me and it was a fair auction.

I just watched every single item sell for just under 50% of their low estimated value. Not on any planet at any auction could this happen naturally. They are artificially bidding the price up to 50% of the low estimate. So really it's a sale not an auction. So if you want to pay 50% of the low estimate go ahead otherwise move on. It's a scam.
I have used live auctioneers 30 or more times for all sorts of purchases. But let's face it; if there is ever an issue with an Auction House, their customer support is non existent. Also unlike other places (Like Ebay or Amazon) you get zero consumer protection when you purchase with Live Auctioneers. As I found out, you are not really their customer - its the Auction House that is their customers and you will realize that whenever you have an issue about misrepresentations or material omissions by Auction Houses which use Live Auctioneers as their sales portal. To be fair, Live Auctioneers is great if you are a collector, but not so great when issues arise.

Some auctions say shipping, then you buy and they say, oh, not international shipping. Some stuff is listed as sealed in pack and once shipped, you find half the parts missing. Once had the wrong item shipped and no way to get the right one back.
I bought an item and the pictures were of a different item. They charged me 50 dollars for shipping and 40 dollars to put in a box. Then when I told them I wanted to return it because it was not the item in the pictures they wanted me to still pay the auction fees and shipping fees to the Netherlands. Customer service took forever to responded and said he offered to take it back, yes at my cost for his mistake.

Sent email for clarification and never got a response as I had bid on a single rather inexpensive item so it wasn't worth their bother to help me out. I mailed in a USPS money order and never received the item I purchased. Unless you are spending thousands of dollars don't expect a lot of help so I will no longer be bidding on any of their stuff.

This is a total rip off. 350.00 item cost an extra 200 dollars with fees. The auction house, KeystoneAuctions, doesn't even ship it out. They send it to some 3rd party that the customer has to arrange shipping with...for MORE MONEY! Live auctioneers only responds to contact the auction house with issues.

I won a lamp for 10.00 and after having to chase them down to find out what was going on after I paid teh 10.00 lamp became a 100.00 lamp with extra fees, taxes, shipping etc. I sell on Ebay all the time and if I sold someone something for 10.00 then charged them 100.00 Id be kicked off. Its all BS. Dont waste your time. Also, I won only 2 auctions after placing like 70 bids. I think if the amount is too low they bid themselves last minute so they dont have to sell the item at such a low price. Also I won one other auction and they said I didnt pay within thier time limit (a few days) so they cancelled the order and Im still trying to get my money back. The auction house blames the seller the seller blames the auction house and you get screwed.
Attention to the client varies from place to place. A good percentage of places are very obliging, very professional, very easy to deal with. Others somewhat less. Some have more restrictive ways of paying for acquisitions. Some have shipping capabilities which helps immensely. Some do not and some of the recommended third party shippers live a bit to be desired. Claims to shippers for damaged goods are very trying. For a Canadian it is rather expensive to acquire items from Live Auctioneers, because price, plus auctioneer's take, plus transportation, not very good currency exchange, very expensive shipping fees, import duties, brokerage fees, etc, make it almost prohibitively expensive. Additionally one has to be very familiar with the item because the description and pictures may exceed the actual quality of the item, if one wasn't familiar with it.

I bid on a beautiful clear Star ruby and paid for it. They sent a milky, piece of cheap stone, like what you can find for a penny. I sent pictures of the item I received. The company refused to return the money back. On BBB they have a rating of 1.7 with tons of complaints from customers who have been scammed like this. This company it's dishonest and a rip off.
