“Worked for me.”

townsend s.
3/12/24

I have been on Heal and Soothe for about 14 yrs. It took some loading to start feeling a difference. My knees haven't hurt in a long time. Had not taken it for a long time and had a few bottles still. My shoulder has been hurting for over a yr now. Got back on H&S yesterday. Loaded up and today my shoulder feels a lot better already. I will probably start reordering soon. I didn't have billing issues and they have reached out over the yrs and sent me extra bottles. I have no complaints.

Not only no difference or progress whatsoever; I was charged for additional shipments without authorization. Do not submit banking information. The product and company are a scam. The CSR answered my telephone call with a child screaming in the background? Exceptionally unprofessional; saying it will take up to 12 weeks to refund the unauthorized transaction.

My name is Steve, Director of Client Services, for the Healthy Back Institute (HBI), I have reviewed your account, this is what I found.

Recap:
1. We informed you of the rebill date 7-27-2020, so you knew about it,
2. The call was NOT answered by our agent with screaming child in the background
3. I don't see a request via email to cancel and you did NOT cancel via her MyAccount.
4. I have refunded the charge in question

The order and authorization is all done on this page, please read it again, it is very professional and is simple to understand, you just have to remember that you signed up for it.

I have osteoarthritis and bought the "come on" bottle with 90 capsules for $6.95. Then you learn that you need to build up the capsules to a maximum number which does not equal even one month. I took a chance because I really hoped for pain relief and ordered 6 bottles. The representative on the phone did not say that refunds are issued only for unopened bottles less shipping. Today I tried to get my refund and learned the truth. I am out over $250.00. Yes, if you read the product catalogue that disclaimer is present. The representative I dealt with today said some people take these capsules for a year or more before they see results. However, you are refunded only for the first 90 days. That's a big gamble to make. Unfortunately for me, I only found this site today. Better luck for the next consumer.

I've had no problems with the site. My husband tried the Heal n Soothe free trial and now he can't live without it to relieve his back pain. I opted for the discounted rate for auto-reorder, and I've adjusted the delivery schedule three times - no problems, they answered calls and emails pretty quickly.
I gave it 4 stars so you'd possibly believe this is a legitimate review; plus I rarely give out 5 stars - that comes with freebies and special discount deals for repeat customers.

Like another reviewer I ordered one promotional bottle. Next I was offered a free trial - which i did not want, it ws sent anyway, I could not collect it as UK duty was due - then they signed me up to $49.95 a month and auto billed my card. And found myself signed up to a monthly program for $49.95 per month.

I did not receive the second bottle of tablets either due to a customs charge needing to be paid so I was unable to send it back.

Customer service email wont acknowledge receipt of any complaints or cancellations. Help does not reply and telephone numbers ring out.
These guys are just thieves - and PS it doesn't work!

My name is Steve, Director of Client Services, for the Healthy Back Institute (HBI), after reviewing your account I see you signed up for our free trial offer, let me explain.

In the United States, when free trial offers are presented to customers there are very specific (rules) we must follow in order to process any free trial offers.

First, the terms of the promotional offer must be presented at the point of sale in a clear and conspicuous way that we do!

Second, the Customer MUST click on a box, (next to the terms) and once they click (the box) that presents a visible check mark next to the terms, indicating that you have read and agreed to the terms of the offer. The order can not be completed OR move forward without you checking that box giving us permission to charge your card, and that you did as your was completed.

Please note:
You stopped your, own subscription on 5-19-2020 and no further bill will occur.

Never, (for any product from any company) refuse a product or state return to sender, that disrupts the entire return and refund process, which is why this ended up like it did.

Everyone in the UK knows they have to pay (UK duty) on imported products.

The HBI did not sign you up for anything, you signed yourself up for the free trial. (See above)

The HBI did refund you for two months on 5-28-2020

Thank you for being a valued customer, if you have any customer service needs with us please use this link https://losethebackpain.com/contact-us/!

I tried this product with substantial skepticism, but the first bottle was free so gave it a shot. In one week after starting "six at night and three in the morning" recommended dosage, I was able to quit using 1200 mg of ibuprofen daily for arthritis pain. Three weeks into the program I am more pain free than under the ibuprofen regime. So far no observable side effects. I will continue the program on the recommended dosage for another month or two, and then try reducing the intake from nine pills daily to something less. I will review again in a couple months.

Beware of their subscription tick box, the glowing reviews are not the truth. I checked my bank statements and just found out they have been taking regular monthly payments from my account over 6 months and I have received nothing. Be careful not to give your details because take are taking monthly amounts from your bank account with a subscription trick. Since finding out the scam they have not answered my request for a refund after promising a 48 hour response to my complaint at their call centre, they said they would not give a number to their head office i have not heard from them 10 days later. Sadly I found this company on a well known Christian website and so thought I could trust their approach but their business conduct lacks any integrity rather they have stolen monies with a twisted scam. Shame on you.

When ordering I paid extra for delivery to the UK only to find I've had to pay a further £14.42 in Customs charges + Royal Mail admin fees at my local post office to get my parcel. When I looked on their website the company absolves itself from ANY Customs or international duties! Furthermore, their own website page for delivery reviews is "closed to comments". Beware of the extra costs.
Won't be buying again, and I dare them to charge my credit card for any further purchases like people are saying in these reviews.

Been a gout sufferer since 1993. Tried almost all possible remedies. After visiting their website and reading all those "promises", ordered the 6-bottle value pack. Followed the recommended dosage and storage however while on vacation, had a gout attack, still continue taking the recommended dosage (and even increased it to 4 capsules (twice a day, in the morning 1 hr before breakfast and another 1 hour before dinner time). Swelling and pain on my left ankle and right knee persisted. Had no other recourse but to take Indomethacin 50 mg. After two weeks, and while on my project and with no pain/swelling, take again the twice a day maintenance dosage of 3 capsules. Next day, another gout attack this time pain on both knees. They should put a disclaimer on their website that Heal-N-Soothe is not recommended for gout sufferers.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. And two weeks of Heal-N-Soothe is not going to cure 23 years of gout. But more importantly, have you ever wondered why you’ve had to put up with gout for the last two decades?

Could it be the solution you are turning to (the NSAID indomethacin) could be part of the problem? Could it be causing your gout to linger?

There’s something you should know about Indomethacin (and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). They STOP the healing process.

You see, Nsaids works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

But inflammation is actually the first step in healing. When you are injured, inflammation rushes in to fight whatever caused the injury (infection, foreign bodies, whatever). When this situation is stabilized, then your body flushes out the inflammation and other waste and starts to rebuild.

It’s like a burning building. The firemen are called in to stop the blaze. When the fire is quenched, somebody has to clean everything up. Only then, can another building rise up.

Taking NSAID’s is like stopping the firemen from doing their job. Sure, it may temporarily stop your pain. But it stops healing too. The blaze keeps burning and you NEVER fully heal.

Maybe this is why, for over 20 years you haven’t been able to get rid of gout for good?

I apologize Heal-N-Soothe didn’t work for you right away. But, in all honesty, for your particular situation, I don’t think you took enough, for long enough, for it to work.

Heal-N-Soothe is NOT designed to stop inflammation. It is designed to help regulate the inflammatory process and aid your body in flushing it out AFTER it has done it’s job. It is a support for your body’s natural healing process.

If all you want a “quick fix” band-aid for a flare-up it looks like the drug you are taking works temporarily.

And obviously stay away from the foods you know cause a gout flare-up too (FYI, those could be triggering inflammation that is making your pain worse.)

If you want something that will clear out the inflammation and solve the underlying problem, so - eventually - you don’t have to rely on dangerous drugs (and there are plenty of dangers) you’re going to have to try something different. And you’re going to have to give it enough time to work.

Ordered product 3 weeks ago. The charge immediately hit my credit card. However, they still haven't even shipped the product. I've talked to 3 different customer service agents and none of them have been able to determine why the product hasn't shipped. They have it available but can't seem to get it done. Terrible company. After dealing with them, you will need a supplement of common sense and sanity to offset the pain of their company. I want my money back. Stay away.

I've purchased from this company for 15 years now. I bought their program for back pain and i don't regret it at all. I continue to buy the Heal n Soothe product because it is the only long lasting natural product that has worked for my back pain. I'm not killing my liver with ibuprofen, etc, and I never want to have to have surgery. I haven't tried their other products, but their back pain products definitely work. After all it is called Lose the Back Pain.

Tip for consumers:
Be patient. If you never want to end up getting back surgery and truly know the harmful effects of pharmaceuticals such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and worse; then give it an honest attempt. Be patient and smile at the results.

Estebane, Jesse and I created and launched the first version of the Lose the Back Pain (LTBP) system in Dec 2003 or Jan 2004 depending on who you ask and because of its success we were able to have the LTBP system professionally produced.

That said, you are without a doubt one of our first customers… Hats off to you for taking on the responsibility to use the Internet to educate yourself about the root causes of back pain and then take corrective action.

I have to say, there is a unique correlation between, having an idea in your head and following through with it. Jesse and I educated ourselves about how imbalances in our body caused pain and then went to work formulating a plan to help others. Much the same way someone thinks about a health crisis, they know they need to do something about it but often times they just take a drug and hope the problem goes away, unfortunately that is not how our bodies were ever designed to work.

If you are reading this, please understand that we are not perfect and we are not immune from fault but believe me when I say, we have “one big audacious goal” that is to help as many people in pain, live a more happy and fulfilling life “Pain-Free”. So regardless if you are working on your physical imbalances or taking a supplement and working on your nutritional imbalances, we can and will support you along the way!

As always and as it has been since 2003, If you need to contact us in the future for any reason please note there are many ways to do so, all options can be found on this page:

Thank you for being a valued and loyal customer as your satisfaction is important to us!

I ordered Heal n Soothe but didn't help me anyway. How many months had passed and noticed that they have been taking USD 39.00 from my credit card even I haven't subscribed. I had to close my credit card to stop them. Be careful if you order their product online as they keep on getting money from you.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about your recent experience with our company. We’re disappointed we failed to meet your expectations as our goal is to provide only the highest quality products, services and information with every interaction you have with us.

It appears you agreed to our monthly autoship service when you accepted your free trial. I’ll explain how to easily and immediately cancel this service below. But first, I wanted to address for your sake and those who will read your review and our response, how our autoship program works.

** How Our Autoship Program Works **

When we offer a free trial, it’s with the expectation that you’ll love the product. Most do. The purpose of a free trial is to give you the opportunity to experience it for yourself and decide before ever paying full price whether you’d like to continue using it.

For that reason, we make it easy to continue receiving the product you received a trial of by enrolling you – with your express permission – in our autoship program.

We always clearly and concisely provide full details of the autoship program in plain, regular size print front and center on the order page. Not buried in fine print. And, because we know some may still only skim the details before placing their order, we require all customers to manually select a checkbox indicating they’ve read those Terms & Conditions before ordering by disabling the Order button until they select that box.

For the benefit of all reading this review, here is the actual text we provide on the Order Form that must be agreed to before accepting the trial offer with autoship service:

Terms & Conditions:

If you're 100% FULLY SATISFIED with Heal-n-Soothe® then do nothing, and in 30 days from your order date automatically receive a Full 30 Day Supply Bottle, each and every month with SmartShip. For the low Trial-Members Only price of Just $49.95 - That's a savings of $9 OFF the regular price of $59.00.

You are under NO obligation to continue beyond your FREE Trial bottle.

If the Heal-n-Soothe® trial doesn't work for you, just cancel AutoShip within 30 days of this order, no questions asked, by simply calling toll-free

1-800-216-4908.

As you see, anyone can cancel their autoship order long before we ever ship and bill for it with a quick toll-free phone call. However, you can still easily cancel your order at any time. Here’s how...

** How to Easily Cancel Any Autoship Order **

Our goal is to send you only what you want, only when you want it. That’s why we give you multiple ways to contact our Customer Service team to modify or cancel any order you place.

Our preferred way for you to contact us is through the “Submit a request” form in our online helpdesk system found here:

https://thehealthybackinstitute.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

This link takes you directly to the form. The reason that’s our favored method of communication is because your request gets entered directly into our system exactly how you want to communicate your need to us. It also notifies our customer support team by email that you have submitted a request.

However, we also provide our full contact information, whether you wish to reach us by phone, fax or regular mail, along with our customer service hours of operation on our Contact Us page found here:

http://www.losethebackpain.com/contact-us/

You are welcome to reach us using any of these methods to cancel, suspend or modify your autoship order or with any other questions you may have.

Thank you again for providing your feedback on your experience. I hope with our reply you’ll consider amending your review.

Agree with other reviews stating this is a total scam. Once this company has your credit card number you will be charged for a product only viewed on their website, not even ordered. BUYER BEWARE... don't get sucked in by these cheats!

I used the product during the free trial and did not find it helped at all. November 1,2022, I cancelled and was assured that my credit card would not be charged any more. Looking through my (almost) yearend credit card statement, I discovered I had been charged ongoing $16.03/month. I called them and they told me that I had omitted specifying that I wanted the 'newsletter' cancelled, not just the supplement. I said that is so sneaky, who would want a newsletter for a product that didn't work for them? It shows right on my online account that I cancelled Nov 2022 and now had now active subscriptions. Why am I being charged? I had been told I would NOT be charged any further. The woman said again I must have misunderstood. I got sucked in big time. I hope no one else does. This was a huge waste of time and money.

These people are cheats... I ordered one of their free Pilate DVD and a book on joint pain and arthritis; but I did not know it was their trick to get the credit card details. Today I am horrified to see my credit bill. These scams are stealing money from my account for the products which I have not even ordered. They are taking out particular amount of money every month. Is there any means to punish these cheats?

My elderly mother was targeted by these people. Despite instructing them to send no more information, and conduct no further deductions from her credit card, they continued to take a monthly amount. The only way we were able to stop this was to have her bank completely block her card, and reissue a new one.
Shame on them! But thanks to her bank for being so helpful in this matter.

I am with a few other people. I never authorized a shipment. I tried it and ordered one along with it. They never say in large writing that they will continue to charge you $49. It is tucked away in mini print that if you don't call, you will get an order charged to your account. This is abusive and a waste of time. By the way the product had no visible results for me.

Verified purchase

I ordered a trial bottle, the pills did not make any difference for me (although I appreciate they may work for others). I did not sign up for a prescription and when emailed to ask if I did want to sign up, I did not.
It turns out a subscription was created on my account and 3 monthly charges have been taken, totalling more than £150 which have made my bank account go overdrawn and which I cannot afford. The charges were basing an account I do not use so I did not spot it. How can that be allowed to happen? It is a disgrace and I am now in difficulty with my bank and this has caused me significant stress.

I signed up for the trial offer, and 10 days later when the bottle arrived we read the information that comes with the order and determined that this product would interfere with my wife's medications. We immediately called to cancel future orders and were sent to a dead phone line. This was a red flag that this might be a scam. We immediately changed our credit card number, but two weeks later we received another bottle, and found out that this company charged me for the second bottle on the same day that I purchased the first---thus I was charged for the second bottle. After several e-mails and no results, I called the customer service line and the lady said all I have to do is write "return to sender" on he package, and the subscription money would be credited to my account upon receipt. This was weeks ago and still no money has been returned.

I gave my credit card number for a free trial. One month later I have still received nothing, but have been enrolled in a monthly (delivery service) and they have just booked 50 bucks from my account. It seems to be their tactic. I can only say, if their products were good, they would not use these methods to rob people. Truly disgusting. They were also recommended by Paleo Hacks website... be careful!

This product has not made any difference for the first month talking it. I can't afford to throw my hard earned money away with no results to back up the product. If anything, my appetite increased. Not what I was hoping for. May work for others.

Hello Linda,

There are a few things that you can do to increase Heal-n-Soothe's effectiveness:
1. Try doing the loading dose - 3 capsules 3 times a day with a glass of water at least 30 minutes before or at least an hour after a meal for 2 weeks.
2. Avoid or eliminate inflammatory foods from your diet.
3. Doing some amount of physical exercise to boost blood flow.
4. Make sure that you're taking the Heal-n-Soothe on an empty stomach with a glass of water. If not, it will not work correctly.

If you have any other questions about how to boost Heal-n-Soothe's effectiveness please call customer service at (800)-216-4908.

Thank You,

I ordered from lose the back pain 3 times, we live in the U. K. & the shipping was about £16 the first 2 times & was delivered direct to our door. The 3rd time I ordered I called the company and their representative told me if I order in bulk it would work out cheaper. Not so, they sent my shipment to Germany & customs charged me over £200. I have complained to Lose the Back Pain (Heal & Soothe) and tried to get some compensation for giving me the wrong advice and they deny the shipment was sent to Germany even with photographic proof. Customer service are robots they don't care about customers that's for sure. You can buy all the ingredients separate and put together yourself! A lot less expensive. Worse company I have Ever Bought From! No Customer Service, send out robot messages after they get your credit card details, Beware, so sad

Tip for consumers:
Use something else

Products used:
Heal & Soothe

Lisa D. I ordered and received a copy of The End of all Disease by Jesse Cannone. After reading much of the book and finding strange sounding claims about all cancers being caused by intestinal parasites, I researched on the internet. He heavily quotes and relies on the work of a Dr. Hula Clark. He does not tell you that she was sued for fraud many times or that she had legal troubles in Indiana for practicing medicine without a license. Furthermore, he does not tell you that Ms. Clark died on September 3,2009 of complications of multiple myeloma. Please go to quackwatch.com to read Stephen Barrett M. D. on The Bizarre Claims of Hula Clark. It is quite eye opening. Don't waste your $5.95 on this book like I did. There is some useful information in it on other topics. However I will not be ordering any other products from this company. Scam alert.

You have valid concerns, and let me reply with what our stance is.

Alternative medicine is largely "experience medicine". While orthodox
Medicine starts wit a hypothesis, tests that first in the lab, then maybe
In animals, then in humans, and finally ends up with a product to market
That has been "scientifically" tested and proven, this process in holistic
Medicine is usually reversed.

The scientific method of orthodox medicine has its own problems, for
Example that it is generally found that drugs do not work as well when they
Are used on the general public as the studies suggested. Also, many
Hypotheses are found wrong and never become a product, and finally, while
The use of many of these products has been proven, their side effects are
Often also severe but often not weighed sufficiently against the benefits.
It has been found, for example, that statins will lower the chance of heart
Attacks, but that overall survival is about the same for patients taking
Statins or not. This means that the side effects wipe out the apparent
Benefit.

The procedure in holistic medicine is generally this one: a practitioner
Such as Dr. Clark, Dr. Gerson, Dr. Rau, Dr. Weill, Dr. Whoever, will try
And find some workable approaches while working with the patients. This is
To a large degree trial and error, yet it can be ventured upon because most
Of the remedies used have little or no side effects. After many years of
Practice such a therapist will reach some conclusions as to what is
Actually working in practice, and will then maybe formulate some hypotheses
As to why this is working. Those are then maybe tested in a lab or in
Animals or in actualy clinical trials at the end of the process. Once they
Have, this knowledge should then really not be "alternative" any more. It
Should be absorbed into orthodox medicine because it now has undergone the
Same kind of testing. It usually still isn't accepted then, though.

How ever that may be, with most of these approaches there is some
Uncertainty as to the effect. Someone will assert that it works from years
Or usually decades of experience. Many patients prefer to work with less
Harmful remedies that are proven in practice than more harmful remedies
Proven in a lab. I summarize this as "while in alternative medicine we know
The remedies work but no one knows why, in orthodox medicine everyone knows
Exactly why they don't work". That is a bit sarcastic of course and it is
Not really true, as obviously there are plenty of useful and workable
Therapies in orthodox medicine. However, not usually for chronic
Conditions, and we believe that due to the fact that orthodox medicine
Tries to cure the patient while alternative medicine tries to get the body
To a point where it cures itself. Also orthodox medicine focuses on cure
While holistic medicine focuses on prevention; finally, orthodox medicine
Looks at a problem that it tries to cure while holistic medicine looks at
The underlying causes which it tries to remove. In a simple situation, for
Example where a specific bacterium causes a specific condition, the
Approach of orthodox medicine is usually very effective. In complex
Situations, where many causes add up over a long time to a systemic
Condition, orthodox medicine usually has little to offer, or only some
Band-aids which don't really cure and may even do more harm in the long
Run.

You ask if this isn't quackery, I woud ask what the definition of quackery
Is. If you define quackery is "scientifically" unproven medicine, then all
Of alternative medicine would be quackery. But the defintion of it that I
Find is this: Random House Dictionary describes a "quack" as a "fraudulent
Or ignorant pretender to medical skill" or "a person who pretends,
Professionally or publicly, to have skill, knowledge, or qualifications he
Or she does not possess; a charlatan".

Dr. Clark has never sold any products besides her services and her books,
And she was mostly poor and died poor and left nothing behind. So there
Isn't any fraud in this. She may have been wrong, but she certainly stood
For what she said. Whether she is an ignorant pretender would be a matter
Of viewpoint, but she was practicing from 1963 until 2008, I value that
Experience high. She had a doctorate in biology and I think one can't claim
That she did not know her facts. Furthermore, she disclosed in her books
Very openly what her research consisted of and how she came about her
Conclusions, therefore I don't think one could say she pretended anything
Or was a charlatan. The many people she treated and who are alive today who
Were supposed to die would testify for her. Of course, she had her failures
Too and probably only time will tell how much of what she said will stand
Up against the test of time.

But if I may recall one thing here: When Dr. Clark suggested the use of the
Zapper for cancer in 1995, there were no scientific papers on the subject
At all. Meanwhile, low intensity DC current has been tested in several
Places and there are a dozen or more publications about it. I think one
Must bear in mind that coming up with something entirely novel is a feat
That should not be underestimated.

Kind Regards

Yes, these products helped me, but the problem is that they turn out to be too expensive, in addition to the fact that the shipment takes a little longer than expected. And I can't afford to spend a lot of money all the time, despite the help.
