DO NOT BUY CARPET TO BE INSTALLED AT LOWES, they are horrible.
Bought carpet December 2, by April 2 still not finish install, kept telling me new carpet was defective, ordered 3 times, 3 times defective. Meanwhile my house is a wreck. Home office will do NOTHING TO HELP. AND after making a claim with American Express dispute was settled in my favor. LOWES want to come on SUNDAY to pick up the part which was installed. And arrived later than quoted.
I have never delt with such horrible installer's office help, Kellers (their subcontrators) are the pits. I learned one thing from this fiasco. Always look for feedback before buying. And I will never shop at Lowes again.
I purchased a refrigerator at Lowe's that was supposed to be delivered through a third party on 3/01/2020. I received a call the next day about 20 minutes before the 4 hour range they gave me to say that they couldn't deliver because the truck was too full. I told them that I rearranged my schedule and they needed to honor what they said. Then, I received another call saying that it would be delivered today and that they would notify me of the ETA. After the conversation, I received a text confirming when it would arrive. Well, after the scheduled time passed still no delivery. I called the delivery people to see what was going on and they said my order was never put on the truck. So, I called Lowe's back and they said the driver refused to deliver the product. I cancelled the order because at this point trust is broken. The delivery company they use is DSI. Either way it is a bad reflection on both companies especially Lowe's. This shows just how little they value your business. Very disappointed. It doesn't matter if you complain, trust me they don't care.
Ordered new washer/dryer. Suppose to come in several days later. Received a phone call saying we needed to postpone delivery date by a day or more. Changed date for a few days after original one that was told wouldn't work. They showed up anyways, I was at work not expecting them to show up on the account they said it wasn't an option and had already rescheduled for the next week. Got a call from the store a few days later confirming the pick up day and an estimated time. I was delivery #3 out of 9 on the daily schedule. Took work off, they never showed. Called CS around 11am to confirm I was still on schedule. They confirmed I was. Called again at 4:30. Apparently the delivery guy had gone home and never picked up his phone. Not knowing when they'll call me back they promised they would. Delivery coordinator who called me originally would be off until Wednesday(currently await order for Monday). Will never do business with Lowes again. This feels personal although it was 100% lack of communication on behalf of Lowes and their employees. Do not bother ordering from this major corporation!
I was shopping for an impact wrench, and up popped one of those foldable ladders. Something we were considering buying for my pa-n-law. I clicked on it, and it fit the bill, plus it was discounted from $149 to $89 - even better.
I added it to my cart, and proceeded to check out. Road block - I couldn't pick it up, it had to be delivered. I thought that was odd - I didn't even know they delivered, but OK.
In checking out, the request your phone number so they can nag you with offers, I gave 'em my landline (which I never use), and checked out.
I was delivered the next day - Great!
A week later, I checked my phone messages. Crap - Lowes had left a message verifying that I knew the delivery fee would be $59 bucks, for an $89 dollar item and to return their call if I didn't want it.
Then I thought I better check my bank account - they charged me a $94 dollar delivery fee!
Are you kidding me?!
Keep in mind the store it came from is 5.2 miles away, or 12 minutes. That 12 minute delivery equates to an hourly rate of $470 bucks!
For any of the big-box stores who can't figure out why consumers are flocking to Amazon it's because of bullsh** like this. I will never, ever buy anything from Lowes again - never!
I bought a washing machine that I really liked after using it for four months. The washing machine is called Hotpoint. I had several washing machines that were expensive and hotspoint was the first I bought that was cheap at Lumber lane, Winston salem branch. I felt like it was the best washing machine I had compared to the expensive ones. So after four months, water began to leak from the washing machine. I purchased a distribution and lowes warranty which would last for three years. I called them and they told me once working on my washing machine that I needed a new water pump. I told them that the washing machine was brand new. The contractor said that he will order the replacement pump to come to my address. I called the warranty number to have the replacement pump cancelled and see if I could get another hotspoint washing machine instead of a replacement water pump. They said that my warranty only covers parts and not a complete replacement plan. I know that my warranty cost me more than 100 dollars. They did say that the only way under my warranty plan that I could get another washing machine is that if I had the same issue four times in a 12 month calendar. But each time, the problem needs to be 30 days apart. Does this makes sense?

Attached is proof of what I experienced the week of September 4-11 2022 when trying to purchase online September 6,2022. While looking to order Vinyl Flooring that had a sale that read ENDS SEPTEMBER 12. Right in front of me the page changed, the Sale price was gone.
Keep in mind this was September 6 and the advertised sale was until September 12 So I called Lowe's.com and they said "We have the right to change the price at any time."
And they could do nothing for me, So I asked my local Lowe's store manager in person. "I have heard of this but I can not do anything to help. It is a Lowe's.com issue. Besides the days I spent stressing over this thinking I had lost my mind with the disappearing Sale price.
This is fraud, sleazy business practice that should never be tolerated. It is a clear to me, modern web practice of Switch And Bate.
One would hope after spending our hard earned money this company would be rich enough to have fair policy's, But no they do not. So help me and yourself to not allow Lowes to continue these horrible policies. We will never spend another dime at Lowes, hope you do the same. Thanks
This is my 2nd worst experience with Lowe's, i ordered Electric Dryer from Lowes.com site and selected Apex, NC area store to deliver the product. I place an order on 4/18/2018 and site stated the delivery date 4/22/2018 between 8 am to 8 pm window ( you kidding right 12 hours?) waited on 22nd till 5 pm and call Lowe's Customer service, they told that the item i order is out of stock at local store and they are sourcing from other location so it will be deliver on 4/29/2018, i ask them that why i was not inform nor send email regarding this as i have to ensure someone is there to receive delivery. Customer rep told me that Store manager will reach out as they should contact, next day i got call from local store manager and he told me that item was not in stock, i ask them that shouldn't you store inform me so my family member have to wait 10+ hours as courtesy, he convey me that he will deliver by 4/29/2018 and will ensure that someone will call day before, again no call no information on delivery. I called today ( 5/2/2018) again and was told that they haven't received item yet and they will deliver by Friday 5/4. I do not have good faith. Not sure what era Lowe's live in, at least i live in internet/email era and should at least expect email about status on my order. This is why Lowe's Amazon and Costco are winning pls learn from them how Customer service called else face wipeout in near future.
My husband and I bought a high end Samsung French-door refrigerator. We also bought a 5 year extended warranty. In 4 years weve had 4 repair trips for the ice maker, 1 for the doors that wont shut. Then the bottom ice maker, top ice maker, and entire Freon system gives out. Weve been told it will take up to 5 days to order parts and then more time to schedule another repair appointment. Of course its a holiday weekend which means longer! I call the warranty people, of course I get nowhere talking to the first representative, so I ask for Plan Administrator. I read to her FROM the warranty manual! No Lemon guarantee it says! If you have 3 covered service repairs completed on 3 separate occasions and your product requires a 4th repair, we will issue you a payment. She tells me that it only applies if it is the SAME ISSUE ALL 3 TIMES! I tell her that I have read the manual and NOWHERE does it say any such thing! I tell her I am reading it straight from the booklet, how much clearer can that be? To make a long story short, it was a waste of time! Not only am I never buying a Samsung appliance again, but I will never buy another appliance at Lowes! Their word means absolutely NOTHING!
Lowe's called 5pm Thursday informing me the delivery scheduled between 11am to 3pm next day (Friday). But the delivery guys knocked the door at 7:30am at my beach front vacation condo, the renters were all in the bed. The renters told them that they could not come in, they forced in anyway even they told my renters that they were not supposed to be there that time. They damaged my brand-new $5k cabinets when they installed the stacked washer/dryer. They never provided the delivery documents supposed to be signed off by the buyer. So upset!
I recently drove to the Lowe's in Destin, Fl to purchase some Miracle Grow in-ground soil in 2 cu ft bags. I checked the computer before leaving and verified the price was $5.00 ea. Normally $8.28 but on sale until Oct 14. When I got there the price on the shelf was $8.28. I asked the garden center associate and he told me it was not on sale. When I questioned him about the online ad, he called his manager. She came and also told me it was not on sale and that I was mistaken. When I got home I checked again and the price was $5.00 just as I had told them. I called the Destin store customer service and told them of the error and she checked the computer and agreed with me and said she would inform the garden center of the error and asked if I wanted to return to buy the items (I wanted 10 bags). I let her know that I was not going to drive the twenty-five mile round trip and pay the $10.00 bridge tolls, but I did not appreciate being told that I was mistaken and did not know what I was talking about by their employees because they were too lazy to check the computer themselves after I had informed them of the mistake. I also am not happy that there is no way to send this review (complaint) directly to Lowe's. They provide no option on their website to send a complaint, only option is to call customer service at that store and I don't believe that will go anywhere and be corrected.
I honestly don't know how Lowes stays in business. Staff is unreliable and there are no clear procedures apparently so there is a problem EVERY time I order an appliance.
Buyers BEWARE! LOWES LEOMINSTER MA Don't Order anything from this store. We went in the store over a month ago, in Leominster Massachussets and purchased a fence a whole fence to be more precise from the show pieces outside the store, well not only they have different pricing outside and inside which we found out later from one of their own employees which)( i must say they did give me a refund.) finally two weeks later we got the call that the order was in, so we rented a large truck to pickup the fence got to the store and waited 2 hours and they couldnt find it. So rental truck money spent. And gone for nothing. So then we were left in limbo for another week despite the numerous calls about the fence. Finally i wrote an email to lowes and got the store manager who promised to check on it and nope no call back. Two more weeks passed by and we find out that allegedly the posts were missing. Once again waited and we were supposed to get delivery now for our troubles. So now wer are over 21 days and we get a call last night that the fence would be delivered between 9 and 1 pm today. We take the day off from work and no fence got delivered. SO BUYERS BEWARE.

Don't shop Lowes on-line. This company took so long to deliver my order they canceled one of the items from the order. Because they sold out the item after I ordered it. Almost eight weeks to deliver is bad enough. I was given a delivery date. After I waited home, missing work, in the late morning I was called to tell me they could not deliver the items. I was given a second delivery date. I was again called the day the delivery was to come, with them saying a second time they were rescheduling. The third date, you guessed it they rescheduled. When the truck did show only half the order and they are asking me to receive the other half on yetW another day off of work. To make things worse I was charged for the items twice and charged for delivery three times. After I went to the store they acted like I was lying about being charged twice. I still don't know if the billing is straight.
Second Story
Ordered an internet order during this same period of time for pickup. Received an email my order was ready. Went to pick it up and they had no idea where the order was. Waited over an hour while they counted out the 300 items on the order. The sad thing here is someone that came to the store to purchase a similar item had his order pulled ahead of me.
If you are foolish enough to shop Lowes go to the store pick out your items and take them home. If you don't you may be paying multiple delivery charges and paying for your items multiple times.
It may be a good idea to find another place to shop.
Lowes should be ashamed of themselves for now making Veterans jump through hoops to get a 10% discount now! Instead of just showing your military or veterans identification card Lowes is forcing all eligible to bring your ID or dd214 and sign up for another card of there own! Yes thats right! Making 80+ yr old war heroes and all others of the armed forces enter information to get one of theyre lowes customer cards in order to get the discount that they simply just had to show theyre id cards before! Why dont they just do away with it if thats what they really want?. Shame on lowes for this action! This veteran just did his last shopping at lowes forever! I plan on posting this stupid military enroll form at all the vfw halls and American legions as well that i go to. Also spreading the word. Veterans Dont Be Used by Lowes marketing schemes! Home Depot is for Veterans! Not Lowes! They are and will always accept your own identity cards and not force a veteran to get a home depot card! Shame on Lowes!
The biggest drawback to Lowes is there aren't enough of them. Their quality is Superior to their competition, but they are too far away to go there often.
Sad in Mid-Michigan
After two years of trying to resolve a damaged online order of a shower surround, I gave up. It never got installed! I still have it. Just paid it off yesterday! Shaun from the Conroe location never finished helping me and dropped the ball. I spoke with the GM of the woodlands store and he said he would take care of it. He never did a thing! I called today to speak with Shaun again and Alissa from that location was incredibly rude, even laughing at me while I was crying. She said, " WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" Nobody wants to take responsibility! I had big dreams of a second bathroom. Two years later, this pos shower surround is still on the floor in the boxes it came in. Lowes dropped the ball on me time and time again. The final twist of the knife... I just paid it off last week and they charged me a late fee! It was one day late because I accidentally took it off of Autopay after making a balloon payment. I paid over $1000 last week and closed my account. This is yet another negative review of many I've left. Lowes has never contacted me, never tried to make it right. Worst company ever!
PAID FOR BATHROOM AND POWDER ROOM REMODEL $******* April 15th it's August 18th and still not completed Lowes blamed us for some of the problems. But we had several cancelled deliveries. COUNTER TOPS STAINED. SHOWER RODS BOWED. NEVER AGAIN WILL I deal with lowes. I had other remodel projects 10 interior doors kitchen counter tops but I would be a fool to let Lowes do the jobs. On 11-22-23 my compressor went out on my refrigerator. I called Lowe's protection plan and filed a claim. I purchased with Lowe's.The refrigerator is a Whirlpool Wrt311fzdb Wp 20.5-cu Ft Wrt311fzdb my compressor was out on 11/22/2023. I filed two claims one for the refrigerator and one for food lost.The service provider they sent JDS was also horrible. They did not come out until 11/30/2023 and I was told that was because they were waiting on a compressor. However that was just another lie. When the service provider came he stated that Lowe's did not approve the clam and then JDS canceled my claim. I called Lowe's back and was given another service provider however that company does not fix compressors. I was told that someone would contact me on December 1,2023 and that never happen. I called on December 2nd and I told them per my plan I'm to get a replacement cost of my refrigerator and was told it would take 2 business days. By now it has been a total of 6 business days still no reimbursement or a refrigerator. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well and getting an attorney regarding this matter.No one should not have to go throw this. I will never purchase anything else at Lowe's. This has caused me significant inconvenience and has resulted in eating out which I hate. My family and I are use to home cooked meals.
Lowe's delivered a damaged fridge not once but TWICE to me. Didn't want to exchange it and bring in employees in our house for safety in the midst of this coronavirus outbreak. Tried to call them many times, the first employee would take down my name and phone number, then have to redirect me to someone else. The first time I called them I was given an email to send a picture of the damage, and the employee said he will redirect me to the manager. He hung up on me. Did not receive a reply to the email nor a callback from the manager. The second time I called them they took my address and phone number down and redirected me to an employee. Then I got hung up on. Super unprofessional, doesn't even answer the phone with the company's name. Also phone call keeps sending me back to the menu option even after I press a number on the key. Employees don't know how to do their job and always have to redirect you to the manager. Often times they don't even redirect you properly and send you to the wrong department. I've had to ping pong back and forth between departments because they just don't want to take my call. Third time I tried to call them they kept redirecting me to the wrong people, and then just hung up on me. I just want part of my money back because I know in stores they sell damaged appliances for discounted prices. Keep in mind I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars here already for appliances because I've recently moved. Don't even waste your time calling. They are not here to help you.
We went to Lowe's on July 3,2018 to begin the process of having blinds installed in our new home. Since then the process has been a nightmare. There is absolutely NO communication between the installer and Lowe's. After the installer measured, he said Lowe's would have our measurements within an hour, but when we went the next day we were turned away beacause Lowe's hadn't received them. When we finally picked our blinds it took TWO HOURS in the store to have them ordered and sign a contract. Our blinds arrived in the mail two weeks later, yet it took another week to hear from installer, and a week after that to have them come out. When they finally arrived, half the blinds were the wrong size! It was hell to have them reordered (another month long process) and when the installer came out again there were pieces missing and one of the blinds was still too long! We couldn't believe the incompetence, inconvenience and lack of response from Lowe's. We made multiple calls to the store manager and even corporate office with official complaints with promises to receive calls back, which never came. It is now mid-October ( a whole month after contract expired) and we still don't gave all the blinds we paid for. We have not even received any kind of call with an apology or so much as a coupon for reimbursement. I paid Lowe's in full in July and haven't even been offered a discount! We urge anyone reading this to avoid Lowe's installation services at all costs! We definitely will never be using them again!
