There is seemingly no point in looking at, posting, or responding to ads on Locanto as the site is filled with fake ads and scammers (like so many others have said). The whole thing just feels hollow and lifeless as if it were some abandoned early 2000s site lost to time.
To anyone that uses this site Please be aware that this site is used for the purpose of hookers and scams one of the biggest scams I got was 2 days ago someone claiming to be a police officer and he sent me over to his police chief. Long story short they wanted me to pay $2,000 for a legal case against me to go away and this was about a missing girl. Guys don't fall for this because the police are not going to demand you to pay money about a missing girl they will just come to your door knock it down and arrest you straight up. Anyways I hope this is helpful for people looking for information on this site why this site has not been shut down yet is beyond me say away
Half the people on there are scammers. You report them and nothing happens. Same ad posted in 21 different towns 1000's km apart. Then you post one legit ad and it gets reported and they delete you.but the scammers ads all still there.
Locanto blocked my ads in there respective pages, despite my writing locanto twice i got no response. They are just bad i suggest going with another site for w/e your needs are thats what i did and it worked out... Despite my efforts trying to fix my problem with them. They are very unresponsive to anyone.
This is probably the WORST FREE SITE on the Internet for attempting to meet a person, or find a good/service. I am not sure who runs it, or from where, but after seeing what they offer for free, I sure as hell would NOT "subscribe" to ANY of its features. Even the "people-free" version of Craigslist is a "Step up" to this pathetic site!
Like all dating apps, even this app is completely hijacked by $#*!ty service providers and brokers and I have never met an individual looking for another individual in here. I guess I will never find anyone here. Super frustrating

BEWARE! Donot go near the PERSONALS SECTION!
It is full of re-typed adverts from America, but with your location on them.
Most of them are from Asia as the text is written in poor english.
In a nut shell the adverts are all scams. Fake pics, wrong ph numbers, fake women replying wanting u to join their web site or get a security ID check! Lol
Making it hard for any decent person searching to find someone to be with.

Stay far away from this site. It is created by scammers for scammers. The Locanto "terms of use" are all written as CYA for locanto only. They do not even require their advertisers to be honest or even that they be located in the country that they are claiming to be advertising from. If you get ripped off, Locanto has all of their bases covered. Zero liability for them, 100% for you. They won't even report fraudulent activities. They make you do that too. Someone needs to shut this company down.
It's up to us to be smart and stay away!
I have been trying locanto in the UK for a couple of months but the adverts just don't get seen. They might get seen if they were published but my ads never get published or say pending. It is a waste of time. I have no idea why they bothered to put up a site that offers free adverts when they clearly don't. - Waste of time.
I posted an ad and got responses, but when I give my email it doesn't show it. So I tried writing it without symbols: nothing! Some people don't even get my messages and they answer me angrily for not receiving an answer I did give. It's just $#*!!
